Of course they do, they have lived in France since birth and go to a school or maternelle there. They will have perfect accent as well, indistinguishable from any other French person.
@@katehobbs2008 Absolutely! In fact, back in the summer Annalise mentioned that their school reported the boys had caught up to grade level in their French. So according to the school, they are learning completely in French successfully just like their peers which is excellent!
Our kids are small for such a short time. Sometimes it doesnt feel like that but when your 50, you'll look back and be glad you spent precious father/son moments like these!!
Dan, have you considered renting a camper van? You could solve 2 problems in one. A home, on wheels, buckets of fun, freedom and if you choose the right one, they can be quite comfy inside. Your adorable boys would also love it. It could be a stop-gap you might enjoy. Just a thought. Good luck. 🍀🤞
I have an American friend who raised her children in France. Now 17 and 21, her sons speak perfect English and perfect French. It’s an incredible gift, and one that I certainly wish I had. Your boys are very fortunate.
We are Australian and my grandson's father is Polish. He speaks Polish without an accent and Australian without an accent. I told his dad to only speak Polish to him when he was born and his Australian Mum will sort out the English. Now both grandmothers can talk to him. He was his Polish Grandmother's interrupter when she came to visit.
@@suestutzle2779 My brother and son have both done something similar. They speak only English to their children and the mothers speak only German. Great for me because I don’t understand German but my niece, nephew and granddaughter all converse in perfect English. 😅
@Sue Stutzle I was going to question the interruptor being interpreter. Then I recalled my own children in only one language. They are both. Lol Great to see Dan's boys are already comfortable speaking both languages.
Hearing the boys speak French is adorable, being bilingual will be a huge asset to them👍 Love that you let them have their choice of toy👸👸 and that they didn't realise the 'big tv' was actually the cinema! Good luck with the accommodation search x
Dan, I think you’re a wonderful father. And being sensitive, in touch with your feelings, and caring isn’t gay. I’m gay. I hope you quickly find a situation that works for you and your boys. Plus, letting your boy get the princess outfit is amazing. The world needs more men like you. Been a follower since the chateau diaries and love your (daily) videos and happy to see you posting more frequently.
Oh Dan, what an utter mess this has all turned out to be ! I think every one of us would give you a room if we lived near to help. As you say, it will all work itself out in the end. At least this way you will be able to say "from homeless to living in a Chateau" in a few years time ! I can only hope your Fairy Godmother sprinkles a bit of magic dust on this entire situation ASAP so it all turns out for the best ! All our very best wishes !!!
Dan, you will sort things out, I know it. You are a very resourceful young man. I am sure it’s hard, but please keep the faith! Kisses to those two adorable little boys. They are delightful!
Your sons are so fortunate to have you for their father. Things might be a bit chaotic, and even a bit scary right now, but they see their dad living life on his own terms, creatively, and with a sense of purpose, working hard to realize his dreams. That opens up the world for them, they'll grow-up knowing they can do it their way, the way their dad does. By the way, I'm 67 and I'm still trying to dodge being an adult. It sucks!
I'm pregnant with our first, and I plan on speaking to my little boy in french as much as I can in hopes he'll be fluent in both English and French (Canadian living in a bilingual city) and hearing your boys just flip from one to the other, makes my heart so happy! It's such a lovely thing.
Oh my God Dan, your boys are so sweet. Listening to them speak French was the cherry on top of the cuteness sundae. Good luck finding quality housing very soon.❤️🤞🙏
Omgoodness!!! How ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE are your boys? Their sweet little voices and their little French ❤️. I'm in love. You are doing a amazing job, not only as a person and a father...but your life. No matter what happens you are continuing to move forward and even making sure that you continue to work on and improve your boys and Annalise's home. You are a good man and extremely talented. Prayers and blessings sent to you and yours ❤️❤️❤️
In your situation would either buy an old aluminium 4 berth caravan or buy a garden summerhouse/ chalet and insulate and fit it out and site it at the Chateau. See the Marie and go for the site security angle for temporary planning/use. Add a wood burning stove and once site has water/ electric add to chalet.
