Which is kinda dumb when you think about it, Itachi was going to die anyway so, Why give him a sickness in the first place? So Sasuke can kill him? Itachi could've just fake that Sasuke was stronger and he would've belive it.
It's the fact that Itachi is so not just powerful, but he thinks highly. So you gotta checkmate him. So you don't necessarily need power with Itachi but rather a master plan. Be ahead of him always... And to me, that's the scariest thing about Itachi.
@@laskurtanceixixii He was an Anbu captain at 12. Have you read the manga and the light novels? Itachi is known to be a genius like Kakashi but I'd wage he's second to Shikimaru.
Well he is like one of the only people who died from an illness (was in combat but would’ve died anyway I mean wtf did sasuke contribute anyway.) and that’s obviously really rare
Dont forget itachi did not want to become the strongest, he didnt seek out a way to become the strongest. He only acquire enough power for his plans. While other characters get boosted by other creatures or hashirama's nuts.
Itachi’s entire worldview was about him becoming strong enough to do things on his own. Which is why after his death he tells Naruto to never seek to bare anything alone. Even from a young age Itachi wanted to become Hokage in order to completely stop the conflict he grew up surrounded by.
@@remington_acr1651 name one thing except shisui's eye that he himself gave it to itachi , name one thing itachi relied on that wasnt his own ? If u do i will say u are right . He never seeked power he just was powerful
11:59 small correction, Kakashi making eye contact with Itachi wasn't an accident, he incorrectly assumed that his Sharingan would make him resistant/immune to genjutsu (which is probably true in the case of average genjutsu, but he underestimated Tsukuyomi's power).
Jokes aside, I think people underestimate how sick Itachi actually was. This guy was literally hours away from dropping dead from a fatal sickness. This combined with being almost entirely blind and he still had to hold back against someone who beat Deidara while holding back Man's a monster
He didn't even talk about how Tsukuyomi is practically unbreakable. The genjutsu only lasts for 0.0003 seconds so even perfect jinchurikiis like Naruto with Kurama couldn't break out of it.
Cap we never so him use it on any jinchuriki and if that was true why did he us it on the 3 tails or kcm Naruto? Plus we saw Sasuke block the infinite so it most definitely can be broken
@@clouty_tv9985 it couldn't be broken because there's literally no chance to break it. Again, it happens in a picosecond. The moment Kurama realizes Naruto was in a genjutsu, he's already out of it and is suffering injuries. Also, Sasuke didn't "break" infinite tsukuyomi, he blocked it with his susanoo.
@@imhappy._. Well we don't know if it's "absolutely unbreakable" as so many absolute moves in Naruto have been shown to have limits when overwhelming power or cunningness is involved. Just like the truth seeking orbs that are weak to Senjutsu, or limbo that can be seen by Sasuke with Rinnegan, or Amaterasu that burns anything. Time and time again, overwhelming power negates any special conditions your jutsu might have.
A great example of this is when sasuke put bee under genjutsu it actually worked for like 3 seconds and then 8tails snaps it. The issue here is that your not getting anywhere near 3 seconds to beat this one.
Itachi himself said the pain that you are feeling is real. The reality of Tsukuyomi is the truth for the user and the victim, until they break out, and the damage is reflected in reality.
The Genjutsu he applied to his girlfriend quickly gave me a new perspective on life in general, how many things we all have to be grateful for. Itachi, a true gentlemen he was.

I always wanted to see itachi use tsukuyomi on a team mate mid battle, imagine giving your teammate 3 peaceful days of planning. Imagine if minato figured out the rasengan in an instant. Basically he can put peoples brains into hyper drive but never does
that would be idiotic. tsukyomi takes itachi out of the fight after using it for a couple of seconds until his vision recovers and pain fades away. plus it puts it on cooldown. no benefit.
@@卛 A couple seconds isn't bad, especially if you have a teammate or idk the perfect defense. I don't think Itachi cares about the pain since Saskue describes susanoo as something along the line of every cell in his body being on fire, and still uses it whenever he wants to. And Itachi can fight blind, his vision doesn't need to recover. His entire fight with Saskue was a blur. Everyone who fights an Uchiha stares at there feet the entire battle, that is a similar visual debuff. (we see sage kabuto and sage madara fight without eyes, yes they are sage and hax but still). And does it actually take him out of the fight? he started the clan massacre using it on Izumi for 80 years (yes he was younger but still maybe he could have used it in a flashback or something). Whenever we see him use it he makes the excuse to Kisame that they have to leave the battle now because he is drained, but is he really? or was he a double agent using that as a disguise not to stomp Kakashi/Guy/Kurenai or Jiriya/Naruto/Saskue. I think the main reason Tsukuyomi hasn't been used in that way was Itachi was a genius and never needed to.
