TV host and activist Mike Rowe speaks with CNN's Erin Burnett about the conversation he had with independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. about running for political office. #CNN #News
@@user-mw1lh9ed5u The Kennedy family has spoke out and said he is not fit to run our country he lacks the intelligence and the morals and our family will not support him or vote for him.
@@stevemitchell4241 I think most people would agree that Mr. Biden has good values and good character. He's not the youngest man in the neighborhood, but he seems earnest. I like the way he continues to demonstrate love and support for his son; even though his son is deeply messed up.
He's backtracking on a TON of opinions he held VERY recently, go look it up after listening to what he's saying now. He's been spewing anti vax nonsense for YEARS, telling people to not vaccinate their babies AT ALL. He's being put up to this by Trump supporters, Bannon himself has donated a ton of cash to this dude. Don't buy into this crap.
Listen to him you research him. Do you know what is for the economy? His plan for education, SS and Medicare? Does he have any experience in foreign policy? Is he going cut taxes for the wealthy, lower drug prices? He is being funded by republican donors. His family has spoke out and will not endorse him or vote for him. His family fears he will take votes from Biden that will help 45 be re elected. He is not going to win because the Kennedy’s are not voting for him they believe he isn’t president material and lacks good morals. He has not experience in government nor does his VP pick.
@@sunseeker9581 his conspiracies are based on fact dude, not only that, several of his "conspiracies" have been litigated and won in his favor.. so exactly when do they not become conspiracies?
Yeah the look on her face just turns to pure hatred at times its pretty funny. She obviously hasn't actually gone and given RFK a fair chance by watching one of his longform interviews cause if she had she wouldn't be acting like an immature teenage brat. Vote Kennedy24?
Lil' Ol' Erin really thinks that she is truly T.H.E. smart one in the room, and that means all rooms. Shallow, poorly educated, so badly indoctrinated she doesn't know she is indoctrinated, believes people of Faith are bumpkins, believes that only fools admire the Founders and the Constitution. I could go on, but, I am preaching to the converted most of the time.
It’s ALL THEY DO! They can’t be objective, their JOB is to lie and smear RFK Jr, the best candidate in 56 years. The man who WOULD release the JFK papers we were promised during Trump’s swamp session. Trump FAILED to release them!
She is focused on playing the "gotcha" game. RFK Jr. and Rowe are both similar types of guys in the respect that they sincerely care about providing positive solutions to the problems facing our country.
If you have never listened to a long interview of RFK I highly recommend it After everything ive heard, it sounds to me like people are afraid of how knowledgeable, intelligent, & kind he is so they call him names. Theres nothing wrong with thorough safety testing for things we give our children
I always tell people to listen to his opening statement at the House Committee on Censorship. I always enjoy listening to it and it's less than 10 minutes long.
Yes, if you want to see votes taken away from the Democratic candidate so that Trump can institute fascism in America. Kennedy's candidacy is very dangerous for America right now,
I sincerely hope people seriously consider voting for RFK Jr. He has some interesting ideas, and is a heck of a lot better than the 2 old guys that are going to re-battle 2020.
Im almost 82. I was 26 when Bobby Kennedy was assassinated. Some Precious part of ne died the night Bobby was murdered. But that part of me has been resurrected with Bobby Kennedy Junior's candidacy for POTUS. When I first heard he was running, had bought into the mainstream media portrayal of him as a conspiracy nut but I felt I owed it to Bobby senior to at least give his son a fair hearing. And after listening to many interviews I got a feel for his sincerity and Integrity. What's more, when I learned of his practicing a rigorously honest spiritual program, being an old Friend of Bill W's, well, that just put me over the moon! His emphasis on placing principles before personalities and not impugning the motives of others, but focusing only on policy differences keeps him out of the childish blame game pettiness which has characterized politics for the last few presidential cycles. For the last 15 years or so l've heard Republicans complain that liberals, like communists, want to redistribute the wealth from the Rich to the Poor. Well, I've been around a while and my experience over the last 50 years or so tells me that through corporate lobbying, payoffs, financing campaigns, etc., Corporate America has more than just captured the agencies which are supposed to regulate it. It has captured the Whole political system, both Republicans and Democrats, to essentially establish a political duopoly which has dismantled the union movement, decimated the middle class and created the homeless class; with exorbitant rental rates, interest rates on homes and credit cards, school loans, and stagnated wages over the last 45+ years And so, the Rich, like plutocrats, have been redistributing the wealth from the Poor to the Rich! Bobby knows how to stop this because he's been sueing corporations for polluting and injuring people and winning billions of dollars in judgments for the last 40 years And because for 40 years he's been sueing our government's Regulatory Agencies which have been captured buy the corporations they're supposed to regulate, he knows where and how corruption festers in these agencies and so, how to end it. If you loved and felt loved by Bobby, please give his namesake the benefit of the doubt and Google "Team Kennedy 24" and give him a listen. If you listen with your head and your heart, not your spleen, I think you'll find he's his father's son indeed!
