Ivory meeting at Vert Galant 

At Vert Galant Association, Denis showed his superb vielle a roue (hurdy gurdy) owned by the Duke of Normandy (his crest carved), made by Nicolas Melling in Paris ~1760, with a lovely lady figurehead made of ivory with glass eyes, ebony hair, jewel necklace. Curtis played it with Bruce playing his ivory musette, a meeting of ivories! We play "Gallerie Des Chevreuils" (about prancing does) by Nicolas Chedeville from his collection of duets for viel and musette "Les Impromptus De Fountainbleau" dedicated to the princess ‘Madame’ Victoire.
