Kawhi in the last two healthy seasons he's led his team to the conference finals (where he had his team blowing out Golden State before getting injured) and a championship, earned an all NBA first and second team selection, and led his team to a 2 seed twice with 58+ wins both seasons. He's accomplished far more in his last 2 healthy seasons then AD has ever accomplished thus far in his career.

Reasons why Kawhi is the best player: 1. Lebron is 35 and doesn't play great defense anymore, in fact the stats show he's actually terrible now. He doesn't lockdown and he's laughably bad at switching now! He will be remembered as a great defender in his prime but that's not the case anymore. To be the best you have to play great on both ends. 2. KD is out for the season next year and who knows how he will be being 32 years old coming off the worst basketball injury a player can have. So he's out of the picture. AD is NOT proven deep in the playoffs and is consistently injured. To be the best you have to have gotten out of the first round of the playoffs. His stats are wonderful but he might end up like Kevin Love or Bosh playing alongside LeBron. Kawhi can score 25 points on almost 50-40-90 shooting splits like KD and he's one of the 5 most devastating defenders and has shown he's the best closer in the NBA and the best two way player! Crown him! 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑

Kawhi already bested LeBron is a Finals matchup when he won the Finals MVP against a PRIME LeBron lead Miami Heat team when he was ONLY 22 years old. I love LeBron he is the greatest SF of all-time and by the time he finishes his career he will arguably go down as one of the top 5 DOA. He's that good. But LeBron is not a dynamic two way player anymore, he struggles in clutch moments because of his terrible free throw shooting and lackadaisical defense. Besides passing and volume scoring there's nothing at this stage LeBron does better than Kawhi. Kawhi is more efficient offensively and a better defender and is on par in terms of rebounding.

Kawhi had Duncan, Parker, Ginobili allstars and all of famers and the Spurs were second favorite to win it all that year. Kawhi is a one of a kind player. He's such a unique player that we haven't seen before. One of the best two way players of all time. His all time regular season stats aren't great but he's a winner and goes toe to toe with the best ever. Sad that once he retires we probably won't hear from him because he's so reserved. The whole starting lineup is brand new. Kawhi, Danny Green, Marc Gasol, and Siakam were all new starters. So not the same team. And being above average players doesn't cut it in this league of superteams no more. What Kawhi did with these bunch of role players is legendary.

@@nicks4021 Can't state something like that as being a fact. KD's game doesn't revolve around athleticism as much as both those players. He is also an elite shooter. He will likely return to be nearly as good as he was after next season.

When KD played in game 5 I genuinely felt how strong his presence is while in the field. He can shoot everywhere and defend just like kawhi. Kawhi is the better player in this season and maybe the best player rn but in overall I pick KD over him.
