I grew up with Nas as my number one. My little sister grew up with Cole as her number one. Yall can imagine how amazing this remix was for us to rock together. This shit is timeless
When Nas remixed the chourus and said "Slick Rick was like Jesus, Cool G rap wrote the Bible" that shit made me teary eyed. This remix was legendary 🐐🐐
“I ain’t mad at you young king, This unsong song is haunting” Nas paint a whole story with two lines. How cool for J Cole. This will be something J cole will have forever. And he forever has Nas co-sign. And Nas managed to school young Bull in a respectful way and now Coles latest album his best in years. Nas fans coming to like Cole. Young Cole fans seeing what we all saying when we say Nas is the greatest. This was a beautiful moment.
This gives me that same feeling of a father reassuring his son that he's walking the right path while acknowledging his son is a man in the most respectful way. Its absolutely beautiful.
Cole spits direct and from the heart and i immediately understand. when Nas spits, I need to hear it a few times before I fully understand. Nas is a poet. 🤷🏻♀️ anyway this song is emotional and comes full circle beautifully 🌏
This moment was so monumental, two different generation of rappers on the same track to spit their truth about how they feel about one another when it comes to rapping. Both Nas and J Cole are the 🐐s and I even shedded tears listening to this track because hip hop was resurrected with this one
After this Cole and Kendrick diss situation, and Cole's apology making the rap nation crucify him on a stake of cowardice, I had to rush here finding this as therapy. Seeing what they are doing to Cole breaks my heart. But I know Cole's going to resurrect from this tomb they are trying to lock him in. It will be a greater glory and he is going to have more on his side. I believe this is the way of purposeful sons. I stand with Cole a 100 times.
honestly with how badly Drake was beat up I feel people are seeing Cole was actually clever to realize the beef wasn't about him and that he should just bail
I imagine this chorus as a wedding toast. As a groom hailing the bride's dad. I know this is a different story, but that's how I pictured this song in my head. Like a problematic family in a gathering with the scores settled in peace, especially at the last chorus. Beautiful shit!
The chills I get watching this, the excitement, the stank face from the lyrics, the want to look up and understand this just to know this is why I love music.
A strong case can be made that this is the Illest hip hop song ever. It captures the essence of the culture. The importance of this track can’t be measured.
Bro i just found out about this story and I can’t keep my tears in my eyes. That’s culture man, and culture is the page of human kind that gives them worth. Never gonna forget this shit.
This is Hip-Hop to the core! Hip-Hop in its purest, rarest form. This is what we need to be hearing in Hip-Hop. 2 students of the game from different eras that became the greatest of their generation settling their differences and setting the record straight. Hip-Hop is alive
They didn’t have differences to settle dude smh it wasn’t nowhere near that deep like do you even know the situation? Or you can’t comprehend the verses?
@@JudahsAwakening sir, I’m just voicing my perspective if that’s ok with you, I’m a fan of both these dudes. I’m very familiar with the situation they both talked about it in this song. I’m not about argue with another grown man about 2 other grown men. But if you have something to say in regards to my ignorance speak on it I’d be more than glad to hear your perspective respectfully.
Ain’t nothing to talk about it wasn’t a beef it wasn’t a issue so there was no differences to settle, j cole put out some shit that nas felt like was beneath him as an artist. That’s it that’s all, in all actuality that’s a compliment for somebody to say something is beneath you that means they hold you in extreme high regards right???
@@JudahsAwakening who said it was a beef? I said there was differences they settled and you hopped in my comment trynna check me lol 😂 there absolutely WAS a dispute that had to settle. Listen to the song again bro lol
