I can’t believe I’m saying this but I finally PASSED after a couple fails (due to anxiety and stress). I watched this video the day before and an hour before my test and it really helped as I had a problem with this. To all the people about to take their test stay calm and drive how you normally would. You got this 😊👍

I’m a new viewer & saw this video a couple hours before my test... it helped so much! Your voice was so calming, felt like I was getting advice from a friend! Excellent tips and tricks which I remembered just before & during my test and.... I PASSED FIRST TIME, NO MINORS!! Thank you ever so much!! The way you carefully explained and went in depth with the advice you provided allowed me to connect with you and be at ease. As if talking to my father brother or uncle. I watched many RU-vid videos on the same topic but yours was be far the best and most helpful. A bit of advice of my own for other learners or people taking their tests: RELAX. The test is a LOT more calm than you may think. Imagine you’re driving your friends’ parents to a location.. you’d have to drive better with them when compared to your friend, right? That thought helped me. Also, take your time. Rushing or moving off as soon as the examiner says “okay move off when you’re ready” will create mistakes such as not checking your blind spot. It’s not about how *QUICK* you do something... it’s how you carry out the task. Take 2 mins to pull out after asked to pull over? That’s FINE. You’re more likely to cut off another driver or slip the steering wheel if you rush when following an instruction. Just take your time and carry out a “count” when doing something. Step 1, step 2, step 3 and so on... Also, talk to your examiner when going to your car or in slow moving traffic. Remember that good relationship you (should) have with your instructor? You can do that with the examiner.. a simple “how’s your day going” or “how many people do you normally see during a day?” (Small talk) can go a long way. It puts YOU at ease as it makes you realise (if you think the examiners are all snooty or scary for example) that they’re just a normal person. It really does calm you down. Best of luck to anyone taking their test. TRUST ME, it’s easier than you think.

I passed today after failing the first time- My biggest issues was nerves on the first test and watching this just before heading to the test centre was great to calm the nerves and stay focused. Would recommend to anyone to watch just before their test.

Passed my test today mate, admittedly it was before this video but your videos and your knowledge really played a factor and was seriously helpful. I was in the left lane and asked to go right and was going to go right anyway as i was unsure but i just went left safely and didn't pick a single minor when i was Inches from getting a dangerous. Words of advice to anyone, if you're in doubt wimp out, just go the wrong way safely and you won't score negatively. Also it really isn't that difficult, just remember you're experienced and you're there for a reason & your ability will carry over and assist.

Passed today with one minor!! Watched this video before my test and it really helped calm my nerves, went the wrong way at a roundabout (he asked me to go right but I got in left lane and went left) but did it safely, thanks so much!

Thank you for the videos! very helpful for learners. I just passed my test with 9 minors, I thought I really failed, so I said to myself that I will accept that I failed today and I'm just gonna continue driving, that way it made me calm. I knew I made mistakes and I even stalled leaving it on third gear. Throughout the drive I did not go back thinking of the mistakes I've done like you said and it worked. I was really surprised when I got told that I passed because I was expecting a fail. Best feeling ever and the stall was not even listed as a minor. My tip is just continue to drive and don't think of the mistakes. They allowed 15 minors for a reason and that is because we are learners, even professional experienced drivers make mistakes. The best tip is to be very calm and pretend you know what your doing and are in complete CONTROL. Have a cool calm and responsible vibe. The examiner picks up on this and they get really critical If your overly nervous because they start to feel vulnerable with their own safety which is a natural response. Your the driver so be calm and in control. Last year I passed doing the cool vibe technique and it fricken worked! I failed my first test because I was shaking and I was thinking I failed and what’s the point? The examiner emergency stopped me whilst I was breaking!!!! Still think she was over exaggerating. The emerging vehicle was a football pitch away and I was only doing 30!
