Words always fail me. All Comments try to portray heartfelt emotions, and some do an excellent job of relating how we treasure Jackie's singing. To add more superlatives are like gilding a Lily. With so much new confusion and horror on the tube each day, taking a few minutes aside listening to Jackie, well, her singing may only be termed, "Priceless." I pray that if Jackie sings the Schubert "Ave Maria" again, she will dedicate the performance to the memory of Maestra Patricia Janeckova, the legendary Slovak soprano who died last year after a heroic battle with cancer.
I think this must be the best recording I have found of this performance. As I write this, it is just 2 weeks short of 10 years since this event - just where has that time gone ? I am so grateful for all the joy that Jackie has given to so many, seeing and hearing her performances since then.
The woman's voice coming from this little girl is some of the finest you'll find anywhere. Ppl talking about recording quality, her sleeves and choir singer activities? 68 'thumbs down'? It seems there's at least 68 people with something deeply wrong with them.
Those 68 people must be really bitter. Even if a person doesn't like what Jackie sings, NO ONE can fault her performance.Please, all you religious people, say a prayer for those 68.
This child is unique and a gift from God. She has gone on too be a huge star and remains humble. Beautiful and with elegance and Grace She has a stunning voice even as a child. God has blessed her with with this wonderful voice and for the whole world too listen too.
Each time I watch this performance I get the sense of witnessing a miracle, a moment we may not see again, it shouldn't be possible what she does, yet there she is, doing it. It touched my life, resuscitated Hope...and it is marvelous in our eyes. Dear Child.
And at the end of such a spectacular performance she seems to be really delighted and a little bit embarrassed with the gift of a few flowers. A very humble and delightful girl.
Hearing this little girl with her amazing voice never fails to bring tears of joy. Superlatives still do not convey her stupendous talent. She is heaven sent.

This was probably my favorite song from the start of being in my mother's womb. I have loved it as long as I can remember. (no, we weren't catholic) How could I expect the most perfect version would come from an 11 yr old child? God is amazing! And the gift of music makes everything so...tolerable.
These are the kinds of songs I prefer Jackie sing and that I want to hear on her CD's. I think these songs bring out the best voice she has for singing. She is truly a blessing from God and I hope her career continues to grow.

The things that are happening in the world today are to some, perhaps, apocalyptic. I don't think the end times are here, yet. I believe God has given us this child to comfort us. I have never seen, heard or witnessed anything that has moved me so. I weep tears of joy when I hear her sing. I believe, too, that we are witness to an astounding moment in musical history. May God Bless this child and all that see and hear her.
The choir has the benefit of the words and musical notes to guide them. Jackie sang for nearly an hour without a prompter. She has the most acute mind for memorizing words and music of anyone I have ever witnessed. If a superlative word were to exist beyond prodigy, only Jackie Evancho's name would appear in Wikipedia with that description.
I'm fifteen and classically trained, and I still can't sing this good, but I'm okay knowing that. Jackie is so good, and she really deserves this. I can't even describe the sensation that happens in my mind when I listen to her. Her singing is so beautiful. I can't wait to see her in Ravinia!! I'm so excited!
