We got to see Yadi still be a dominant catcher after 20 years. We got to see Pujols reach 700 dingers. We got to see Waino reach 200 wins. I’m not a cardinals fan but man it’s great to see this trio of legends each go out on top in their own ways and terms.

I’m glad his 200th got to be a legitimately good start. Good for him, hopefully it was worth sticking around this year for him. Wins don’t mean as much as they used to, but 200 big league wins is no joke

You also got to remember that this is his first year ever without Yadi behind the dish. Like it was at a point where Wainwright said he knows what pitch to throw by just looking in each other's eyes. I know his issue this year is more than just not having Yadi but it probably plays a pretty big factor.

Well deserved for Adam Wainwright. Happy for him. As a Mariners fan, it sucks that Felix Hernandez never got a shot getting close to 200 career wins (169-136 career record). When he was dominant from 2009-2014 the Mariners offense was soo bad. Many of his loses or no decisions were cause the offense hardly scored during his starts. He basically had to pitch a complete game in order for them to win. Then his arm was never the same since 2015. By 2019, his arm was blown out. If he had 200 wins in his career, he would have had a shot at the HOF.

I'm a lifelong Cardinal fan, and am a year older than Waino. I'm so happy for him! He's straight up one of the biggest class acts in all of sports. Even though he has stunk this year, he deserved to get to 200 wins. He would have easily made it if not for losing nearly 2 full seasons due to injury in his prime. I'm so glad he'll get to go out on somewhat of a high note, although the team is bad.

I'm proud of adam, he never kept his head down and didn't let the nasty comments get to him, and this wasn't luck. He, actually as a 40 year old man, identified his biggest problem, which was that his curve ball just didn't take batters off his other pitches anymore, and decided to lower his arm slot and turn his normally 12 to 6 curve into almost like a modern sweeper. just he did his own way, and this was just enough to pitch like a true pitcher again. I know its been ugly but I'm for sure telling my kids about this to make sure they never give up at what they are doing. well done adam, your a class act, and it was super nice of you to chat with my dad and I at bush wildlife sanctuary couple years ago.

Adam got 200 wins in 18 years. what the fuck happen of the 300 wins. 200 doesn't compared to 300. which WAS the norm for pitchers to even be considered to be a HOFer. 200 is now the standard. just like getting 2,000 hits to what once was 3,000 to be the goal for a hitter. the standard to be great player has turned to shit. what the fuck happened to this sport!!

Adam wainwright has had a fine career, and while he isn’t a power pitcher, as the other pitchers you highlighted, has still won 200 games, an achievement. Your video, had done a great job of highlighting every bad pitch he has made. What you left out was verlander had a long period where he got lit up, he even considered retirement . Somehow , I feel if he was a Red Sox player you would be heaping praise on him, instead, we see game one of the 2013 World Series, and good pitches that were hit. His 200 wins is an achievement. You paint Adam as a pitcher who is lucky to have the career he has had, and a goofy guy-with his singing career.

Not going to lie, I'm going to cry when he walks off the field for the final time.... Or takes his final AB, the guy always loved hitting, and since we don't have anything else to lose this year... they might just use the Ohtani Rule and let him DH and pitch a few times. He did have a couple good outings in August too. His start against the Padres he only gave up a single run all game, and then the bullpen gave up 3 more. Unfortunately the offense never bothered to show up for him in that game. Same could be said for some of this other outings. Yeah he had those where he gave up 7 runs in just 2 or 3 innings, but he'd gradually been getting better throughout August, but with little run support. The one against the Braves was to be expected though. Cardinals had just beaten the crap out of them in back to back games, and the Braves were pissed. No way they were letting that happen again.
