You guys are all lost. Mr. Beef has been doing a huge booming business for decades. Why? They have one of the very best Italian Beefs in Chicago. I dunno who lil J is, but I do know Jay Leno visits Mr. Beef every time he's in town. One thing about Leno, he knows good food. I love Mr Beef and holy smokes are they ever fast at moving the lines and making great sangwiches.

You must have the palate of a newborn. Al's Beef uses too many spices since their beef has no flavor and no substance. Their beef is cut to shreads since it's not fresh. Just do a taste-test folks and you'll find out your own answer.

Problem is you have to go to Philly for a real good cheese steak. I used to go to Atlantic City every year for about 5 years and I literally would drive to Philly at least twice on my trip to eat their Philly steaks. Even the best cheese steak in Chicago doesn't come close.
