@@kush.4962 i worded it poorly but im still correct and let me explain why: glazing means by universally established definition over-praise and "dickriding" and praising gets over-praising at the point where the person is getting praised more than they deserve to be. what i meant that he actually meant it i mean that if he means every word and genuinely thinks the person being praised deserves all the praise hes giving him, then it is by definition not glazing. technically we would have to agree upon if dom deserves that praise or not, but since its subjective, only the person praising them can decide how they genuinely feel about what they deserve. and thus if you feel like youre only giving the praise they deserve, then youre not glazing that person. id be glazing dom if i said that hes the greatest content creator to ever have existed, because its over the top and i dont actually think that, it would be exaggerated. which is what glazing means; over-exaggerated praise. if i think faker is the goat, you wouldnt call that glazing. but if i think dom has the goat takes on all the stuff recently, that would be glazing then? but i genuinely think both of those things the same exact way.

i think the format is the main issue. it promotes short term success which has made teams afraid to gamble on players and teams that could potentially take G2 down. this region is slowly becoming unwatchable with no arena for finals, shit trophy and shit teams.

To blame it on the split changes (which is now basically 2 years old) is just fucking stupid lmao. 2023 All 3 eu teams were knocked out in the swiss stage. 2022 both eu teams were knocked out in groups. 2021 fnc was knocked out in groups and MAD got 3-0'ed by DK. 2020 both teams made it out of the group stage. Oh so EU has not had a good international showing for 3 (lets be honest it will be 4) years now. The 3 split system came in in 2023. What other statistics need to be shown for this? A format is not why teams are bad. They are dogshit because they are dogshit. Thats it. A format does not dictate how you play a game in game, it dictates your draft and thats about as far as it goes. And what do you mean afraid to gamble on players? You could make a replace and make a whole competitive roster for fnc just from people who aren't in lec currently (lider, crownshot, alphari, kirei).

The only argument i can find to somewhat salvage it for g2 is that this is the worst possibly imaginable meta for them and they literally dont know how to play this kind of game. Because at most parts at least the general fundamentels are still there and are the reason g2 wins almost every single game even though they dont know how to play the early game So if the meta hopefully gete changed till worlds, this team still has hope and can acutally play the game. I mean just look at msi, they were good with the meta and played beatifully almost every single game. I wont excuse Mikys and BBs behaviour though or shift it on the meta. Mikyx really trolled some games and BB is straight up running down every single game, playing like fckn dogshit. A random gm player would probably perform better than bb rn.

Styles make fights T1 won last year cause the meta aligned perfectly for them This is the anti g2 meta and they still beat these trash teams But I agree overall LEC feels horrific

I wouldn't completely call it anti G2 meta, simply some of their player are getting exposed by their lack of champ pool. Let's be honest BB played pretty meh in playoffs, but he is pretty mid without his cheese picks. When Yike was the only player picking Lillia when she wasn't meta even played 1-2 Nida games last year at MSI. But for some reason G2 refuse to pick these champs. Caps struggeled at the start of summer with this new shitty adc meta he kept losing the Corki Tristana matchup on both champs yet he improved and plays on the level he played at MSI or very close to it. Hans struggles on anything if they are not named Kalista or Draven. Both fell out of the meta and he doesn't feel confident in the early game on any other champs. He is fine in later stages of the game, but IDK what we expect from an ADC who got no idea how to play Zeri. Mikyx yeah he ints a bit more, but Hans not playing being able to play the lane out in his hyper agressive playstyle effect him too.

This is the worst meta possible for g2. You can let them off.

Nautilus leona braum are meta which are all champs miky is known for hes just actually griefing, running down the entire game every time consistently. Hes actually intentionally feeding. ADCs mid are something caps is historically great at but he got worse in lane somehow which to his credit is not the main problem of the team and he generally does decently so its fine i guess. Yike is known for his lillia and his maokai which are meta but he randomly decided to never pick lillia i guess and absolutely ints his mechanics SO consistently in most skirmishes and fks up his jungle pathing every game somehow. BB is supposed to be good as a weakside laner but randomly ints his lanes just to come back to play the game at minute 15 with a 3k deficit for zero reason. Hans sama just decides to play varus every game even in good draven spots and they drop ashe prio when its one of his better champs and he is supposed to be a good early laner thats aggressive but consistently loses lane into do nothing combo. None of these fundamental things are meta issues at all, the meta should even be good for them by most metrics. The team just fucking sucks and the rest of the teams in the region suck even more, fuck this LEC bullshit.
