Max definitely don’t hate edgelord characters; he’s always drawn towards them in every game he plays lol Never heard him say he hates them, and I have to assume if he did it was in a typical Max deadpan sarcastic way where he states the opposite of the obvious. But if he was serious, he’s definitely in denial lol
He loves Noob Saibot and Spawn in MK. Loves Vincent Valentine and Cloud Strife in FF. He also mains Nightmare in Soul Calibur, mains Reaper in Overwatch, yea, the guy loves his edgy characters. It's just when the edginess goes too far he can't stomach it, such as DmC Donte
The instance that I thought of when writing this was talking about Devil Jin, which is a pretty extreme case, I’ll admit. But I’d also argue the whole black and red vibe, with double bloody twinblades is dangerously close to DVJ territory
Jumping into this is like playing elden ring on release again. The same endless joy just being there, the absolute wonder and amazement at absolutely everything there is. Everyone just happy
@@marlow21I love and embrace the difficulty, but the performance issues on PC is upsetting, happened on initial release of the main game as well. Constant micro-stuttering...
@@ocean_0602 Depends on your hardware it seems, and it's not a thing like "best CGs have no problem", it seems pretty random. I have very few stuttering with my 3080, I have a friend on a 4080 where it's just ass. FS are beasts in terms of everything except technical stuff
Hell yeah! Also Blackgaol knight for anyone wondering seems to have player Poise matching the armour/moveset. People who don't use UGS seem painfully unaware that you get hyper armour during a swing. So a lot of light weapon users are running into him and finding he is a bit of a brick wall because you can't stun him out of his attacks. This is why I'm unga bunga for life.
@@facelesshalo5174 thinking about it i realized its prolly because that twinblade has a locked like 50 buildup mine has like 105, idk why weapons that originally have bleed end up having less build up than weapons you apply it on once you upgrade them
I've watched 3 streamers start this DLC and I've played about 25 hours myself, and I'm convinced that there's like 7 different versions of this DLC with how different everyone's experiences are. Every person I've watched has found bosses and locations I didn't even know existed in the first 30 mins.
i'm wondering how max's blackgaol knight didn't have fire crossbow shots but mine did? Is it different on that level? This game is a masterpiece if so. and a masterpiece if not haha
@@ssholygoku He can use either at any given point. I've had fights with him where he started with fire bolts, then did normal ones, and vice versa. Seems to be RNG.
If you haven't figured it out by now, you have to upgrade with the scadutree blessings to upgrade within the DLC. Its definitely makes a difference. Rellana and the dancing lion are much tougher then the gaol knight in the masoleum.
2:17:04 really glad you didn’t end up killing him here cause the real hype of this fight is him constantly changing elements and forms rapidly, probably one of my favorite fights in the whole game
Love how the first boss Max runs to is the perfect antithesis to his build lol. I hope he sticks with his set-up, im running a two handed str build and am enjoying the difference in experiences
After my first two disastrous attempts, I immediately jumped back to "no lock-on". Solved it in 6-10 tries, 20min maybe? Camera was an issue. But also you evade his attacks more easily when you can move freely!
Every time he did the one attack where he just stands and spins like 3 times spitting my camera would freak out when I was close. Other than that though I had no problems
15:00 mohg tear? I’ve beaten this boss 3 times and never heard of this lol. I just always made sure to have max healing items and used 3 during the blood phase
It's because he, like most players, are neglecting scadatree blessings. I went at this boss once I was at around level 6-8, base level 150, and the boss was nowhere near as tanky nor hard hitting. Still tough, but those blessings help out a lot.
She's tougher than Malenia... If you're encountering her early without those silly blessings gimmick... She's ridiculous, she makes Malenia looking slow like a slug. But that riding skeleton bastard is even worser, much, much, much worser. The poor camera can't even keeping up with the mostly bosses I has encountered this far. The hippo is a nightmare, but funny enough I defeated the famous dancing lion boss on first try with just 4 heals.