We have space to put you up Dan until your sorted, we are 5 mins South of limoges , 15 mins from the airport . We may be a little far but its a option if you need it, Jen 🌙
Hurray, I am so glad you mentioned starting the cabin on your Chateau property! This will be soooo exciting! I hope and pray all works out for you with regards to accommodation. Those little sons of yours are absolutely wonderful, just as wonderful as you are a Dad!
What endearing boys you and Annalise have Dan. They are so sweet and adorable and are such great mates by the look of it too? Thanks for sharing those precious moments with the boys. Hopefully your dwelling on the Chateau site can be constructed soon so your housing situation will be sorted. 🥰
Dan I am a 74 year old great grandmother! I just want you to know that I will be praying for your situation! Your boys are precious! I just know with your big heart, things will work out fine!
Delightful video especially the kids enjoying the cinema. You will work something out Dan, the log cabin at the Chataeu will encourage you to start more work there as the weather starts to improve I'm sure. 💕🇦🇺
I loved the raw sweetness of this episode Dan...thanks for sharing reality of the moment. I also take chances in life and many do not understand but I always land on my feet. You have some choices to make and all will be fine.
The boys are a treasure... Love the energy... You are moving in the right direction, and will be living at the chateau.... Transition in never easy! Blessings to all...
If you installed a bathroom for the studio, perhaps you could live there to be close to the worksite and the boys. Then when you move on, Annalise could rent it out.
@@lolodee3528 Exactly. Where's he going to live in the meantime while this bathroom is getting built? Which considering all he's got going on would probably take a couple of months. Plus the added expense which would set him back financially on his other projects. Not to mention Annalise might not want him living on the property. It would kind of be up to her if she's cool with it or not.
Don’t quite understand why he is breaking his back on the new addition when he can’t even live there. People live together as roommates all the time, there doesn’t have to be intimacy if it’s not wanted.
@Jarfm He's breaking his back on the new addition because it will improve the property's value and he's still an owner. Plus, he wants his kids to have a nice place to live. Plus, he follows through on his tasks and promises. As for living with an ex, it's quite different than living with a roommate. There's a lot of history there. If they couldn't make it work as a couple, being roommates might not be much different. Both parties have to be onboard and we know nothing about their relationship other than that they choose to no longer be together but are committed to their boys.
So fun going to the movies with you and the boys!❤️. They are so precious. Getting the farm sorted gives you more time to plan for the upcoming summer of chateau work. That will be so much more fun for you although your love for the boys is keeping you on track getting their home finished first. 👏🏻👏🏻
Good luck with finding accommodation and transport Dan. I hope something good happens soon for you to help you take the next steps forward toward your château life. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
Oh my god they are adorable! Lovely to see your lovely gentle parenting and you all speaking French together. 'I think it's bedtime' and 'Oh that was the cinema' were gorgeous moments. I hope something easy works out soon for you,
I love that you bought your kids princess costumes without a second thought or any kind of comment about gender stuff. You just let them be happy with something they liked, and that's really good parenting! Hopefully your cabin build will be swift and unproblematic.
Ah, so many questions! Hang in there & as you said it will get sorted out. Meanwhile, will just say a little prayer that it does quickly. You're working very hard & deserve things to be better soon!
OMGOSH your two little boys are so cute . Good luck with your project, I’m sure you will find a stable place to live in till you build yours. Lots of love from Canada 🇨🇦
Dan….thank you for sharing this, it’s hard to share struggles but you got this! Just the person you are, this will work out for you and those adorable littles!😍
What a sweet day with your boys!! My son and I still do your iconic "see you tomorrow" followed with turning off the light and saying "Boop!" I am amazed by how bilingual they are, it's wonderful. I wish my son (now age 5) would speak more Dutch with me as he understands everything I say. As for your situation, I am confident that you'll find your balance again. You are Dan the Handy-tshirttan-bricklaying-gardener-awesomedad-Man!!