What a great comment, Henry. I appreciate your eloquence and I agree with you on every point. I am already supporting Kennedy and will continue to do so. I would like Kennedy to address more convincingly the issue of his family's support for him (or lack thereof) because it hasn't set well with voters. He has said that most of his family supports him with the exception of "a few" of his relatives who had already committed to the Biden campaign or simply wanted to support Biden on the issues. No problem. Unfortunately, I haven't actually seen or heard anything from his family, one way or the other. If there is a skeleton in the closet, better to address it now while he has time to do damage control. I will check his website because I haven't done that yet.
@edrichard6153 I agree with you, I believe the reason some of his family doesn't support him is because they work on democratic party, and if they support him, they probably lose their jobs.
Sooooo refreshing. This kind of candor, and common sense, is what America is yearning for. No one needs to explain why RFK is connecting to the voters, as will Mike Rowe. Sounds so much more persuasive coming from someone who is not paying off porn stars. Also has a foundation not for self-enrichment but to actually help others. I am sold.
@@MachiavellisThePrince You are correct. Those supporting Biden are brilliant geniuses. Those supporting Trump are also being considered for the Nobel Prize. Only a crackpot would choose RFK over Biden or Trump.
@@UzairSiddiqui-xz7pr Biden might be old & forgettful. But at least he doesnt fall for nonsense conspiracy theories. The fact that this is happening in america ahould bring shame on the country. I honestly think a mental institute would have more sane people than rfk & trump
That reporter is so disingenuous! Why isn't CNN asking more fruitful questions? Americans are worried about the cost of living, rise of chronic disease and the environment. Who in America cares about what RFK Jr thinks about a vaccine that no one takes anymore. Mike Rowe did great not to fall in her traps to smear and insult RFK and provided some pretty intelligent responses. Hopefully CNN can manage some more intelligent conversations about the next president in the future, our country demands it.
IF the reporter was actually aware that theFDA asked Judge Tipman for over 70 years to release their safety data on the first vac, there would be no reason to debate this. It's clear. Kennedy was right.
If the reporter was aware that the f.dee.a asked the judge for over seventy years to release their safety data on that first V, it would be obvious that Kennedy was right.
The regulatory agency (I can't use their name or comments disappear) asked for over seventy years to release the safety info on the first injection. Kennedy was right. Period.
The MSM is shameful in their treatment of RFK and refusal to seriously interview him. But, he comes up with a short list and they are all in to slam him. 😂The man is brilliant. Everybody is talking!
I agree. I was disappointed when Mike Rowe became evasive he deflected, rather than discussing Kennedy's positions on vaccines. That was the only newsworthy question she asked the man - and he refused to answer. Too bad. I wanted to hear the answer. Does Mike Rowe agree with Kennedy - on the issue of vaccines?
@@mikejewpants4099 That's all they want to ask about. Vaccines are a very complicated subject and the MSM can't handle nuance. It likes black/white good/bad left/right. Life just isn't like that.
@@mikejewpants4099 the only newsworthy question? Jesus Christ he's addressed it 100s of times. That's ONE aspect of a campaign. You don't want to hear about the rest? Geez.
@bobk4438 independent candidates have more common sense than anyone and more intelligent than most politicians. There's been no other candidate in political history as honest and genuine as RFK.. Most of the news networks have been unfair to other candidates by spreading lies and slandering them with falsehoods.
Politics actually need people like Mike Rowe, Mike Rowe is a level headed, common sense sort of dude. He might actually embody the spirit of "public servant" which none of our politicians do now. I think he would be a good VP.
@@michaelspurling4376 hopefully they will debate and RFK Jr could show people that the MSM nonsense written about him is wrong. He actually has ideas on fighting chronic disease and has a new buyer housing plan that doesn't raise taxes, unlike Biden.
Seems like they would take more votes from Trump... a conspiracy pusher (RFK) and a pretend "pro-worker" millionaire grifter (Rowe) sounds right up the republican alley.
I actually like this guy. I didn’t think I would at the start of the interview, but he surprised me with some of his objective and honest responses. I don’t know about any of his policies, but just as a person he seems like a solid dude.
