Idk why but I loved all of ITZY's songs the first time i listened to them, especially Wannabe(so much until i consider it one of my fav song of all time) 😂 maybe its just my taste in music 🤭
When he said they got 70% ITZY and 30% JYP instead of 100% ITZY, that really hit me, I always thought there was something odd about this but now I know :)
0:03 And it is that 30% that made me love this song. It's melodic and dancey JYP style. Their earlier two releases were more of a mashup of YGxSM style music. I haven't liked their older shout/chant singing style songs, but this song is fire 🔥🔥
I think WANNABE should have come before DALLA DALLA and ICY. It feels more like a prequel to those two, because in this one they're kinda following society's expectations of them and are just now realizing they can break out of that mold and be themselves, and then we would naturally progress to the messages of DALLA DALLA (celebrating self-love and being different and not caring what others think), and ICY (being confident in who you are doing what you wanna do in life). I mean, their mv's don't have to be in any particular order since it's not following a set story line, but that's how it makes the most sense to me at least. I also agree with you in that it COULD have been a bit more crazy besides just taking off high heels and hair cutting. But then again, if we look at WANNABE through the eyes of being a "prequel", this is when the girls were JUST discovering what they were capable of and who they really wanted to be, so you could say these more subtle actions are a tentative start to what will later become the much more chaotic/unique vibe of DALLA DALLA and ICY.
I didn't really like Itzy before and I found their previous releases just average, but seriously this song is just on another level. The song and the mv deserve tons of awards seriously
This 100% to 70% made me a fan of them. I always found this *DiFfErEnT* sound they had a bit annoying rather than unique; catchy but kinda annoying. This song is just the perfect amount of every thing. If you listen closely there are a lot of unique elements to the production. Also the choreo makes it 10 times better. It's a great comeback. The girls are still young and they're very versatile, so they still have a long way a head of them and a lot to offer. I can't wait to hopefully see their growth and them experiencing with different styles and sounds cause I feel like the last 3 songs have been very similar. I personally don't mind this, but I would love to see them trying different things

I really love the beginning of this song and the dance break. But the chorus and the middle part kills me, I really don’t like it, it’s way too soft for the beginning ): it kid of sound like twice
I wouldn't say I am sick or tired of their concept, but they've now produced 3 singles which have the same exact message, like word for word, and I get it, it's a good message, but for christ sake say something else
literally, all of kpop songs are about love and ITZY's songs are about being confident and being unique. If u don't have problem with the love topic which is used a lot in kpop, why are u sick of their concept? I think their concept is different from others, just like they said: "IT'Z DIFFERENT". I don't get it lol I think u would prefer "I love u", "I miss u" blah blah blah than these meaningful lyrics lol
What's more Dalla Dalla is about being different and being unique. Icy is a song that conveys the message they don't care what others say, they just move on. And Wannabe's lyrics are about they want to become who they are, not just someone else. Well, i don't think they are the same. LoL Grow up dude. If u listened to their song carefully, u would not say that it all the same. Think before u comment pls
