You are just the sweetest. I can tell how gracious and kind you are by the way you treat the staff. Thanks for taking us with you on your adventure!! 💕
This is the most detailed Seattle Enbarkation video that I have come across on RU-vid. We’re sailing next month in June 2023 and we know what to expect thanks to this video. We hope our embarkation day goes as smoothly as yours did ☺️Thank you!
I got teary-eyed when you both walked officially onto the princess ship and the staff clapped to welcome you. You are helping me understand the little details, yet important details of cruising. I still have a lot to learn, never cruised only many vacations on land. Have a great trip! Looking forward to your upcoming videos!😃
I started watching your videos as we prepared for our first Alaskan cruise on the Majestic. We just got back from our land and sea cruise and it was aweome. I always thought it be a one and done thing. But my husband and I are already thinking of when we'd go back. The land portion was tiring, but I loved learning so much about Alaska and I am glad we did it. I love cruising too. I think about the experience often. Thanks for all of the videos you post!
Ditto the teary eyed. You have answered so many questions so many times. Thank you for all tips and tricks not to mention the details you have helped everyone with! Hope you have a wonderful trip!
Thank you for sharing your first day on board Majestic Princess. I was excited just watching. We are in Australia and unfortunately our government has not allowed cruising to recommence. We are booked on Royal Princess in January 2022 but there is no guarantee that cruising will resume by then. Thank tou again for your video.
Your sail away day went so smoothly! You're right about the Medallion Mondays promoting how easy it would be to order anything...Thanks for letting us know reality differs from what was advertised. Thank you so much for sharing your day!
Allison, Thank you so much for taking us along on the cruise. The information you are posting is absolutely priceless. It looks like everything is very well organized at check in. You and Gordon must have gotten onboard at around 11am. One of our favorite things is to start the cruise off by having lunch in the MDR. Thank you for all you do.
Randy, You are very welcome. Thank you very much for watching our videos and following along. If you think of anything else you want me to find out while we are here, just let us know. Thank you again!
Thank you for making this video. My wife and I booked the Majestic Princess cruisetour in May 2022 for our 50 th. Wedding anniversary. We can’t wait. Thanks again for your great video.
Hi Steve, It was such a pleasure to meet you! That's fabulous you and Beverly were first to board that ship! Thank you very much for watching our videos!
Loved your video. Fun and informative. your excitement comes thru on the video. Reminded me of our last cruise on Sky Princess in Jan. 2020. Looking forward to Sapphire Princess on Nov 17th to Hawaii. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
Glad you enjoyed it! Can't believe it's been a year since we had our own restart to cruising. Enjoy your upcoming Sapphire Princess cruise. We will be on the Sapphire in Jan 2024 to Antarctica for a group cruise. Join us if you'd like!
Thank you very much for subscribing. I appreciate you more than you know. You are going to have a wonderful time! I wish you all the best. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for showing the embarkation part of your cruise. I am considering the same voyage in September on the same Cruise ship. I have to admit I am a little reluctant with the testing requirements and all. It looked very organized and not too much outside of normal. I will probably go now & book it, thanks to your video. Time to get back on the horse!
I really think you will have a wonderful time and be so glad you came. It really isn't hard to get the test and I think it is entirely worth the hassle. I am so glad we came.
Thank you very much! My green bag is by Vera Bradley and it is the Weekender style. I really like it because it fits under the airplane seat and holds A LOT. I also really like that it doesn't weigh anything without anything in it so you don't start off with a heavy bag. You can find them on their website and in some stores.
Thanks for sharing your boarding process, nice to see how Princess is handling it. Question, did you guys watch the Safety Video before you went to the Muster Station? It would be nice if you could watch it before boarding the ship.
We were not able to get to our room until about an hour after we boarded, so they let us check in at our Muster Station before we watched the safety video. We then watched it while we were busy in our stateroom. Worked out great! Thanks fo watching!!!
I really love your video, I am going with my daughter in September. This is my first cruise, I have no clue what to prepare and your video is a great help! Thanks!
Hi again Allison and Gordon! Can you hold up the "Pratter" so we can see whose is preforming and what they are doing for a day? I have no idea what activities they offer on board. Thanks again for sharing. 💖 ⛴
@Teena Marie I am sorry I somehow missed your request. We put up that video of all of the Princess Patters so I hope you were able to see what you wanted to see. If not, let me know. Thank you!
Your cabin is a Standard Balcony which may be why it seems smaller. It is the same size as Standard Balconies on many other Princess ships. We always get a Premium Deluxe Balcony that has a loveseat opposite the desk and is 284 sq. feet versus the your Standard Balcony of 222 square feet. Enjoy and thanks for the video!
