No disrespect to artists like Jay-z, Nas, Eminem, Biggie, 2pac, Rakim, Daddy Kane, ect ect... but J Dilla is all around the greatest Hip-Hop artist of all time... he could do everything!!!!
Dilla was the best triple threat element. He has that core hood element in his rap,his critically revered producing skills, and his mixing skills were just right. Dont know what music I am going to find after this, but Ill never get too far from JD the OG.
Maybe sometime later. I still have a lot to see in hip hop. Especially what's good in the underground these past couple years. Probably will go through that phase though.
@@sidework1 As Questlove put, Dilla’s drum programming has changed Hip-Hop and Neo Soul as genres since ‘96. I’m not saying Dilla’s better than Nujabes. It’s just that their goals in production we’re completely different so you can’t really compare.
@@snappy_. The reason they're brought up together so often is because they were both born on the same day of the same year, both died young, and both are credited as being two of the biggest influences on the lofi hip-hop sub-genre in different ways.
@@dallinferguson994 Yah I totally get it, it’s just that the only musical similarity is that they were both insanely dedicated to the art of Hip-Hop production and they’re best known for their more beautiful/relaxing beats.
Yep..another episode, u f***ed up lettin dill get in the door...I'm lettin you know.. im like a professional, making my hits, collecting my doe.. Sick Azz lyrics ..my theme song R.I.P J Dilla
