Regardless his license should’ve not been suspended 😳 and just because he said he was pulling in to his doctor does not mean he lied about his wife he’ll cops and courts make people nervous. I know they make me nervous talking in court soooo🤷🏽♂️
You are right. The judge explained that in a followup hearing. He had an ID, but had never had a license in any of the 50 states. There was no license to reinstate.

You never heard of a family having a family doctor? And if you watch the video it was a clerical error his license got reinstated in 2022 so he wasn't driving on a suspended license therefore he has no reason to lie.
@@Alex0992- If he was bringing his wife to the Dr instead then why didn't he immediately say this or show her on the video? He said all this after the fact. He didn't know his license had been reinstated two years earlier, otherwise he would have had a driver's license to show on this call.
That's 90% of the drivers on the roads in that case. Majority of people passed are either looking into a phone, have one on dash, or one in their hands.

Supposedly his license was suspended for 12 years , here's the catch, they did mess up about him being suspended still but the thing is, I don't think my man renewed his license because it was suspended for so long. That's trivial, no proof behind that. I do know he shouldn't of been on the phone while driving but othehrwise, this isn't a murder case I don't see the point of caring too extensively. Also hearing him saying they were supposed to reinstate it 2 years but didn't, if you went to the DMV they'll tell you are suspended if its on a court document afaik. Idk I don't think this guy is a demon but something's weird about this entire story from both sides.
Did you watch the video? His license isn’t suspended except through their state recordkeeping who failed to update the records and reinstate his license which he has record of but the state failed.

Ohhhhh, a pack of lies. Never had a license. Failed to deal with his suspension of driving priveleges in Michigan. Lied about being disabled and unable to get to the AG's office. Had a warrant outstanding for 9 years. Warrant was for driving on a suspended license. Failed to deal with that one too. Didn't tell his lawyer about the warrant. Placed under arrest for pickup on the warrant. This guy is just a pack of poorly thought out lies and failures to do what needed doing. Bet his church is WAY more embarassed by him now.
He has a warrant and was remanded for another county too. He was supposed to go to the secretary of state to handle it himself but failed to do so. It's on him, no one else
So he didn't check if the license was reinstated, got a citation for driving without a license as a consequence and still kept on driving instead of resolving the issue first. Then he even drove while he was on that zoom call. "Embarrassing" is really putting it mildly.

I'm from Michigan and I've dealt with this before. Went to the Secretary of State got my license reinstated, they assured me that everything is okay and I'm free to drive. I get pulled over and the police officer told me that my license is suspended. In Michigan they are very slow to update their records at the police stations and courthouses.
His suspended license expired no later than 2014. His suspended license could not be renewed. When the suspension was lifted, he did not apply for a new license. He is driving without a license.

Just watched his appearance before Judge Simpson and this man has NEVER HAD A LICENSE TO DRIVE. Add to that, he had a warrant for his arrest for driving while suspended from NINE years ago.

@@Jeff77398 The state of Michigan passed a law prohibiting license suspension for non-driver safety issues. No one should lose their license for unpaid child support. And there is no mention of he made that child support up. The law also retroactively rescinded license suspension for unpaid child support or unpaid parking fines, etc. I bet he has a license in a week or two.

You're still not supposed to drive during a Zoom hearing. I had one with the Unemployment Board over a claim.I sat in my car for the call because people are too damn noisy in my house. They told me upfront if they saw me driving or moving that it was a violation and won't be tolerated. This guy is not doing himself any favors.

It's crazy, right? Someone gets behind on child support, so the government makes it harder for them to get to work by taking away driving privileges. Makes a lot of sense.
He never had a license to begin with. The privilege to drive was suspended due to unpaid child support but since he didn’t have a license at the time it couldn’t have been suspended. Regardless of the suspension being lifted he has NEVER had a valid DL. The latest hearing is also on RU-vid where this was addressed.
so why was he in the court on the charges if he was SURE it was reinstated? Why didn't he query BEFORE entering court? Where was his wife in the car? I dont trust his story!
They did the same to me reinstated my license that had never been suspended they did it 2 years after so I rode the bus for months thinking it was suspended

He was there to fight the charge. He made it immensely difficult to prove that he wasn't driving on a suspended license when he joined a zoom call while driving in a suspended license. When he signed the ticket, that was a type of bond under which they released him on his own recognizance. That's the bond that the judge revoked. It's interesting that he took his phantom wife to HIS doctor's office for her "medical emergency". That he made up that story says that he knew his license was suspended, whether or not that suspension was legally sound.

