Jackie continues to keep her fans on the edge of our seats - one amazing accomplishment after another! And she does so much to help worthy causes, too, like animal protection, world hunger, clean water. She is extraordinary!
Nothing will ever alienate Jackie Evancho's true fans and admirers. They have been with her since the beginning and will remain totally loyal. She accepts her parts (contracts) after reviewing all of the particulars with her father and mother and then makes the final decision herself. She lives for her music and for any other performance that will require her to use all of her talents. She could care less about anything political at this stage of her life.
Her list for her resume just seems to blossom does it not. Surely this young lady has been blessed beyond her wildest dreams, and what a blessing for us all to witness her amazing talents.
I have not seen any of her regular fan base say anything but praise for her role and her performance as seen so far in the clips. For most fans the emphasis is on her emotional delivery; she's a child who lost her mother and misses her father. There is nothing controversial about her role. Her promoting it on TV has nothing to do with her personal opinion about the politics, which I doubt she even fully understands.

My .. what a difference a few months makes!!! She's "only" 13 (in a few days) but she's clearly turning into a young lady ... She soon can't be considered a "child prodigy." Well, we won't support or love her any less. She's a charming, personable and still humble young lady. I hope that never leaves her though she'll have to find her own way .. the same as any other teen!
How unfortunate for some of her fans to politicize her role as a child playing a child in a movie that does not particularly approve or disprove the radical movement that surfaced during those times. The movie is based on history, and as we all know Washington, Jefferson, and Adams were also considered radicals during their time. Jackie is clearly a talented child whose own deeds include taking better care of our planet. Please read the book before condemning the innocent.
I agree, this shouldn't be viewed as a political maneuver. I'm focusing on Jackie and her performance and her role as an actress, even if I don't agree with the politics. In addition, the interview didn't focus on the message of the movie or anything like that, but on Jackie and her career.
you took the words right out of my mouth. love jackie, but wish she wouldn't promote these movie that is so politically charged. jackie is too pure to be tainted by such politics.
I agree, it would have been hard for Jackie to turn down the offer. I don't blame her for doing it, but obviously Jackie's parents were involved in making the decision and had to consider the repercussions. It's too bad that the movie is extremely politically controversial and that she is promoting it by doing interviews with liberal journalists who are using Jackie to push their ideological agenda (aka stephanopolous). This alienates fans when artists/singers do politically-charged work.
I doubt Jackie has much of an opinion or knowledge about the politics represented in the movie. Her main interest was that she got to act with a legendary actor and director in a major movie that is and will help her career. She was only 11 years old when she did her role in the movie. Too young to understand the political and social backdrop.
You really don't think Jackie fully understands the social and political complexities of the movie. I'm sure she has some understanding of the background but her willingness to act in the movie had nothing to do with her beliefs....I don't think she had any as it relates to the movie.
