What makes you think he was the only one in the room who got that message? The way I see it is that gods themselves gave up on trying to figure out wtf just happened, who started it and who deserved what for his/her past actions; and have decided to simply condemn everyone in 1 km radius.
@@billyyyyy__ Actually, that's pretty good optimization right there. They wanted to limit sound channels so when another one starts, the oldest stops. Keep in mind this was on the last generation of consoles.

For those wondering what happened: Anyone in the Blades faction is automatically scripted to attack anyone in the Mythic Dawn faction. Jauffree attacks the Mythic Dawn agent first, which is a crime in this game, so when he kills her the game flags it as a Murder. Because he is your Companion you also get a point of infamy for it (Hence the Gods warning), and the NPC's with high responsibility that witnessed the crime all attacked jauffree.
Actually, it's even stupider: it just so happens that the women from the Siren's Deception quest are in the inn, and they are scripted to fail the quest and give YOU a point of infamy if they die prematurely, even if it's not you who kills them. And since one of them has the stat of Aggression set to 30, she will get into a fight with someone if her disposition towards them is sufficiently low, hence Jauffre attacking her.
The person who commeted the crime was one of your followers since they are a follower game assumes you did it. Yes, I know it is one of the many broken and bugged issues in Oblivion.
I think I actually just figured out what happened. One of the women in the brawl was involved in a quest, and died, thus giving the notification for the failed quest. Sometimes you get infamy points from that. The Crusader's Relics require you to not have any infamy while you wear them, that's what the second warning was about. Now, if only I could recall whether you got infamy from failing the Siren's Deception quest or not...
Orc didn't start the brawl. It was his followers who she is attacking. They must have done something beforehand. My guess, since he was doing a mission and it required you to stay unnoticed, they were revealed. Or it is simply one of the millions of broken code in-game . :O

Isolda (the one who is undercover Mythic Dawn agent) has noticed Martin and Jauffre (they are with the player on this point because they must reach Cloud Ruler Temple). But it really seemed on this vid, that orc began the fight, so I prefer this version lol
This is just peak Oblivion chaos. Random fight breaking out, npc giving generic greeting in the middle of it, random quest pop up, the fight ending and another larger one starting, and then ending with everyone smiling. What a masterpiece
I love the progression of this whole thing: 1. 0:00 Man threatening woman’s life for unknown reasons. 2. 0:04 Half the people killing each other, the other half staring blankly, yet intently at you. 3. 0:24 You get threatened by the very gods for standing there doing absolutely nothing. 4. 0:35 They finally kill someone and sheath their weapons for a split second. 5. 0:37 Lag. 6. 0:39 They, this time all of them, start a giant, all out blood-fest, and the adoring fan is just frantically running around the whole place. 7. 0:54 Their sudden and mutual thirst for blood is satisfied, and, immediately, all of them sheath their swords and blankly, yet intently stare at you as if nothing had even happened. 8. 1:01 “Welcome to the Flowing Bowl.”

@@diacriticsrue260 The AI actually is really smart by video game standards. In earlier versions of Oblivion skooma dealers were found dead because addicts tracked them down and killed them for more skooma. They had to "dumb down" the AI in later versions of the game so that it wasn't game breaking.
Oblivion in one picture: you got random petty crimes punished BY DEATH, people staring lovingly right into your eyes while in the background others are dying, nonsense talk, summoning magical creatures in public places...

I love how once you get to the part of any quest you can get a follower you just never finish it and now you have an army of unkillable followers to fight your battles for you