From base he’s right. Without the 10 tails without hasirama cells what can madara do to itachi? Seriously there susanos he gets sealed there genjutsu madara doesn’t have a dojutsu genjutsue so what does he do? Steal 9 tails again? yes, Madara is a joke, he needs Hashirama cells to even be decent, sure he was powerful for his time, but Itachi stomps him easily, especially if you take into consideration Itachi's Susanoo, which has the Totsuka Blade that seals anything it hits if the user wills it, and the Yata Mirror, which defends and reflects all attacks back at the attacker. its basically the Uchiha War Fan on Steroids while its using Hyuga style Rotation

yeah he just wanted to pull up to the leaf to show danzo to stay away from sasuke and almost killing one of the leaf’s most important ninja’s is kinda a threat towards Danzo
I actually always thought Tsukuyomi was the strongest, that's why the entire eye of the moon plan was to create Infinite Tsukuyomi, and not Infinite Kotoamatsukame
Or maybe the context of the jutsu explains why it’s that way. Koto changes reality while tsukuyomi creates a false reality that can be controlled. That’s what infinite tsukuyomi was doing so that’s why it’s called that and not koto
@@TheDeadGunslinger I guess I worded that poorly, I meant reality as in the real world. It completely mind controls someone in the REAL world whereas tsukuyomi in simple terms puts someone into a false world controlled by someone or something else. THATS why the Infinite tsukuyomi is called what it’s called and not called infinite Koto. Infinite tsukuyomi functions like regular tsukuyomi but on a far deeper level. If it was Infinite Koto it’d prolly be something like complete mind control over everyone in the real world forcing peace, as everyone thinks they are doing things by free will but are actually being controlled into peace. That’s definitely not what infinite tsukuyomi does so it makes sense it isn’t named after Koto
@@QGUU an infinite koto makes alot more sense if to use if you actually want people interact peacefully Infinite Tsukuyomi just puts people to sleep when or if they wake up they gonna do the same shish
His Amaterasu is also very underrated. He guides it by looking at things, and good luck trying to not get looked at by a guy with Sharingan. I think its representation on-screen also was severely hampered by the kinds of fights he had, same as Tsukuyomi (one he intentionally had to throw while already blind, other with severe restrictions on killing/incapacitating opponent).
the reason it’s underrated is because kishimoto found plenty of ways to counter amaterasu even if it didn’t make sense. i still don’t get how gaara’s was faster than sight. lol if you think about it, amaterasu, despite being incredibly strong, never really burned anything aside from the crow with shisui’s eye
Sasuke is who I love. Itachi to me is like a lot of people, his story isn't known by everyone, so almost everyone would rather kill him. But he does the right thing when maybe he shouldn't be held to do that. He's a dark knight.
23:29 this makes me want a video about how strong Hiruzen was in his prime. Obviously he wouldn't be an Otsutski level threat. But considering he had the power as an old man to push Kurama out of the village and he kept relative pace with Tobirama and Hashirama, it makes me really wonder if he deserves more respect. Especially a prime Hiruzen.
I’ve always thought an extremely op way for Itachi to use Tsukuyomi would be to use it how Naruto used shadow clones to train, so to minimize the amount of time it would take to learn a jutsu to just a few seconds. But idk i don’t have the knowledge nick has lol
not sure I understand what you are saying but despite a lot of people knowing about shadow clone jutsu the best at it always has been naruto, he can make more of them and use them more efficiently then anybody else in the series which is funny because his chakra control is not as good as other characters, he just basically made his entire fighting style with them and even clone training is so dumb only naruto could have thought of this in universe lol
@@jeanbob1481 actually, using shadow clones to train was thought of by Kakashi. Only Naruto can do it because he has ungodly amounts of chakra. And his chakra control is only bad before Jiraiya trains him to control it better, in Shippudden his chakra control is actually pretty good. He's able to break himself out of genjutsu and learn sage mode, both of which require good chakra control
I don't think that would work because Itachi controls what happens. He wouldn't actually learn anything because he decides what happens versus trying something and adjusting it until you get the outcome you want.
