Amen. Just started playing War Thunder a week ago. I have liked every Swedish airplane until this thing.

A couple years ago when I still played, I would dominate in this thing and out turn and out dogfight everyone so idk what youre talking about. Easily the best place series that at least I’ve played The jet one was super fun especially

@@-Sober- I absolutely loved taking it out in air AB when I first started playing air battles, but it got up-BRed to oblivion, going from 3.7 to 5.7 real quick. I agree, I like it and it still holds its own in SB, but it just doesn't get the engine and flight performance that its current BR demands after its BR was raised

@@timbit4tim CCRP stands for "Constantly computed release point". The interface is a vertical line above the designated target with a circle and a line, you designate a target like with missiles in a helicopter and as you approach, the line approaches the circle until when they meet, you press space. Keep in mind that while you have a target designated, you can't drop a bomb until you're at the release point meaning you can hold down space and have it drop automatically over the target. Tims variety made a good video about it if you want a more in-depth explanation.

@@timbit4tim CCIP tells you where the bomb will land once you release it right now. CCRP on the other hand calculates when it is the best time to release your bomb in order to land on a market point. It will show you where to fly and 2 dots who are closing in on each other. During that time you can hold the bomb release. Once the 2 dots are merged the bomb will release and drop to that market point.

All 3 of them are planes that once were very good and now have long been powercrept by the meta.

@@l.bakker7563 Truth be told they weren't ever good. The A-1 was a heavily nerfed F4U-1a at 3.0 but with amazing guns when introduced. It had the worse climb rate for something that wasn't a bomber above 2.0BR with a below average turn rate for 3.0 (unless it was going 300mph+ then it became average) and above average level flight top speed with no ability to dive. Everything that was just average for 3.0 could deal with them without too much trouble. The only good qualities were that it handled nice above 300mph, it was fast enough to at least maintain distance on most opposing fighters in level flight and its guns could knock everything out of the sky if just one round connected.

@@rainsilent The J21 was good at 3.3 but now its bad. The Draken and Viggen have been powercrept to hell.

Nose mounted armament son!...allows you to ignore the wing guns, you still eating 20mm and 2 50 cals while the closer you get will increase the 2 50 to 4.

J7W1 does not perform for shit, except in Sim battles. While it plays roughly the same, the J21A is better suited for its br.

depends on your climbrate at low speeds, your retention at higher speeds and how fast you and your enemy are. you can test his energy state by flying straight for a sec or two while having him behind you

@@DEFYN Thank you, gonna re-watch that one then. Got a pretty nice experience with La-9 even stock, but that maybe because i met a lot authistic players in US planes.

Prior to the last patch that added a number of aircraft the only planes in the tree that were at least average were the J20, B18B and Pyro. The J35 and J37s were ok performance wise but left quite a bit to be desired in terms of guns (Gaijin silly business the problem here), missiles and countermeasures.

T18 isn't a bomber irl it is the strike version of b18.

No, it doesn't turn well, nor is it a good diver with a rip speed of 680 kph. The *only* good thing about the plane is guns, which automatically sends it into the trash can.

plus the sight is on the top of the cockpit which is nice

A-3 is slightly heavier and A-2 has a belt fed 20mm cannon (as does the A-3) while the A-1 has a magazine fed 20mm. Those are the only differences.

That's because the He-100D has the flight performance of a 4.0 Br aircraft, while being tiered at 2.0. The things that keep this aeroplane at 2.0 are its guns and its survivability. Long story short: It's very much undertiered if it's flown by someone that somewhat knows how to boom and zoom.

@@martijn9568 I felt that way, if it had cannons it would be straight out 4.0 for sure, but well aimed shots can still destroy enemy pretty easily.

@@patrik-4163 It should have a cannon of some sort. The historical He-100D-1 had a motor cannon (like the late 109s) and had a standard cooling system rather than vapor cooling system that you see in game. A bug report was created on it using Heinkel documentation and Gaijin said no because the Soviet documentation that they had said that what the Russians got presented were production versions which Heinkel's documentation showed they weren't.

Pyro or 109Gs are now an option. Also with the J26 it is at least fast enough to stay alive. I'd rather stay alive rather than being free xp for anyone with 2 working brain cells.

@@rainsilent sure the 109's are an option, if I could be bothered to grind that subtree. Saying a premium is an option, while technically not incorrect, also feels a bit silly tbh. Personally I prefer having guns that can kill people vs having guns that wont even get me the easiest kill in existence because they're so bad, even if I lose out on some performance. personal preference I suppose