Hi Dan, that was the cutest video, not because your homeless of which I’m so sorry for you, but because you have the most gorgeous little boys, when they spoke French it gave me such a lump in my throat, there adorability is off the scale, you and Annalise must be so proud, you have a lot of friends Dan, they would never see you homeless, chin up honey all will be well, much love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dan, go see your friend, at Chateau De La Lande. The sooner you are able to get the little cabin built, the better! Maybe you can place it near the old pool area, in case you decide to turn that area into a patio one day! P.S. I have really been homeless before, for real, for a period of six months in 2009. I couldn’t even afford to buy a 2liter bottle of Diet Coke! I remember going in a church office here one time! I had not eaten in two days and was starving. The receptionist found an old stale box of strawberry pop tarts, in her desk! I sat on the church steps, and ate the whole box, at one time! It was the best meal I ever had! That 6 month experience, changed my life forever! Being homeless is no joke. It’s even worse when it’s cold, and raining! I remember one time feeling like an animal! All the best with the boys, and finding a place to live! Thomas!
@@sandrab6489 yes, with all of the negative energy vortex’s surrounding them, it’s basically like a pit of doom, and a miserable existence! I was determined to get out, it was hard for me! If I had had an addiction, it would have been even harder! A lot of homeless people suffer from what I call, a society association disorder! For one reason or another, they are unable to fit in to the every day rhythm of a working life! There are so many strikes against them, as found on Maslow’s Hierarchy Human Needs Psychological Pyramid, (Google) that they are doomed! We owe our fellow man, no matter how different they are, at least a roof over their head, medical needs, a hot meal, and much empathy! I would not trade my time as a homeless person, for any other experience, in this earth plain! It gave even more, a greater love and empathy for humanity! It is honestly true, and a person cannot be really understood, until they walk in another persons shoes! It is interesting that life keeps coming back to such basic Christian, or any other religions, major tenets of truths, and beliefs! We are to be judged on how we have treated the most humble, marginalized, and suffering among us! The meek will inherit the Earth, it’s a guarantee!
Omg. Listening to the little one speaking French melted my heart. Two gorgeous boys. They had a great time with Daddy. Surely there’s a space in the chateau till you get settled somewhere Good luck with your search Dan.
Dan bless you and yours.. I hope all works out for ya man.. Must say I love seeing you with your boys.. It filled my heart when your boys picked out toys and you didn't flinch!! My Dad was an ass about boys playing with what is so called girls toys.. You Rock Dude!! But my fav part of the video was when your son said "when are they gonna turn on the big TV??" That was hilarious.. Life through the eyes of children.. Priceless!!!
Sometimes life takes us on many twists and turns and they certainly do work themselves out. I also agree, I have always hated being an adult as well. However there also comes a day, if things are going to work themselves out, we have to put on our grown up panties and get on with working out our own solutions. Times of transition certainly suck, but not for too long. Been there done that a million times. So many times that people have said I should write a book, because people would not believe what I have gone through and that I am still standing. You Dan have lots of skill and your are definitely a smart man, you will figure out a solution and put life back on track in a very positive way. Your boys are a good measure of the successes in your life. You are a good Dad and Annalise is a good Mom.
we're all behind danno........... your a great dad, great carpenter, and a great mechanic, a renaissance man of sorts, as it is often said ' it is always darkest before the dawn ' often things will come to my mind and before i know it, it either happens or it shows up on its own, i use to be able to do it with tv shows, now that i only have internet, it still happens but in a different manner
Dan your such a wonderful daddy! I just know good things are coming your way, can’t fail to! I agree with all your other followers if we lived closer you’d never have to worry about accomodation again! Best Luck, kiddies are so lucky
Ces pop-corns sont énormes ! As someone else said, transitions are never easy but you have stayed involved with the boys and that is key. Everything else sorts out in the wash.
@@stephaniewaters4931 Me too! I was wondering the same thing. I hope it's only a separation and that they'll work it out. They are lovely people. But it cant' be easy putting your life out there for all to see. Best wishes!
I feel so bad about your situation. If I lived in France I would offer to take you in, but I don't live there. Something will turn up I just know it. Praying for you and your family.