I like this. In addition, with Itachi being so very gentle, the idea of a "Gentle Killer" jutsu that's completely bloodless also fits with his archetype. Even further, his father is Wicked Eye Fugaku. Why? Because while we don't know necessarily exactly what his eyes do I think that his eyes are literally able to convince someone that they're either dead or dismemberd. If you believe that your leg is gone, then you're not going to use your leg, explaining how his visual prowess was capable of handling entire armies of ninja. But you know who could survive Wicked Eye Fugaku? The Samurai. Make a video to prove me wrong.
I always just figured Tsukuyomi killed Izumi because her brain was forced to process her entire lifespan within the span of a picosecond, which really would overload the brain
I've been saying this for years that if Itachi can get you in Tsukuyomi he won the fight no matter who it is. Obito was literally afraid of Itachi because he knew what he could do. He was afraid Itachi would kill him if he tried to approach Sasuke.
I said this in a video before! Lol. People kept saying that people like Minato could have their Bijuu break them out of Tsukyomi so it was useless, but they'd have far less than a second to realize it was even cast on the Jinchuriki before the person is dead.
We're told in Boruto that the Sharingan is much more powerful when driven by love instead of hate. Because Itachi loved Izumi so much, he was able to take her life with Tsukiyomi. I'm 100% an Itachi fangirl.
Comparing Tsukuyomi to Kotoamatsukami has always been kinda odd to me. They’re both Genjutsu, but they’re used for completely different things. It’s like comparing the Rasengan to Super Lightweight Bolder Jutsu. They’re ninjutsu that are both really good at completely different things. Edit: For combat purposes, Tsukuyomi is absolutely the strongest Genjutsu. But Kotoamatsukami isn’t a tool meant for combat.
That makes 0 sense. How exactly is tsukyomi vs kotoamatsukami the same as rasengan vs super lightweight boulder 😂 both are genjutsu and both are essentially used for combat. Now if you're gonna say that kotoamatsukami is used for brainwashing then that's a pretty silly argument cause even a regular genjutsu can be used for brainwashing and just like a regular genjutsu, if a person is under kotoamatsukami then it's Fully detectable, the only good thing about koto is that one of its versions doesn't require eye contact to activate making it useful in battle against people who know how the uchiha work. Both tsukyomi and koto are combat oriented genjutsu which is why they're compared
@@joshuaperry2426… no. Kotoamatsukami is not combat oriented. It can be used for combat of course, most jutsu can be. But the purpose of Kotoamatsukami isn’t really combat. We’re told and shown multiple times. Kotoamatsukami is a jutsu for making people do whatever you want. It’s the highest form of manipulation. It’s brainwashing, yeah, but so thorough that you believe whatever is put in your head is yours. The strength of Kotoamatsukami is manipulating people in a position to do what you want. We see how powerful Kotoamatsukami (or jutsu like it) are with Yagura.
@@nicodemusedwards6931 as you mentioned earlier, the point about yagura completely proves my case, obito used a REGULAR genjutsu to brainwash and manipulate yagura for YEARS, Itachi achieved even greater manipulation when he used tsukyomi on kabuto to release Edo tensei. We've seen several instances where manipulation isn't exclusive to kotoamatsukami, all genjutsu are capable of brainwashing and manipulation, you could argue that kotoamatsukami's manipulation is better but that's up for debate. Anyway, my point is the main benefit of koto(or at least one of its versions) is that it doesn't require eye contact and can be used without ever confronting the target but this has a greater use in combat rather than manipulation/non combat use. Obito was able to make eye contact with a mizukage, put him under genjutsu and get away with it, manipulation via genjutsu can easily be done by characters with a sharingan, you don't really need koto cause it has a cooldown and it can be detected and dispelled like a normal genjutsu Koto becomes really useful in combat, imagine if you could control your opponent without any conditions, that's essentially what koto is, even other powerful genjutsu like tsukyomi require a start-up condition (eye contact) but koto has none, that's why it's so powerful in COMBAT, any opponent who faces shisui alone will probably lose if he just used koto, it's basically a one hit KO like tsukyomi except it doesn't require eye contact or anything If it's used for other purposes it works pretty similarly to a regular genjutsu and can easily fail as we saw with danzo
