It's funny how I see so many people on here calling it overpriced crap, but with every review that I've seen, the reviewers, who actually have one, love it. They say it even performs just as good, if not better than the higher priced options. One reviewer, boosted media, even thinks the quality of the plastic is better than some of the metal housings on other brands. I myself will probably buy one because of all the good reviews it has gotten. I have yet to see a negative review! To those looking to buy one, I would listen to the people who actually have one, and not the people making speculative comments because they want everyone to believe what they have, or what they are a fan of, is the best. Often times people knock other things to make themselves feel better about what the already own!
There's merrit to it being overpriced but for 999 you get the motor and wheel, where as, say, the equivilant fanatec motor and wheel combo, you get the 8nm motor for 500 and a cheap wheel for 150, or an equal wheel for 400, totalling 900 anyway. Very close price range, and i know which brand i'd trust more for reliability
Agree. But keep in mind UK reviewers. I bought my G Pro wheel and pedals for a little over 1K USD, but if I were in the UK Logitech would want 1.7K for the exact same thing.

14:38 Drifting 101 1. Begin with donuts, big or small, and both sides. 2. Do figure 8's, this where you learn transitions. 3. Once you nail figure 8's and feel comfortable, download a drifting course on Assetto Corsa, pick a low speed one to begin and stick with it until you nail it. Observations: Don't care about changing gears, you will need only the 2nd gear to learn low speed drifting, also, you need to get use with the wheel turning itself, your wheel will always turn faster than your hands, and you need that speed, learn to make micro adjustments, the car won't drive itself, the wheel turns because of weight transfer. One more thing, you don't really need a handbrake to learn how to drift, but certainly helps a lot, just remember to kick the clutch while you pull the handbrake. Drifting is hard to learn but very rewarding, once you learn it, it's like riding a bicycle, you will never forget!
Also, in ac overinflate your rear tires to help a bit more with the loss of traction. You dont have to go fast to drift, you can even ride the brakes a bit... the flow will come with practice. IF you ever get into VR, you'll be feeling like a driftking, as all the inputs to create the sideways movement on the screen will transfer much easier through your eyes in a set of goggles. Good luck on nailing those combo's once you get the basics done. Remember, it's the balance between your hands and feet, that keep a car in balance.
In the early 90'sI built a wheel from a real racing steering wheel, an old joystick and some rubber bands for resistance. I played Indie 500, it was a blast! But even then, the hamster in the wheel, dreamt at night of things that would become reality 30 years later.
@@guig16 It isn't. Equal Wheels such as the Moza R9 or Simagic Alpha Mini are roughly equa. Some people like the TrueForce feature, others don't. It has little to do with the ForceFeedback itself, but is more an addition to it. The biggest advantage Logitech has is that they can be used for Consoles and fill the gap that Fanatec has between their CSL DD (that is only using a stepping instead of a servo motor) and their DD1 / DD2. Also their pedals seem to be better than everything Fanatec has to offer.
After about 3 weeks of watching, listening and contemplating what DD ecosystem to get into, 2 options were really all that made any sense for me living in Canada due to the $ and shipping, Moza or Logitech. I decided on the G Pro , as my guess is this ecosystem has the best chance at staying relevant longterm. My 5 year G920 wheel looks and works like new and there's still a market for them. All the other options I'm not too sure about. Hope more wheel options come along soon and it will be interesting to see what the mod community comes up with. 🙂
Getting Fanatec 8nm, with a set of wheels with universal hub xbox quick release, Pedals with clutch load cell, Is 1199 vs logitec pro 11nm with pedals 1260. Im still trying to choose and pull trigger!!
This DD wheel costs 1300 euros (base and pedals). When you can get this combo for 970 euros from fanatec the only think is that this whell it has a bit lower torque.
Are you speaking of the 8NM one? If so its a fair bit of torque difference so if you want their more powerful direct drive, , its about $300 difference for the unit, so it kind of puts it in line with this pricing - thought the fanatec then has more torque - but basically this in the middle somewhere.
You can get that combo with the worst dd wheel on the market, and the cheapest pos basic wheel on the market, and good pedals. Who would have guessed that buying worse products for a lower price would cost less?