They’re trying really hard to make it look like it will be a negative interview with that headline. It was the most negative thing he said, and that negativity was directed at the world, not the man who wants to make the world better.
This is beautiful, real honest down to earth people desiring to run in politics to fix our country & our world & caring about people as well as all life on our planet.
Right now RFK jr is mostly appealing to independents and dissents from both registered Democrats and registered Republicans. Right now Biden has a smaller core voter base so more Democrats are going to be willing to switch to RFK. So getting Mike Rowe would pull the appeal he needs with Republicans. He is already popular with independents.

I'm a supporter of RFK Jr. In quick, random order, here's some of my reasons for supporting RFK Jr... -genuinely wants to heal the 'culture war' divide in our country, and he has the ability to, being liked by many different 'types' of people from across the spectrum of issues and ideas, who are tired of the 2-party duopoly -calm, humble, has integrity, has courage, truth seeker in general, thinks for himself (not a DNC/RNC puppet) -not phony -incorruptible, cannot be bought -thoughtful and introspective -deeply considers problems and possible solutions -vocal about the corruption of 'Citizens United' and the power of the big private money controlling government -vocal about putting an end to corporate capture over government (pharma, banks, oil, military industrial complex) -wants to get us out of 'forever wars' and to pull back on and expose the corruption within the military industrial complex -wants to pull back NATO and resolve the Ukraine problem via negotiations -vocal about the dishonesty and agendas of commercial media -wants to abolish all pharmaceutical advertisements on television (this has major influence on the 'news' narratives) -wants to keep the pharmaceutical industry honest with safety testing, transparency, etc -wants to get rid of government assist crony capitalism and subsidies for big ag, oil, etc -advocate for civil liberties -vocally against censorship (will free Snowden and Assange on 'day 1') -against mandates and police state-like policies -classical liberal sensibilities with respect of others (without the 'woke' or fake identity politics) -vocal commitment to transparency regarding FBI, CIA, NSA over-stepping and out-stepping -passionate about environmental and ecological concerns -passionate about cleaning our food supply and exposing the unhealthy ingredients in processed 'foods' -wants to bring preventative health more into public discourse; nutrition, exercise, etc -will immediately close the border (this is not some republican scare issue, it is a very major issue - for many reasons) -has an excellent plan to make homes affordable for all, including a program that backs mortgages at 3% and a tax structure to keep Black Rock from continuing to buy everyone out (this also will bring rent cost down dramatically) -due to his family/background, he's well-learned from the inside of the various power structures -due to his decades as an attorney successfully taking on major corporations, as well as government regulatory corruption, he is exceptionally well-suited for taking on the myriad of corporate capture over our government *I wrote the list above many months before Oct 7, 2023. I should add, especially directed towards my brothers and sisters of the populist 'left' and populist 'right', 'progressives', 'libertarians', and people who are just antiwar, in general... -RFK Jr. is in support of Israel (as am I). However, this in *no* way means he isn't also in support of helping the innocent people within Gaza. RFK Jr. has always been very aware of the conditions for the people within Gaza, and is especially aware of, and feels deep heartache for, the Hell they are living in now. As President, he is a person who would do all he could to help seek lasting peace and prosperity for all in the region -although RFK Jr. is a supporter of Israel, he is not a fan of Netanyahu, and has said repeatedly that he would *not* be writing him a blank check with American dollars to do with as he wishes -there is no one who would fight harder or more tirelessly to reach out to everyone involved, as well as to leaders outside of the region, to try to negotiate and implement a sustainable peaceful solution for both the Israelis and the Palestinians. RFK Jr. would bring many ideas and a commitment to approaching the problem there from several different angles, and involving several other players. In fact, he would have been doing this before Oct. 7. (Simply yelling 'apartheid', 'genocide', etc is *not* in service of an actual *solution* - ask Hamas) -and unlike anyone from the 2 major parties who support Israel, RFK Jr. would never be lead by the corrupt (and disgusting) sheer financial interests of the Military Industrial Complex when it comes to *any* of America's foreign policy; including with Israel
I’m so tired of people in these interviews being asked their opinion on a candidate only to say something along the lines of “it’s not my place to have an opinion” or “I don’t think my opinion needs to be shared” and the interviewers not pressing the issue. That’s exactly what you should be sharing so people can know you’re views on politics, issues, and the world.
He shouldn't have to have an opinion about something that he isn't informed on... the question wasn't even relevant to the topic of the interview it was just a way of bashing Aaron Rodgers in hopes to bash RFK Jr.

Mike's opinion, if you go back and watch, was that Kennedy was gracious, very smart, and direct. He listened more than he talked.
