And you can make that happen right here on Smash Bros. Just set the one winged angle squad to the highest level with no smash ball or items to get in the way and make it a team battle. Let the nightmare fuel burn. 😂
@@silverdragoon27 your statement is contradictory how come he shittin on geno when he is not even in the game lol, the ts even saying about how sakurai will do justice to every char that he put in in the game, talk like that when geno really in the game
I hear Dr. Eggman's name getting thrown in. I see Sakurai is adding more villains this time round. Ridley, K. Rool, Dark Samus, Piranha Plant, Wolf and now Sephiroth.
Sephiroth still blows my mind, he looks amazing, has amazing music with his addition and is insanely fun. Plus on top of that Sakurai really knew Sephiroth's status in pop culture and he did it, he made him a special boss!!! Smash Ultimate is definitely one of the best games ever made!!!
Maybe it’s because he made sure they did such an amazing job that I still can’t believe Sephiroth is actually in Smash Bros. Seriously. Still in that disbelief phase.
Between Max acting surprised when he unlocked Sephiroth on easy, several tweets and YT comments saying they thought the ability to unlock Sephiroth early had been cancelled, and multiple reaction videos either also thinking the whole idea had been dropped or missing the fact that you could unlock him entirely, I'm starting to wonder how many people had actually paid attention to that stream.
i missed the part where he said that they scrapped the part where it was one chance any difficulty. i initially thought it was one chance on very hard. kinda wish i unlocked him on very hard and not normal but oh well.
Cloud: "Why is there One-winged angels overlapping One-winged angels in the background" 7 Sephiroth's show-up and one comes naked 7 Sephiroth's: Hello Cloud ready to feel despair Cloud "ahhh shit"
@@FlameJackstar ngl anyone including me will tear up hearing this nostalgic theme. its like a callback when cloud and tifa found out the crew dint left them at the highwind
The FFVII main theme arranged by Motoi Sakuraba, the guy behind the tales of series, golden sun and dark souls,....... is just godlike. It's a match made in heaven.
@@mythicaldragon2686 Sephiroth is a super boss in them. He's not as bad in KH2, but he could oneshot and easily kill you in KH1 if you weren't properly leveled or skilled.
Ultimate Sephiroth more damage, super armor, multiple phases/stocks and other improved stats. And finally a time limit to kill him before meteor falls.
Sounds awesome. IMO I thought it would’ve been awesome if this mode gave Sephiroth a health bar like the game’s main bosses. Also if very hard had shirtless Seph and at around 25% hp gave him a final smash, just to add that “oh sh-“ intense/final boss feeling. Still a great mode that I wish would sit around in the vault or something because it’s so beautiful to look at and fun to mess around on.
The new musical arrangements are fantastic. I love that Smash is contributing to so many games' musical legacies by adding new versions of classic songs.
@@orion_shorts I mean lets look at all the other 3rd party characters in the DLC so far from big franchises. Joker brought stuff from P3 and P4 as well as P5 Hero had music from 4 DQ, some costumes not tied to a single game, and every hero not playable is in the FS Terry had 50 songs from across SNK's different games not just from Fatal Fury Steve while more minor still had music from the spin-offs so it wasn't just base Minecraft represented and then Final Fantasy gets nothing from anything other than 7, besides the Chocobo hat which isn't tied to a specific game. And I assume the Sephiroth spirit board will only have FF7 characters on it as well. They even finally implement a boss rush but have it locked to Sephiroth only.
@@GameGodZERO It's not Smash's fault: Square is VERY stingy with their IPs. Cloud almost didn't return for Ultimate and it was likely a pain getting Sephiroth and the other songs, much less songs from other FFs and remixing THOSE too. It's just far too much to ask for. Ungrateful FF fans I swear. Getting angry when a poster game is treated like a poster game.
@@hadouradiance3566 I'm just tired of FF7 being the only game ever recognized for anything. Being a fan of literally any other FF game is suffering Especially with how basically no iconic aspects of the franchise are represented in Smash in any form unlike basically every other 3rd party in the roster.
The man is a Beacon for Nintendo. Who does not work for Nintendo.. Wait a minute.. Igarashi left Konami and we got Bloodstained... Its like the cool people leave the bog companies and get to make the really cool games we wanted to see. Like Gunvolt and all those 8 bit games as well. Before you ask, I never played Mighty Number nine so I can't really comment on it.
Not gonna lie, I didn't know what giftsubs actually were till earlier today (I don't really use twitch that often) so I always thought they were a bad thing
Depends how many people are there though. His 250 gift subs after Sakurai showing off Sephiroth had over 30k viewers. I'm sure he had a bunch of subs in there, but man is it easy to dodge 'em.
@@MasutaMJ honestly i'd say it isn't even about what nintendo could afford. They could easily manage to put sora in just that they'd have to get permission from disney of all things.
@@jordanwalker3617 imagine that Disney copyright in the Smash credits. It might be disingenuous but if Goody and Donald can't cameo it won't be a total loss.
@@jordanwalker3617 if they put in sora, it would feel unfinished in a way since there's no way donald and goofy is also coming with him. since there's an established rule about characters originating in a game or something.
@@Segvent well IT was stated that the challenge was available if you bought fighter pass 2 OR sephiroth only So that may explain why he gets to play it
@Nemesis King Negro Oh, I'm sorry. I just thought that since Max was knows a lot about competitive fighting games and stuff like that that I thought he was right.
@@Phantomistress363 whether or not he "mained" him or if there is evidence is not really important since Max was referring to the Terry direct where Sakurai said he loved Iori's design and thought his creator was a genius. I haven't watched that video since it came out a year ago to confirm if he said that Iori was his "main", but you can't blame Max for making that assumption.
