Every other league: Great, facing Delver again for the umpteenth time... This league: Could we please play against Delver just once so Seedtime can maybe do its thing?
25:32 And THAT, my friends, is how you jinx yourself! 🤣 You had your opponent at 2 at one point, and you missed two Goblin Welder attacks… one at the beginning of the game on T2 and one near the end on T5. 😭
I remember resolving Seedtime in my Old Stickfingers EDH Deck. I will never forget my the face of my opponent when he saw the card. He did not know it existed until then :D
You know what i really want to see? A Red Deck Wins that uses Final Fortune. Seen many games where having even a single extra turn for 2 mana would have won it easily. But I don't have donations so...
I'm fairly sure I resolved Seedtime, or had it resolve against me, back when it was in Standard. It was REALLY good when your opponent tapped out end step for Fact or Fiction, which was getting pretty annoying by the time Seedtime came out. Now Legacy? I could believe no one's even tried before.
I wrote up a mono-blue (plus Pyroblast) Painter list the other day that is also Stifle-Naught. I haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet, but it feels good. Has cantrips and counterspells instead of fast mana, and a second angle of attack - if you can't do the combo for whatever reason, just hit them for 12 a couple times.
@@nicholasfarrell5981 I haven't played this against anything, but here it is. 4 Force of Will 4 Daze 4 Brainstorm 3 Ponder 4 Stifle 2 Dress Down 2 Vision Charm 3 Pyroblast 4 Phyrexian Dreadnaught 4 Painter's Servant 3 Murktide Regent 2 Aether Spellbomb 1 Grindstone 1 (1-drop hate card appropriate to meta) 4 Urza's Saga 4 Scalding Tarn 3 Flooded Strand 3 Volcanic Island 5 Island Vision Charm is for the "phase out target artifact" mode. It's extra Stifles for the Dreadnaught plan, and as a bonus it can protect either part of the Painter combo from removal. Dress Down is to go EoT flash it in, then untap and either cast or Saga-fetch a Naught with no trigger, and also can just be good control sometimes. And if none of it manages to come together, just Murktide 'em.
1:13:30 Oh no, you made me click on a video I enjoyed thoroughly and watched all the way to the end. And it didn't cost me anything except that precious time I could have been staring at a wall, or whatever it is us NPCs do when we're not watching your videos.
The Hammer Time opponent beating you with the Citizen's Crowbar draft uncommon from SNC was pretty funny. I guess it's a Disenchant you can search up with Stoneforge Mystic.
Do you think that ancient grudge would be a nice sideboard add, if there was any? It’s already in your colors and with the self mill and fabled, it has a little bit of synergy there.
Deck feels like it needs faithless looting; you want stuff in the yard anyway, and it helps you regardless of if you're trying to combo or searching for an out.
Most of the red painter builds run 2-4 fable of the mirror breaker which does have a looting effect but also has a ton of other relevant text. That would be the better addition prob!
Why didn't you discard Wurmcoil to Fable trigger and just Weld it back into play when they attacked? You would have negated all of the life loss, traded creatures, and then also been up 2 wurmcoil tokens, and then ready to weld it out again on your turn.