At that point they look if he qualifies for renewal (medical or other legal reason) and whether he has any other outstanding issues. Case in point, if he had his license suspended in two different child support cases, under your way he gets his license back if he pays one off.

The news investigated that the man had made his child support payments and the COURTS LIFTED the suspension years ago. But someone didn't do their job and change it in the system. He really should have followed up a long time ago especially knowing he wanted to continue to drive. Also his lawyer should have looked into that as well to see why it was still suspended

@@rebelpoker1 Actually, there is such a think called " Document Pickup " . Regardless, his license was suspended in 2010 and he was given the ability to reapply in 2022. Given licenses are generally valid for 4 years, he never applied for or possessed .a physical card. And, if he had an actual physical card during the prior stop, the court proceeding in the vid would have never occurred.

Given that he called this supposed clerk in 2022 and they told him his license was reinstated then it might not even be expired yet. Afterall he wasn't charged for an expired license.

If someone without insurance hit you, your insurance pays and your insurance goes up. But this man was supposed to have his license back, it was given back to him by a judge, the government screwed up. But he probably had insurance.

He was appearing in court that day because he was caught driving without a license, at the time of the call with the judge he already knew there was problems with his license again and he decided to drive knowingly his license was suspended again. Are you dumb? Why yall keep defending this idiot?
Here’s what I’m not understanding. Corey stated that he believed the suspension of his driver’s license had been rescinded 2 years ago (so sometime in 2022 and he’s right). But if that’s your assumption why then, when you were cited in October of 2023 for driving with a suspended license, did that not raise multiple red flags right then that something was wrong. Another “something is off” is his story about his wife. According to this news report, this wasn’t an abrupt medical emergency for your wife, but an appointment the doctor asked for. So you scheduled your wife’s appointment at the same time you knew you’d have a virtual court appearance. After attempting to rehabilitate your image, you STILL appear stupid.
Car insurance most not be in his name. They would have sent him a letter informing him of the suspended license and he could have gotten it sorted out then.
I don't know why these men won't pay their child support, however, Mr. Harris is correct in saying you have to follow up with these government workers! I had a Failure To Appear letter show up once for a traffic infraction I had paid years before. Luckily, I still had the receipt because without it, I would have been forced to pay the fine and bail money!
So, it turns out his license was not suspended. It was suspended in 2010, but he got it fixed in 2022, but they never bothered correcting it. So he spent two days in jail because of an error
He should always check and make sure he pays child support. "They" will say one thing and then they don't. He put himself in this situation. You cannot put a time limit on your consequences...that God's doing.

Suspended 2010 for child support, ok I get that. He took care of that he claims and the suspension was lifted he claims. So why since 2010, did he not even get curious as to why he didn't get license renewal notices from SOS every four (4) years since 2010 until the traffic stop & ticket date? Any of use that drive know, our driver's license renews every four (4) years. I have heard of some renewing every eight (8), but that would still make someone curious why they didn't get a notice from SOS. Then they would have to contact SOS to ask why? Then all of this could and would have been avoided. Him blaming this on Friend of the Court and whomever to me is BS. First of all, pay your child support, this wouldn't happen. Secondly, If the SOS doesn't send renewal notices, ask why before you find yourself in front of a judge. Was all this worth it? I don't think so, not when it could have been avoided with some simple adult responsibility. When he got the ticket, why didn't he start fixing it then? No Mr. Harris, you made this bed for yourself.

I do not know as fact, so I do not state as such. That is all. It still remains, this all happened in 2010, in 2014 when he did not get a license renewal notice, why did he not ask the SOS why? Or in 2018? He had ample chance to discover the suspension was still in effect and take step and actions to correct it before he had to endure all of this. Still a bed he mad for himself by not attending to adult responsibilities and being sure things were done and taken care of.
Also can't get insurance without a valid license. He clearly knew he was suspended and was also uninsured. They cut out the part where he said "I wasn't thinking about the fact that I got a suspended license. I don't care about all that."