@@joshuaperry2426 The problem with using Yagura as an example for regular genjutsu is the fact that was communicated to us as not being a typical kind of Genjutsu. It’s suggested right after we learn about Yagura that Obito might be related to Sishui. So from that it’s pretty clear that whatever genjutsu was used in Yagura was very far from “normal”, since Naruto often uses blood relation as a point for having similar capabilities. It’s not that normal genjutsu are capable of what Kotoamatsukami is, it’s that Obito was somehow able to use a genjutsu on the same level as Kotoamatsukami. Regarding its combat capabilities, I don’t disagree that it can be used for combat. It absolutely can be. My argument is that the nature of Kotoamatsukami isn’t one designed for combat. It can be used for it, absolutely, but it’s purpose isn’t really for that. It’s like how you can use a shovel to dig a hole or bash in someone’s head. Sure, I can use it for that and it’ll be damn effective, but that’s not what it’s actually built for. Throughout the manga and the light novels, Kotoamatsukami is communicated to us as a jutsu designed for manipulating powerful figures to do what you like by making your suggestion their belief. When you’re affected by it you aren’t a puppet, you aren’t mindlessly following orders, you’re doing everything the caster wants you to do with your intelligence, mannerisms, and everything still in tact. Which is why it’s so powerful. If someone can sense your chakra is disrupted then yeah, they can snap you out of it. But usually they have no reason to suspect anything because besides the change made to your mind, you’re basically the same person. If my goal is to kill someone? I want Tsukuyomi for sure. If my goal is to manipulate a foreign nation’s policies for 20 years to cause irreparable damage to their society and development so they can never threaten my home country again? Kotoamatsukami.
@@nicodemusedwards6931 I'm sorry bro but your first point is COMPLETELY false. It was NEVER communicated to us that obito was using a "special genjutsu". I just googled it and read the manga panels, it's clearly stated that obito used a genjutsu on yagura and that obito never possessed any sort of special genjutsu, if he did possess something like kotoamatsukami then he would've definitely used it more, that's literally the only scenario where we see obito use a powerful genjutsu. There is less than 0 evidence to prove that obito is in any way or form related to shisui, those were complete fan theories and it's your personal head cannon, Google it if you don't believe me. The Wikipedia page of "genjutsu" says that it gives the user control over the targets 5 senses and can be used to make them experience something they haven't and it can be used for brainwashing and manipulation. Idk where you're getting the idea that koto is mainly used for political power, it was only used for that purpose once and it failed miserably. If shisui used it on fugaku then it would've likely failed cause most of the uchiha have a sharingan which can see through genjutsu. Your shovel analogy makes no sense cause koto is more like a gun, if you're gonna use it for manipulation then there's a high chance it's gonna fail especially in a place like konoha which is filled with byakugan users and sensory ninjas. Like I said, all of the subtle changes in mannerisms etc can be achieved by regular genjutsu, it's stated that it can do this and we have seen obito do it. Actually, if you want to kill someone koto would actually be easier especially if the opponent knows you're an uchiha, to use tsukyomi they have to make eye contact which they won't easily do, if you use koto then you can literally just make them kill themselves and they can't even do anything about it. Obito literally manipulated a foreign country for 20 years and made them do what he wanted with REGULAR genjutsu, danzo tried to do exactly what you've mentioned and failed miserably, obito did it without a cooldown lmao
This was an awesome take on a really good find within the lore. One thing I think is interesting here is that it doesn't actually change much about what Itachi is capable of. Anyone that Itachi could not have defeated before this theory is not going to be defeated by him using Tsukuyomi anyway, so it doesn't really change the outcome of anything. The strongest people in the Naruto verse are all relatively immune to genjutsu in one way or another. Or, from a different perspective - Itachi can already defeat almost anyone that he CAN use Tsukuyomi on without using Tsukuyomi.
Now I'm even more curious about the abilities of wicked eye fugaku, why he had a flea on sight status and why itachi was nervous about battling him. Maybe he was killing enemies by just looking at them
The thing that shuts this down for me is I’m huge on the tsukuyomi being his sickness I think itachi also has to experience the tsukuyomi he cast on someone so that’s also why he normally puts a cap on how long someone is in there and why he wouldn’t be able to tsukuyomi someone for 50 plus years again
Hey Nick, I also can't help but point out that in Volume 29, I assume Chapter 258 as it just says Number 258, the clone of Itachi with 30% of his chakra casts Tsukiyomi on Naruto by pointing at him. Thus negating the need to make full eye contact with him for it to work on people
Yeah, Itachi had some mad chakra control. He basically focused his chakra in his finger, so that when people looked at his pointing finger it'd cast a genjutsu on them. As genjutsu with sharingan relies on you focusing your chakra in your eyes. They still need to make eye contact with his finger for it to work, he basically uses it to bamboozle those unaware(like Kakashi funnily enough) of it. Pretty sure nick knows about it, if I knew and you knew, then I'm sure he knew.
