Title: Method of producing hydrogen and reducing CO2
Short description: The reduction of CO2 content in the atmosphere is based on its capture and utilisation. Photocatalysis make it possible to reduce CO2 under the action of light. The invention concerns the application of new homogeneous photocatalysts - inorganic zinc compounds. The reaction takes place in water with the addition of inorganic forms of zinc, which dissolve under the action of CO2 until a transparent solution is obtained. After irradiation with UV-Vis, the formation of H2, CO and CH4 is observed.
