I hope his daughter appreciates having her dad around and loving her. So many daughters would of loved to spend time with their fathers, even if it was paddle boating, but that daddy-daughter time is priceless. She has a dad that loves her and wants to spend with her. So many dads are in the world not caring or abandoning their children.
Currently 40% of all children in American children don’t have fathers. This isn’t race thing at all like people claim, this is truly universal in our country and it’s a real problem.
She's so lucky that she has a dad who wants to spend time with her, who pays attention to her interests and makes an effort. And actually does things with her. Sadly that's so rare with fathers, stepping up with their kids or their daughters in general.
My daughter was visiting from college and I took her on a seven hour kayaking trip down the San Joaquin River. It was the only time I could get with her that was alone. She wanted to spend her time back home with all her friends. I respect Gary for putting in the effort.
Girl enjoy your dad as long as you can. My dad was in my life but nothing like this. It was a do as I say kind of thing. For a very long time I resented my dad for the way I was raised, however, it has made me stronger.
I never realized just how much my dad loved all of us until he was no longer here. I know now that he loved us in the best way he could. Love you too Daddy!
It's nice he married a woman who had a child. I'm a Oakland native my Mother became a widow when I was 13..I had 5 siblings under me. We grew up on 37th and Webster and life was good. We have precious memories of my Dad..I'm a native almost 70..was she a Panther? That was one scary gang...the leader died chasing drugs. Sorry you suffered difficulties growing up. Our Mother was amazing.
I’m just saying. I didn’t have my dad around. If Gary Owen was her dad and I had a chance to switch...I would do it without question. Respect and love your parents. You only get one set.

His ex wife needs to support their relationship now they they are divorced. If she was worried about tjem being close before them divorce don't matter. He's still her Dad. Encourage her to talk to him and atleast try.
But also , if their relationship didn't work out. Then the kids automatically taking the moms side, makes them not want to talk to the Dad. So he should have a fair chance of making relationships with his kids . @@anonymoususer4866
I don't want to judge because this is the first time ever seeing this show (The Gary Owen Show) but their daughter seems very spoiled to me. It's such a blurred line between giving your children everything you never had growing up and spoiling them.
Your daughter is beautiful. I wish my father would of did anything positive with us instead of kidnapping us when I was 4 and treating us like shit just to get back at my mom for divorcing his cheating ass...
@Darel Daniels Lol😂😂...aww cmon though.. not all teens are..when i was a teenager i wasnt..i was hard working, humble, and thankful....(and my parents are wealthy and created what many would consider a privileged life for us....from the outside atleast)..BUT..my parents did us a favor by making it very clear that this wasn't ours, that we too had to work our asses off if we wanted xyz, and that we better respect our elders and our peers etc....even as a child i had responsibilities, consequences, morals, and expectations to meet...we weren't given everything..we had to work our butts off etc...and now as a young adult i appreciate the fact that they checked us, were strict and cut throat with us... I meet teens today that are far from lazy, and are extremely progressive.. Give them a lil credit lol

The one that told a woman her missing daughter was dead, causing the women to commit suicide, then several years later, it was discovered the daughter was kidnapped and still alive? Oh yeah, she's great!

@Cheryl Young when you are a black woman in America and people on the magazine are white people on TV are white when are told by society your not good enough you dont think that plays a psychological toll on a person denied employment because of our natural hair