Totally adorable!! 🥰🥰 FAITH! Takes a good heart to faithfully know that difficulties will sort themselves out! 🥰🙏❤️ Best path forward, siempre avante ❤️
Your boys are adorable. Looks like it was a fun day with them. Being an adult certainly isn’t fun at times. Hope it gets sorted out soon for you. See ya tomorrow 😍😘
I watch every episode but usually dont comment. But your boys are the best! It looked like a fun day out! So adorable and polite. I do hope you go back to Lanlande!!! Your friends who are like family are there. It would be like going home. Plus you and Stephanie's banter is the BEST! 🦋
Sending prayers that things turn around quickly. Would be great if you could find a camper to set up on your new property while you begin working on your cabin. Not sure how things are in France, but I know my husband and I found an old retro one that was a dingy mess here in America and quickly fixed it up in no time (and you have major fixer-up skills). Then when you when your cabin is fixed and ready, you can resell the camper. Seriously we bought a 1965 Shasta for $1000 that was painted and decorated in camouflage because the person we bought it from used it as a hunting cabin. We ripped out carpeting, put down vinyl plank flooring, painted inside and out, replaced some windows, built a new bench seat, recovered cushions, then used it for a couple years, and were able to sell it for a profit. Then you would be essentially reinvesting in your own project to move you ahead, instead of paying rent to someone else.
🙏🕊I am praying for you . I totally understand dont give up or give in . Your boys are precious!!! Love the fluent french your boys speak. You would be welcome anytime..long commute from the USA though.
I watch a Canadian vlog Tyler and Todd the are building their homestead but live in a dome while it's in process. Just a thought to put one up on your property. Might we quicker than a cabin, or maybe ask to borrow a caravan to live on site as well. Hang in there you are a creative guy. You will figure it out. Take care.
Even in the midst of your problems, you still find time to be a good dad....you're amazing. Help is on the way for you Dan. God knows your needs, I will say a prayer for you around 1:30am. See ya tomorrow!!!
What a great Idea to buy a blanket for in the cinema. You didn't buy it for the boys, but at home I often take a blanket and watch a film. It is so cosy and warm, lovely. In the Netherlands 🇳🇱 we say " gezellig". And it is,to share a blanket with someone.
I get the homeless thing. I am a solo mumma of 5. I spent the (Southern hemisphere) summer of 2021 homeless with 5 children. It is rough and difficult. Got to get on that Cabin at the chateau! May these challenges be the biggest you experience this coming year and th little wins get bigger.
Dan, not sure if it's of any help (distance wise), but we have a spare bed here at the moment if needed. Be warned it's still a work in progress here, but i'm sure that wouldn't daunt you. Postcode for area is 16270.
Obviously she won't because he's not seeing that as an option. We only see what anyone puts out in a highly edited and selective video. Some channels are are as real as "reality" TV.
Kids are great 😍 Hey....im sure Madame Stephanie will be more than happy to accommodate ýour highness...+ your bestie Amaury too And what about your fancy studio....to add a sofa bed in !? Cheers and much love to you all
The Boys are cute yes, and you are a loving Father! Heartwarming to watch! Wish you a lovely Place to stay till .... maybe a Campertrailer could be an idea?
You HAVE come a long ways since then (10 months) Watching you and your little ones grow makes me wish I was there to give you a hand. Alas, at my age and health, it be out of me space right now. Take good care of those boys and when they grow up, they will (should) take good care of you.
Dan like you said things have a way of working out, however, being an adult sometimes really sucks! Keep your head up, keep your friends close and remember it’s all temporary.
The boys are getting so big already! They are absolutely precious. Dan, I am praying for you and your family. You may think about talking to a local church pastor/priest about housing, even if interim until something permanent opens up.
Would staying in the studio you built next to the farmhouse be an option? It would be convenient while you work on building there. You'd have electric and the wood burner for heat. ?♥️?
The boys seem perfect and that’s the best in the end. I hope some of your media work is paying off, and of course you’re the perfect house guest! Bon courage mon ami vidéo.