@@genzu6388 I know but I felt it was worth mentioning, it's actually more terrifying than simple eye contact. If Itachi wanted to I'm sure he could use a Kunai, or the leaf on his headband maybe. The possibilities are the scariest
Tsukoyomi, Amatarasu and Susanoo with Yata Mirror and the sword were basically invincible, logically nothing could beat it. As the story progressed it obviously had to be nerfed to allow for power creep. Amatarasu went from un stopable to being easily defeated by shedding your clothes lol
@@elbarto4069 he and the rest of the uchiha clan would have been ANNIHILATED if they went ahead with the coup detat. You underestimate the power of konoha’s ninjas. So instead, Itachi took on the villain role so the bad reputation will be fully placed on him instead of the clan, all while saving his brother. Did u even watch the show lmao.
Even if Itachi is basically a pacifist, that doesn't mean that he can't mobilize and adapt in an unnatural situation, especially if the confrontation is a serious one, he prefers most of the time to finish the fights as quickly as possible, that's why Itachi should never be underestimated. Itachi lived his whole life so that Sasuke could defeat him and become an Uchiha hero as well as a hero of the leaf. That, obviously, didn’t go as planned. However, it did allow Sasuke to grow and begin to start asking the right questions that would eventually lead him to becoming the man he (Itachi) wanted him to be. (Itachi was killed so that Sasuke could grow more powerful both as a character (to us in a real world moral sense) and as a Ninja. Itachi from the get go was extremely talented which more precisly means that Itachi just like Minato was pretty much an unique, authentic and especially unpredictable Shinobi which could exceed or overcome almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto himself) In my opinion No One in the series should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). That is why it is arguable/debatable that he probably could or could not defeat foes like Minato, Obito or Pain/Nagato. Itachi was also a prodigy from birth and he knew all sorts of tricks and he's definitely a troublesome fellow to encounter. In my opinion, they are both very versatile, unique, interesting and especially very unpredictable in their way of fighting style approach. If you make an effort to look or to rewatch at all of Itachi's fights, you might discover that he's pretty much always able to outsmart anyone during a fight or a encounter, because of his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach. His way of thinking and his calmness, intelligence and battle IQ experience factor it's very authentic and underrated, his true potential remain still unknown, because he wasn't go all out against anyone during the series.🤷🏻♂️☯️ I don't understand how some of you guys even dare or can to underestimate Itachi like that, many of you guys forget that Itachi isn't just any ordinary shinobi either, he is still considered by a very wide range of Naruto connoisseurs to be a very unique and unpredictable character at the same time and no one should underestimate him as some of you guys currently do. ;/ ☯️🤷🏻♂️What you have to remember, is that even in his battle with Sasuke, he has been fighting to lose. Itachi has always attempted to avoid conflict at all costs. He has to maintain his cover as an Akatsuki member, so he has to make viable excuses to avoid battle. When he says that fighting Jiraiya would have serious consequences, we know that he has an innate desire not to fight anyone at all, let alone a hero of the leaf, and he was a spy protecting Konoha from shadows. He could have killed Kakashi with ease. Kakashi even states that Itachi could have killed him, and wondered why he didn't. Knowing this, it is easy to see the pieces that point to a picture of Itachi that is devastatingly powerful in combat. In his confrontation with Asuma and Kurenai when he enters Konoha, we see him send Kurenai flying a large distance with a simple kick. We also see him deflect chidori, and snap Sasuke's arm like a twig with a single hand. He also sends Sasuke flying clear down the hallway with another kick in this fight. He is obviously a powerful, versatile, unpredictable and underrated taijutsu user. We know that he can kill with a glance using Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu, and become nearly invincible with his Susanoo. We see him use exploding clones, (it's his one of his unpredictability in his fighting way approach) powerful genjutsu not linked to his sharingan, ( with a single point of a one of his fingers) and making hand seals at insane speeds. He kicks the shit out of Kakashi and he barely moves. Tobi also tells us himself that Itachi could have killed him if it weren't for carefully guarded secrets. Orochimaru beats Tsunade and Jiraiya without the use of his arms. Granted, Jiraiya was drugged, but it's still the point. Orochimaru couldn't use seals at all. Itachi obliterated Orochimaru effortlessly. Itachi has been a step above from the beginning. In order for him to keep his cover in Akatsuki, he had to avoid conflict without arousing suspicion, and the best way to do that was to present himself as being much less powerful than he actually is. The one thing we have been able to see in detail, is his intelligence and unpredictability in his fighting way approach. Itachi has been shown to be able to plan events years in advance, to account for possible flaws in his plans with powerful contingencies, and to use every possibility to his advantage. Shikamaru plans a few hours in advance, and we label him a tactical genius. If that is the case, what does one even call Itachi? The only real flaws that Itachi possesses is a smaller chakra reserves, and his own morality which keeps him from gaining Eternal Mangekyo. But even the chakra is arguable. The techniques we see him use are enormously powerful, and would therefor have a huge chakra cost. I'm not going to say he is the most powerful character in the anime, but I am going to say he is definitely very very high on that list, and probably higher than most people seem to give him credit for. Lastly but not least, Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. 🤷🏻♂️☯️✌️
