I always hated that kind of crap. I've removed snakes, rats, birds and everything else from condensing units and furnaces. I removed a flue pipe once and turned loose a squirrel in a house. It about gave me a heart attack.
Caps should be installed upside down. Keeps the terminals cleaner and makes it much harder for something to bridge them. (A good quality cap won't leak upside down.)
I ran across one of your other videos... Homeowner using wrong type of filter (too restrictive). So if I donr find a video on your channel, whats the best filter type / media to use? My return is a 20x25x1, the one behind blower is a 16x25x1. Thanks
I find sooo many mice in refrigeration condensing units in and out-doors. Usually they go to build nest in fan shroud area when unit is off and then when it starts, they get killed by fan blade. On smaller reach-ins it can stall the fan and trigger service call. Pidgeon on rooftop units once and a while. Use a screwdriver to engage the contactor, your either brave or stupid.
Had a chipmunk do the same thing! But in the process of slow roasting before bursting into flames,he sent some extra voltage to the furnace board! Trane system also!
Does anyone have experience with soft start kits. I have a customer asking about them because he had a generator installed. I don't have any experience with them and conveyed this to the customer but he is persistent. Is there a brand I should be looking at or problems to watch for?
Just had a new ac system installed and I noticed water accumulating under the outside unit coming from the sweating accumulator. Is this normal? Im from florida.
Usually see them fail after a power surge from a storm where the lights flicker multiple times. I know you can install a module that keeps your system from seeing all the power blips.