The Fanatec pedals/wheel in that combo suck. No load cell, no Trueshock, less torque, inferior button layout. You'll end up paying more for a proper Fanatec setup.
unfortunately this won't work for console users, but logitech says they're coming out with an adapter to work with old pedals and shifters directly with the new wheel for console users. Plus... its pretty obvious we're just waiting for them to come out with more and more peripherals for this platform. It'll print money
My Playseat Evolution and G29 are a little over a decade old now. Micro Center opens here in May, and I'll be able to walk out of a retail store with a DD pro under my arm. I'm ready. Thing is, that's about as far as I really want to take it. I've looked, and I can't seem to find anyone that's bolted one of these to an Evolution. I guess that should be a sign right? To make matters worse, the only thing I'm really interested in is the Playseat Sensation, and those carry a high price that's even higher in the US. I got into this in the late nineties, and I'm an old man now. It's a very old hobby for me. If I could get away with a partial upgrade, that would be great.. but I'm not so sure I'm willing to invest in an entirely new rig Outstanding research. Out of every review I've watched, you're the first person that's pointed out the rotation limit. Thank you! Spinning like a fan after a crash is something I consider very unrealistic. I think Logitech probably saw what was in store for fanatec, and are waiting for the competition to disappear before they release optional Wheels😅 To have been new at this, you gave a much better review than others.. especially for the Logitech fan. I believe there's a different set of standards and features that are far more important to us than the masses.
Does Acc (PC) recognize the Logitech Pro Wheel in "pro wheel" mode? My wheel does not work in pro wheel mode. I have to use the G923 Compatibility mode with my pro wheel for it to work. Not sure if it's just my wheel?
What I would like to know is what arcade racers will work with this wheel. Obviously the ones on the official list. But what about older games like grid 2, dirt 2/3 , NFS series. There is an g923 compatibility mode. Does this mean it will work with all games that worked on g923?The reason I asked was that grid 2 , NFS heat / payback /2016 and dirt 3 are officially supported by the g923 but are not mentioned in compatibility list even with g923 mode
Fanatecs Sequential clubsport shifter does not work when plugged into this wheel with the USB dongle. It still requires a separate connection and as such will only work with this wheel on PC and not console.
What happens for example in GT7 if I set the max torque to 5/10 and on the wheel I set it to say 5 nm? Does this mean the effective max torque would be 2.5 nm?
Just bought one thanks for the in-depth info. There is a bit of a discount now on the pair but still not cheap. But Fanatec's abysmal customer service, ridiculous lead times and limited console compatibility sold me on this wheel pedal combo.
I am going to set up my Logitech G Pro Wheel and Pedals this weekend and I wanted to ask if anyone knows if I must install the 300 Watt Power Brick for the Pro Wheel directly into a wall outlet or could I plug it into a (Panamax Power Line Surge Protector - Conditioner)? Hey buddy. Tips for drifting: start with the old bmw, it's very well balanced and it would make your life a lot easier. Use street 90 tries if you have the option. Start with small drifts. Practice circles, move to eights and connect them. When drifting, try to always be in a gear that would allow you to drift at 70%-80% of revs, on the drift map, I can do a full circle in the 3rd gear while driving the bmw. Don't try to make things happen, you need to lose the grip and let the car dance :), don't let her fall tho, catch it in time and control the drift with the acceleration, break and clutch. You wanna lose grip and you can't? Clutch kick. You wanna increase the angle of the drift? Accelerate a little harder Wanna extend a drift? Slight brake mid drift plus acceleration all the way (don't over do it as you will lose too much speed). This was a very messy advice but if you listen to few of the points you'll naturally get it. You probably know the general rule, practice makes perfect.
For drifting, I tried AC just with a gampad and found the car doesn't turn or lose traction how I would imagine. People say it has good real world physics but it really made me doubt that or think there are some settings that need to be changed.
Gamepads in assetto typically hit wheel lock immediately in a very unrealistic way. Imagine if you were driving at 40 miles an hour and your wheel went from straight to maximum lock in an instant. That's basically gamepad on assetto...
actually just made a comparison with fanatec, and the 8nm GT DD comes in for about €200 cheaper, but it also depends on what whell you buy with it. I picked the McLaren GT3 steeringwheel for this occasion. That wheel is only €200. If you get a wheel similair to the logitec wheel you end up with something like the fanatec clubsport GT v2, which is priced at €400, making the sets pretty much equal in price.