He seems to be very informed and that is what scares me the most if I was gonna fight him. But in that world I don't I'd know all his powers. I think what'd you need to do is try to disable him even more like blend him, take out his sense of smell and definitely make it so that he can't use chakra or he'll die. And finally, blitz him and discard of his body. I think the most important thing to have in a fight with Itachi is defense physically and from chakra so that he can't use those moves on you. And make sure you can endure the fight for a while, so it's hopefully easier to blitz him.
Infinite Tsukuyomi was casted and Madara didn't control everyone. My guess is that Itachi can simply give a general indication of what he wants the person to see and feel during the genjutsu and doesn't need to be there for 2/3 days or 70 years
The powerful character by which he was not famous for his powers but something we cannot explain . If he appears an in screen even the protagonist didn’t get the chance for a MVP . He was the hero in his 24 episodes without losing a single battle 🐐
Nick can we get a video on how good naruto is able to control his chakra and include whether or not he had to balance his chakra with kuramas when he was starting in the academy
I feel as though you just gotta out hax Itachi but also make sure you're powers isn't that easy to analyze. And to maybe only fight him with a team rather than by yourself. Get Itachi by himself.
So to kinda add to your previous video about Itachi being a horrible spy. He didn't even have to like find an opening to deliver information or drop off paperwork. He could have hit someone that needed to know with Tsukiyomi and not only had basically infinite time to explain everything he learned, but as the "god" of the Tsukiyomi world he could have made facsimiles of the various Akatsuki and shown them what they could do and potential weaknesses basically instantly. Hell he had 72 hours with Kakashi that would have been more than enough time to explain his entire backstory and the situation and it would have been some amazing set up for Shippuden. We could have been left wondering why Kakashi seems to know about what the Akatsuki can do before we meet them and build up to the reveal that Itachi isn't the villain we thought he was.
Here’s my question of the day: could sharingan and byakugan users see stands from JJBA? Because usually only stand users can see stands, but how would that apply to dojutsu users?
Itachi fans will say that Itachi can beat Keiki Haniyasushin and Okina Matara because Itachi has Tsukuyomi in a picosecond while Keiki has the ability to create idols and Okina has the ability to create back doors at the back of anything.
Imagine Itachi using Tsukuyomi during the chunin exams, instead of the normal genjutsu when he was fighting the 1 on 1 battle with guy that would fall asleep.
15:00 you can actually just kinda will power yourself out of Tsukuyomi. And it’s also mentioned in Itachi’s novels that medical ninjutsu is commonly known to cure it.
For some reason so many Naruto fans just can't seem to remember that the only reason why Naruto still had poor chakra control in Chuunin tournament arc was because of Orochimaru fucking up his Kurama seal. He was severely handicapped at that point but somehow still managed to be useful.
Itachi offed his clan to save Konoha. Just cause he was able to save one family member in the process doesn’t mean he did it for Sasuke😅 Naruto’s fans, for their own mental health truly need to stop romanticizing everything about Itachi. He didn’t sacrifice himself, he sacrificed his own family, a family he absolutely despised. The only people he felt bad killing were his parents and still had the guts to do it. And his all plan with Sasuke failed miserably, instead of “making him strong” he put him under a genjutsu and showed him how he offed everyone for thousands of times and even manipulated a 7 y.o kid into offing his best friend and achieve power. Just cause he had the wellfare of Konoha on his mind can’t erase his crimes, which were terrible. He turned Sasuke into a completely unstable person with little to no chances of ever healing after something like that. And the irony is that Itachi admitted to his past mistakes but you guys worship him for being “perfect”😅 it’s really not healthy
Itachi regreted of killed his clan and tortured his brother. All that shit was necessary, but i think Itachi in the end realized that could be another way to fix that problem
No one says he's perfect, but everything you wrote is what makes him such a great character. You can disagree with someones choices and still think the're great.