I was on the upper deck right around the time you were filming this! My boarding time was a few hours earlier, so I explored the ship at headed to the pool. On July 25th, I should have been laying on deck 17 port side, under the screen next to the hot tub! You probably just missed me!!! It was an amazing week.
Great video. We are going on the Mexican Riviera Cruise on the Majestic Nov. 6-13th and are so excited. Are there hair dryers on the ship in the rooms?
Love the Majestic, hopefully she'll return to Australia 🇦🇺 soon. Looking forward to the world opening up so we can get back to cruising the globe. Nice video👍🛳❤️
We keep thinking of you all in Australia! We are so looking forward to when the world can open again without worry. Thank you very much for watching. We are very glad you are coming along with us.
Thanks for your info, I've done 5 WESPAC cruises, 2 to Hawaii while in the Navy and a year on the rivers in Nam. on RAG boats. Completed a cruise around Hawaii on the old American Cruise Line a month after 9/11 (Security everywhere) and about 25 cruises, Asia, Alaska, Mexico, South America, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Med. and Northern Europe. Most on Princess, Holland America and a couple on Carnival. I would guess easily over 800 days of cruises in the last 55 years.
Hi! Sorry I am so late replying. Wow! You are an amazing cruiser and thank you so so much for your brave courageous service for our country. We are so happy you found us and are honored to have you with us. Thank you very much for watching and subscribing. We are glad you are here with us. You are going to have lots of great helpful tips for us and everyone! Thank you again!
Very interesting to see what you’re going through. I’ll be leaving from San Francisco so it will be interesting. Thanks for the video. Do you know If your boarding time was enforced? I’ve heard from other people that they never checked on your time. How soon prior to your cruise were you able to select your boarding times? You sounded like a little kid in a candy shop. We’ll done. Enjoyed your enthusiasm. If you bring a power adapter you have an extra plug that you can use. Remember if you bring a power strip it can’t be surge protected.
No our boarding time wasn't enforced. At the airport, Princess just boarded everyone onto the shuttle buses according to who arrived first and so on and took us out to the port. We were early and it didn't matter at all. I'm thinking we selected our boarding group about a month before we sailed. Thank you very much for the heads up about the power adapter. We have a video my husband made about all the electronics gear we packed. I'll get that link added to the description box and quick as I can. Many thanks for watching and commenting!
How do you arrange for the water delivery? SO is a huge water drinker so it would be good to set that up. Thank you so much for this amazing vlog, very helpful for near future Princess cruisers!
I will take my first Cruise Majestic Princess Alaska July/22. Original date was July 2020, It has been posponer twice. So excited . Thanks for sharing .
I hope July 2022 works out. Whenever you get to go, I really think you will have a wonderful time. Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment.
Just booked Majestic for November 22 our whole season from Sydney was cancelled due to our State and Federal Govenments lack of a way forward for the cruise companies. The cruise companies have been talking this week so we are all hoping for our ships to return next year.
Hi Diana, That's great news you booked the Majestic Princess for November 2022. I think you are going to really enjoying sailing on her. I'm very hopeful cruising can restart for you in Australia next year. It has been such a long time for you all there. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! We are happy to have you here with us.
@Karen Linder Hi Karen, I would choose the Sapphire Princess every time unless you have to choose one of the Royal class ships to get an itinerary you particularly want. She has the Deck 7 Promenade that you can walk all the way around and there also deck chairs along that deck to enjoy sitting and watching the waves go by. The top decks have plenty of viewing areas too. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing!
Hi Angie, Thank you very much for your kind words. We actually didn't get room service on this cruise. I think we were just so busy seeing everything and enjoying being out on the ship. I will try to remember to get it next time so I can tell everyone how it goes. We have a great member of our cruise family here named Steve Lewis. He and his wife were on the same cruise we were, we even we lucky enough to meet him, and he mentioned in a comment on one of our videos that they ordered room service and really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching and being here with us!
I'm looking at an Alaska trip on the Majestic. I was wondering what deck you were on. That whole process of choosing a cabin is so confusing to me but I don't want the cruise line to choose for me. Is there a way to make this choice easier? Maybe you have a video on this already! Thanks for all the great Alaska tips! I've been compulsively watching them.