Sakurai in Terry's presentation said that when he first saw Iori, he though that whoever disigned hiw was a Genius, so Sakurai really liked Iori's design.
Yeah and you can tell how much Max loves it too. Not one of those people who says they love it and you can tell they dont mean it. With Max it's obvious from how much he loves to talk about ff7 that he's one of the real ones who truly loves it
@@darknesswave100 How can YOU tell they don't mean it? Don't be so sure about Max because you don't know him either. He didn't even play FF7 when it came out, he thought RPG's were "for nerds" at the time and eventually played it after it was already hailed by many as THE best game ever made. He says its his favorite game, but mentions nothing about any of the other FF's in the series (bar FF11). That is VERY peculiar and HIGHLY unusual... Especially when it's supposed to be his "all time favorite" game. I vaguely remember him stating he didn't start gaming really until the PS2 era. He's two years older than me, but I grew up playing all the games from the "golden era"... (these were all the RPG's on SNES and PS1 when RPG's were the biggest genre). You mean to tell me he missed all that? I've also noticed he misses details and tidbits even about FF7 that a die hard fan would know off top. Max doesn't even discuss the lore of FF7 at all... Just the surface level stuff. Don't be so quick to say others "don't mean it when they say they love it".... because you don't know them either. Max sheds a few tears in a viral FF7R reveal reaction video and all of the sudden he's the guru? Shit doesn't add up to be honest. Good guy, but I think he's a bit opportunistic when it comes to this FF7 thing. After all, people automatically think "Max" when FF7 comes up on social media now... Pretty shocking considering "RPG's are for nerds". And that statement is pretty consistent with him considering he has a gaming channel, but doesn't play any JRPG's.
@@AnotherCamilo Also if Doomslayer gets in, his trailer needs to have At Doom's Gate (Remix) play as well as a shot of him and Isabelle at Tortimer Island.
Stamina, Spirits, Master balls, and assist trophies with Final Smash meter. Taking down a 750% Sephiroth with demon-style Akuma alongside 2 other teammates in a 3v1 battle is still too tough for me, lol.
Literally, my favorite part of watching Max's Content is seeing him just overjoyed at things. Helps me feel almost just as happy as him just seeing his reaction.
@@jsmaster4779 Same here but still could've been cool to get more but that's selfish of me and honestly, the fact that we got more and were told why music to include was a problem at times satisfies me and that's what matters. :)
Seeing Max get teased with FFVII remake for years and then getting this much FFVII content dumped on him in such a short timespan really makes me smile, his hype is so wholesome :D
I think Sakurai turned Super Smash Bros. Ultimate into an ode to gaming as a whole, every character gets so much love put into it, it's crazy. I truly appreciate how far this series has come to, and I'm already dying in anticipation to know what will become of it in the next iterations.
This was a treat to watch you play this on Twitch the other day Maximilian dood. Seeing just how ecstatic you were by the music and the stage and the character itself made my day for sure. Sephiroth was one of my wishes back in Brawl and Smash 4. Glad we got him in Smash now!
Anime has those characters that are "Edgelord to the point of comedy but I'm sure in Japan there are people that find them unironically cool?" Sakurai is one of those people that finds them unironically cool. You always get that vibe from his work. Metaknight was how he got his inner edgelord into Kirby.
Me: I wonder how much Max is gonna struggle on Very Hard. Took me so many tries and I ended up having to cheese it so what's he gonna- Max: (beats it on his second try) Man, that was too easy. Me: O_O
I tried zoning him with Zelda and he started sprinting back and forth at range and rushed in when I committed. I'm shocked he went down so easy on a 2nd try
@@MH4wheel I just knocked him off the stage and then jumped after him to try and gimp his recovery. He instead hit me with Octoslash but failed to get back to the stage and, thankfully, fell before he did.
@@videogameprof ikr?! I felt like I was going against a lvl 50 amiibo, no matter what I used. If I want in close he'd always time that counter, if I played ranged he'd Shadowflare between dodges and then Octaslash me so I couldn't reflect them away.
Seeing Max smiling and laughing when listening the new arrangements makes me feel better; I thought I was weird for enjoying orchestral soundtracks like that :)
Okay, someone explain to me how it took Mew2king like ten tries to beat Sephiroth Challenge on Very Hard, but it took only two tries for Max? Tf is up with that lol
@LegendaryKenchi idk man, he was playing as Cloud too though Who cares what his main is, the point is, Max isn't even a competitive Smash player, but he picks Cloud and wins in two tries. M2k takes like ten tries w/ the same character. Unless you're saying Max's Cloud could beat M2k's Cloud (which would be kinda ridiculous on its own), I don't see why M2k's main would even matter at this point.
@LegendaryKenchi ???I never said that??? And why tf would I say M2k needs to get good lmao, he's a Smash champion I wouldn't even bring him up if he wasn't
@@genm4827 If I had to guess, same reason lots of pros get hopped by cpu in arcades. Humans make mistakes, the computer you have to manipulate. If your experience is mostly humans you'd not pick up how to work the cpu.
@@ReikuYin Yeah, I was thinking across those lines a bit. M2k says that Very Hard Sephiroth was harder than the people he plays against online and that Very Hard Sephiroth has like, one frame reaction times or whatever, but maybe the logic in fighting against humans is drastically different from fighting CPUs, like you say. It's a weird thing to think about lol
This is what I wanted since I was a child. All my childhood dreams are coming true. First FF7 Remake, and now Sephiroth In smash. I’m 12 all over again.
Super late, but the way I would have done it would have been like this: 1. Beat Easy -- Unlock the music (for use in Cloud's stage) 2. Beat Normal -- Unlock the stage + the music 3. Beat Very Hard -- Unlock everything