Interesting how you managed to not understand basically anything about this character. Sasuke would've never become even close to what he was without Itachi.
Let's not forget Sasuke is the only person who has broken out of Tsukuyomi, and that was only because of the curse mark conveniently activating and disrupting his natural chakra similarly to what happens with jinchuriki. Could be why Itachi took away the curse mark, to then hit Sasuke with Izanami without complication. But then he ran out of time.
Agreed. However I do believe itachi had more innate ability than sasuke. As great as sasuke has always been he was never anbu at 12 or 13 and his mental strength has always been lacking until the war arc. I’m a huge fan of all the uchihas but I just believe itachi would’ve been the strongest of them all given the time and circumstance.
The way you talked about leftovers and baldurs gate 3 💀 watching this while in the kitchen, heating up leftovers, after playing bg3 😭😭 wrong order but damn
This made me think of one thing though, if he only needs like a third of a second to do all that why not use it as a way to oh idk TELL THE LEAF YOU’RE ACTUALLY ON THEIR SIDE AND A DOUBLE AGENT SENT BY THE HOKAGE TO INFILTRATE THE AKATSUKI. Like it’s the PERFECT way to have secret meetings and pass information. Plus I’m sure the strain on the person under the genjutsu will most likely pass out from exhaustion anyway. Or he can be like “okay after this I need you to act tired or run away” come on Itachi work smarter not harder.
on one hand i wanna be super impressed and shocked, on the other hand i swear you talked about this in one of your videos assessing Itachi's stregnth before lol
The real mindf*** is when you imagine what sort of skills/techniques Itachi could allow a Shinobi to learn if he used Tsukiyomi to give someone that time to train or develop new jutsu. It could theoretically be the room of spirit and time on steroids. Now I wonder if Naruto could use shadow clones in tsukiyomi and multiply his growth even farther. 🤔
"He needs eye contact" nop, he actually doesn't, he is super broken, he only need to be close enough, he is literally a demigod in the narutoverse, not even Madara could beat him if he used 100% of his powers, that in the words of Kishi.
It’s worth mentioning that in the Sasuke fight him using Tsukuyomi in real time physically and mentally exhausted Sasuke to the point that the only thing that could break him out was the curse mark.
I believe that the more time he spends in his genjutsu the more it damages his chakra because his spirit ages much faster than his physical self because of the time dilation so his spiritual energy is decades older than his physical self.
i love following this guy... soooo much content. and his personality keeps it fun! Six and swagkage were my 1st. But Nc Hammer is the best i ever had 😜
so in a way itachi was lucky tsunade was so good as a medic AND willing to come home. otherwise he would´ve put one of the strongest defenders of konoha out of commision as well as destroyed the uchiha clan entirely and ruined his plan for keeping sasuke alive
Killing someone instantly is insane, but he can also just sit there and think really hard for a year or two to solve any problem and beat any enemy without killing. This man can stack sooo many lifetimes worth of knowlege into one sec, that kinda exelartes his inteligence by soo much. also he is not alone in thinkinh he can invite any perosn to his realm and ponder for hundreats of years about any thing. Intachi could be the gratest philospher, wisesed and most inteligent man in the universe. ye thats a lil broken even for civialn uses lol
23:26 "as we know the older you get the lower your chakra levels become, look at hirozen in his fight with orochimaru" i feel like nick forgot hirozen was able to take both tobirama and hashiramas souls along with orochimaru arms, prob not the best example 😭
So itachi didn't have an illness, he just literally was a 70 plus year old man when it comes to chakra. I like that theory and to me it makes more sense.
Just remember if Tsunade wasn't around to heal Kakashi. He'd be dancing in front of Ichiraku Naked talking about how he used to be a Anbu Captain and no one believing him.
I don't think it's so much you die in genjutsu, you die in reality, but that Izami was overwhelmed by living 70 years of life in an instant that it fried her brain.