@Diane Gilmore Hi Diane, I will do a video about how to choose a cabin. We always choose mid forward as it is usually cheaper than midship but you still don't feel the movement much if there are rough seas. We did forward once and we were very forward and felt a lot of movement even when the seas weren't rough. We always choose a stateroom on a level that has cabins on the level above and below, which makes it quiet. On this cruise to Alaska on the Majestic Princess we were on Caribe in cabin C234. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.
Was there Chefs table being done and if it is do you sign up on the app or at a table? Are they doing ship tours? Can you just show up at the dinning room or do you have to have reservations on the app?
When I first asked about the Chef’s Table when we first boarded, Customer Service said they were not doing the chef‘s table. However, at the formal evening on Thursday night, a chef‘s table was going on in the allegro dining room which is where they do the chef‘s table on this ship. So if you really want to do it I suggest you ask when you board even if you have to go down to the Allegro dining room and ask. You cannot sign up for the chef‘s table on the app. I don’t know if you never will be able to or if it’s just not available yet. Also, you can just show up at the dining room without a reservation. If you want to be sure to eat at a certain time you can make a reservation and they will have a table ready for you then otherwise just go whenever you would like to eat.I asked about ship tours and they said they are not doing ship tours at this time. You can always ask when you get on board though in case they’re starting up with your cruise!
@@LetsGoTravelTips Thank you for your kindness of answering my questions and giving me some helpful tips. I appreciate it. Although I have signed up in the past for the Chef’s Table ( pre app) I have not been fortunate enough to be one of the people who have been picked. However I have hope that on a future cruise I will be one of the lucky ones that are picked. Thank you again
You mentioned purchasing the water package. Do you know if bottled water is included with the Princess Plus drink package? Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Across from Baggage Carousel # 14. Their information says #8 as well, but not at this time. We found that out by going to #8 and no one was there, so we went to #14.
Hi Allison, I am halfway through your trip playlist, lots of useful tips. I am going on my first cruise ever on Majestic next week. Question: what happened to your luggage? We will likely take an uber/lyft to the terminal. Is there a place to check our bags?
I think you are going to absolutely love your cruise! When you arrive at the terminal make sure you have the luggage tags from Princess already on your bags. You drop off your luggage before you go through the embarkation process. Let me know if you have any other questions! Thank you so much for watching our videos. We are happy to have you come along with us!
Can anyone tell me if the standard balcony cabins have shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap in a dispenser in the shower, or do they supply small bottles of the items mentioned? Thanks for any input.
The standard balcony has two bottles in the shower. One is labeled Shampoo & Conditioner and the other bottle is labeled Shower Gel. Thank you so much for watching!
@Irishinusa Thank you! When you get on the ship, look under Safety Essentials under the Ocean Ready section in the MedallionClass app and it will say your muster station. I don’t think there is a way to know your muster station before you board. It is also noted on the back of your stateroom door if you need! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
Hi there!!! Just wanna ask what shuttle service you used to get to the port in Seattle? We've stayed in that same exact Hampton Inn a few months before you. Is it pier 91 or 66? Thanks!
It says it on your app and it also says on the sign on the back your state room door. Also, I noticed that if you walk up to one of the muster station locations, they can scan your medallion and tell you which one you are assigned to.
We received ours on Monday, Aug 2nd and flew to Seattle on Saturday, Aug 14. So it was 12 days. I’d suggest you may want to call them if they don’t arrive this next Monday or Tuesday, but I bet they will. Thanks for watching!
I double checked and could not find any issues with the volume when I watched it from a couple of different devices. Have you been able to hear it yet? Thanks for watching and subscribing.
@Pat Harrington Thank you so much Pat! Thank you for pointing out Carnival Corporation owns the Princess Cruise Line. They also own Carnival Cruise Line and 7 other lines. We will have to give Carnival Cruises a try sometime. It is on our list! Thank you for watching! We are glad to have you here with us!
@@LetsGoTravelTips I don't have a passport. I did contact princess directly and asked them about it and they said that if you don't have a passport your birth certificate will work just fine
@@elizabethmartin4094 Yes, you can do that. They recommend a passport in case anything unexpected happens and you are having to stay in Canada for any reason.
@Cathie S Hi Cathy, Are you talking about the green card for Rome? I'm doing a video on that this week so watch for it. I'm doing all the research right now to make sure I cover everything.
@@LetsGoTravelTips no I was talking about the green card that allowed you to go in the green line while boarding the ship🤗I didn’t know we needed a green card to go to Italy😳
@Cathie Hi again Cathie, Sorry about that. The person who checked us in and checked our passports, proof of vaccination, and negative COVID test results handed us that green card at the end of the check-in process. They didn’t do it that way on our other cruises so don’t worry. 😊