Hello Max love watching your game plays and while I watch going to eat spaghetti I see a lot of people play this game it looks awesome good luck beating the game😊
Normal Person: "Maybe if I come back later, I'll have found a sledge hammer to knock down this wall." Max: "Maybe if I keep headbutting this wall, the blood will lubricate it enough that it'll just slide out of the way."
I did the same thing against the lion dancer. It was a pixel away from death on second try and I died. Then had to make a few more passes. Great boss and dungeon
I love this game so frickin much. And half of it is seeing guys like Max struggle on bosses I spent 5 minuitnes on, just to turn around a one go a boss I spent 5 hours on 😂
LOL to see Max like this on bosses is funny. This game makes people so angry sometimes. The Rage is real! = ) The patience in this game is on another level.
I did this with the colossal greatsword, heavy infused with Savage Lions Claw Ash of War. The flip actually helps you avoid some of its attack and you can do a second flip after it, it was a clumsy fight because the camera is ass in this fight.
Went straight for glackgaol knight myself too and was giving me the same trouble but than changed to my maxed out starscourge greatsword and got him on third try. That greatsword attacks and skill was just tossing him around.
What level are people getting to and still finding coop? Is 150 like the cutoff ive seen somewhere. Also it's so great to see Max enjoying himself and trying to learn patterns after watching Asmon stream this and malf at his chat cause just Jump attacks didn't work on every boss
Love that the 1st Gaol boss can be a challenge for certain builds, and a pushover for others. Watched someone else guard counter him to death like it was nothing and win in 2 tries.
I didn’t think he was too bad but I had some scadu tree shards built up and used moonveil/cold katana I tried wing of astel and cold mantis blade and had him down to 1 hit and died but switch to the katanas and got him next try with max the twinblade usually staggers but not senor poiseman
I'm a strenght build and I parried him into oblivion on the first try. It really is different for everybody, depending on your build. Meanwhile, other bosses are tough as nails for a strenght character like mine.
That wasn’t the first time he did that attack to Max lol. I have been watching that attack. He was too focused to notice he’s been dodging the follow well up until it finally got him. First time i miss timed that follow up. I remember the damage it put out. Same with running out of stamina and suffering a visceral. One shot me from full health. Watched my stamina hard from there lol.
I really love watching dancing lion when i was a kid, and god damn never think they could be badass video game boss (because they are good deity) someone in fromsoft really has a wild idea
I’m so happy you fought so long against Blackgaol knight. I heard all about him, and was wondering why I STILL haven’t found him. It’s because I already have, I just saw a boss door and said hell no! and ran the other way on Day 1.
12:30 my first play through was strength /intelligence 😂 I got my dark moon blade before I even went to the atlus plateau. Wasn't easy. But that's what I did through the rest of the game. 250 hours I think on my first play through.
Your weapon choice/build made that first knight miniboss sooooo much harder than he needed to be. I beat him second try with my strength build using Rotten Staff. Also you may have been hindering yourself sticking to dual wielding. Two handing for most weapons does more poise damage to inerrup their combos. I'm not sure though in your case since I haven't used the weapons you had equipped very much.
Why was the BlackGaol Knight different for me? (Also was playing on PC) But the room was not the bright, I had to have my lantern on, also why was he firing normal arrows at you? He fired flaming arrows at me?
@@duwanglover3424 I see that he does both types of arrows, though against me in the 30+ attempts he never once used regular arrows on me lol. And the brightness idk, cause everywhere else my game looks the same as Max.
idk if its just me but ive tried a couple of the bosses with and without the npc summons and i feel like they are significantly easier without them. Idk how the mechanics of that work specifically but I beat both Dancing Lion and Rellana only a few tries after i stopped using the summons.
Not sure if my opinion will matter but on PS5 twitch, when loading the vod or stream when you was playing it didn't show anything so thankyou for the fast upload so could watch❤
Ngl i just like exploring and taking in the sights and designs, its a stunning game. I played perfume and throwing blades a lot. It absolutely shreds pretty much every boss. Do i feel like im cheating the system? No, they gave us the abilities, so i use them. Its still incredibly fun.
