It's not often that us Bayrippers get to go for a ride on a high performance v-drive. When jack offered me a ride on a v-drive that he and his father custom built, I couldn't say no! Jack started out with V-drives and later on moved to a 21 cougar with a 300r outboard, and now has a 30' Spectre with twin 300R.
Brief overview of this boat from Jack:
"My dad used to race in the 70s (not this boat). He and I both ran this boat at the Wolfeboro NH antique boat regatta along with other similar boats we've built / own. It's a Raysoncraft Grand National with custom wood deck that my dad and I installed. Boat used to be a single center seat race boat. Dad and i did the body work, gel, varnish, blueprinted the bottom, made every piece of hardware. Engine is a 750hp NA 572 big block chevy."