I am quite happy the market is opening up. It just shows that we are now getting spoiled for choices. Having a Fanatec myself now, I am still relishing the fact that my old G29 got me here.

if you are still struggling with drifting i would recommend a doing an experience day in real life. couple hundred dollars but you will learn and feel the most important thing. Weight transfer.. it is unbelievably difficult to learn how to be good in sims without that feeling of inertia or alternatively if you have nice car irl practice some figure 8s in a quiet industrial area
Can somebody help me out here. Can you connect the Thrustmaster shifter and handbrake at the back? Does it work when i play GT7 and AC on the PS5? Or does the shifter and handbrake only work with PC?
I don’t believe it would work on console unfortunately. On PC the shifter and brake could be connected directly to the computer but on console they would not be recognized through the USB ports on the wheel base.
Would be great if their support was any good. Decided to purchase. It’s a lot of money! Bought pedals and wheel together from their shop . Wheel arrived within a week. Still waiting for pedals a month later. Said they were in stock and on way .Support worse than useless. Loads of promises nothing happens. Just told to be patient. Shocking Just awful one star service . Will give it a few days then going to return although looking at the one star trustpilot reviews then this will be a nightmare AVOID
a real steering wheel doesn't even go to 11. In fact, I have mine about 6nm, and that's about the same as my lotus elise s2 with it's manual steering. My Genesis G70 with a weighty electronic power steering feels like a 3nm. The lotus emira I test drove is like a 3.5-4nm. the 11's are probably reserved for F1 cars...
@@ele_112 The issue is long term reliability. Type-C is designed so that if there is any significant force applied to the port, it would damage the cable and not the port itself. To be honest, a large Type-B connector like those used on printers would've been better since those are a lot more heavy duty. Micro-USB is just not reliable enough for this kind of application in my opinion. On some people's setups, this would be on a sim rig in the middle of a room where people could potentially trip over the cable
I've been playing on a Logitech wheel since gt4 days with the driving force pro gt I still have. The g29 feels great at first but absolute junk after someone hits you hard a few times. I'm sure most people won't notice. But after that happens it's like playing golf with plastic golf clubs. I would never give Logitech that much money, the quality just gets worse and worse.. but I feel like that's all companies. The products suffer because everything is too top heavy with profits over everything. Maybe the g29 needs this brass encoder ring I'm hearing about. If I flick the ps switch mid race the wheel strokes out before recalibrating, good condition g29s don't do this
However I think the wheelbase is to big, just as the price It's looks great. The only thing I don't like are the pedals. To expensive for the plastic. There are better options for that price. And if you don't have a pedal plate on your rig then they're not usable.
This guy said the g923 was better than the t300 rs gt. He was a bold liar and had to be paid for that. I had the t300 rs first then used the g923, the 23 was HORRIBLE.
Problem is that it's not compatible apparently with forza horizon 5, so honestly its not much needed for me and there is better gear still costing at 300
Where are the new shifters? Where are the GT or F1 style wheels? $1400 for the plastic, disgusting.... We made a removable steering wheel, but we won't provide steering wheels anytime soon. What we have at the moment - zero modifications, no ecosystem, dumb micro usb

Goes up to 11... only... I don't see a good reason as to why people are buying it. It's overpriced. (The Fanatec DD1 that goes up to 20Nm is 1100, No, you don't get a wheel, but that wheel shouldn't justify the cost of it either, or if you just want a DD wheel, CSL DD will work just fine.) The G Hub software is alright... sometimes. The pedals from what I heard and saw aren't the best either, not to mention that at the price of 389€, you could be going with Fanatec Clubsport V3s for 10€ more, or the new Asetek Forte pedals which come at 498€. In my opinion, this is a waste of money.

@@Silentjackll the combo for something like this costs about 100 to 200 less from fanatec, from what i've heard so far the wheelbase feels amazing, considering it's their first attempt at a DD wheel this is pretty good, the more competition the better, and i am curious to see what they will come up with in the next generation
