Oh my, Jackie, what a wonderful memory of your beautiful 2017 China performance! Thank you for sharing it with us, once again; it also served to bring back wonderful memories of my many trips to China! GBY, our sweet angel of music! 🎤 🎼 👏 🎉 🔥
Even though this is a repost, I have to say that I love and will always love immeasurably your classic crosover songs... I swear hearing you sing 12 years ago was the best thing that could have happened to me in my life...
@@fredbloggs6080 Yes, in January 2012 when she gave a command performance for the Emperor and the Imperial family, performances in concert with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, performances in concert in Hiroshima and an interview and performances on Japanese television
An equestrian show "Troy" in China at the "Birds Nest" Beijing. Jackie did the theme song, and this is the press event before the first show. Hundreds of thousands attended the performances. Horses, over the moon fun for 19yo Jackie.
It appears to be the Chinese logo for the event. much like the mic used by TV commentators with the station logo attached. This was a premier broadcast promotional performance of the song for event officials by Jackie who was invited as ambassador from the U.S.
I've loved Jackie Evancho's Magnificent Voice, since I first heard her sing, at the youthful Age of Ten. She sang Beautifully then, and her Voice has become even more Superb through Time. She's definitely one of those "Special Singer's" whom have been Blessed with a "Gift." Thank You so much for sharing this Song. It's almost, as if, this Song could be Classified as a "Power-Ballad." 🥰 💞 🎶 🩷 I sincerely enjoy😮 this Amazing Song; Jackie's Stunning Voice, the Beautifully Meaningful Lyrics, and the Instrumentional Buildup. I, personally, have this CD, so I can enjoy listening to this Particular Song; now, even moreso. It is truly Special. TY. 😉🎙💖🎶😍🌹👏🏻👏🏻
Wow! You really surprised me with this song, Lovely Jackie.💕 it's So wonderful voice ♥️plus your magnificent sweet smile that I saw. It’s so Brilliant 💕♥️♥️♥️
I'm happy that she came back to this kind of music. Still a beautiful lady. Had a picture taken with her in 2011, think she was like 10 and sang beautifully in concert.
This was Jackie's performance for the TROY international horse show in Beijing, China in 2017. The song was written specifically for the event, and Jackie was invited as ambassador from the U.S. to perform it for the promotional. Her recording is on RU-vid.
She has not left this kind of music. She continues to sing her classical crossover repertoire in her concerts. Jackie has been an exceptionally versatile vocalist having recorded multiple genres since age 10.
@@cl9786 There for a while she was singing different type of "music". That's what I was talking about. Different strokes for different folks. I didn't realize this was an older post.
@@leastcoast5606 She's been singing different types of music since she was 10 years old, her latest album being a tribute to Joni Mitchell's music, folk pop/jazz. She has sung opera, classical, Broadway, symphonic metal, jazz, pop ballads, movie themes, contemporary pop, country, even rock music. Look up her performances on The Masked Singer season 3 as Kitty -"All performances and reveal".
@@rickallanolsen That is NOT a fact. but a personal opinion. Set Me Free is part of her classical crossover repertoire, and yet you come to this video, having watched it 7 years ago, to disparage her? This is her channel and she reads these comments, you know?......"Jackie's music went to hell" is a disparaging remark. What is the matter with you? Disparage: "regard or represent as being of little worth".
Her whole musical style has changed from this prior performance...Artists have the "Creative right" to change their styles and content...I know she has been through some very challenging personal times with anorexia, etc. When I listened to her recent material, singing with an older man playing guitar, I thought. "Has that flower faded"? But I did enjoy her not-so-long album rendition of Joni Mitchell's songs. Jackie was in the spotlight since she was a little girl amazing singer, it is understandable that by the time she was 19 or so, she may have gone through a burnout of sorts. Also her performance of more pop-style songs on the "Masked Singer" was impressive! Here's to Jackie, whatever she does musically and in life!
Her musical style changed only with respect to her original songs. soon to be released on an EP. The "recent material" is her first original release, Behind My Eyes, written and composed by her alone, and accompanied by her producer on the guitar in a live performance. The song, which is alternative pop, is currently #17 on the Adult Contemporary radio Top 50 chart having debuted at #45 in late February. It's #23 on the Billboard AC chart and #20 on iHeart AC radio chart. She said, alternative pop is just the way I write, and it's suits the character of her songs which are deeply personal and honest, reflecting her experience with mental illness associated with her eating disorder. It was Joni Mitchell's story and music that inspired Jackie to begin writing her own songs. The flower has not faded. To the contrary, it is beginning to blossom as a singer/songwriter/composer and co-producer of her own music. She continues to perform her classical crossover repertoire in concert with the same classical crossover style she is known for. Contrary to the assumption she had "gone through a burnout" at 19, her Masked Singer performances were and opportunity to shed the long-held image of her as the 10 year old opera singer which has always been an erroneous label attached to her. She sang pop, country, pop ballads, Broadway and jazz in disguise to fool the judges who would likely have guessed who she was had she sung classical songs or demonstrated her signature soprano register. Consequently, no one guessed her identity through 8 outstanding performances. Immediately following, she performed 3 back-to-back classical crossover concerts in Utah and Colorado just prior to the pandemic having shut the doors to music halls around the country. Her tribute album to Joni Mitchell followed her year-long absence dealing with a serious relapse of anorexia requiring professional care, along with other complications.
Ummm. I think Jackie knew that she would be part of the horse show promotion. She accepted to sing. They didn't kidnap her. So...for the few comments that are saying that the mic logo and such are in bad taste...please learn about what is being presented here and why.
hello there this is the end i'm not here by any right but when i go there will be no one missing i am lost in air and light but the dead do not rise again now for the show we remember the old. those that have passed before us and as we go on our way never meeting with them again we go on their journey alone with no one and as we wait we find our way that we should leave but no foot can land on the path because we can't get out of the couch i have a beanbag chair with your name on it but besides that we have nothing to say now as we leave as you have seen before i offer you this but do not know close your mind and take my cult aside as you smile and say i said so

It IS a little large! Lol. There's this gorgeous angel standing up there and singing with her sweet angelic voice, wearing a beautiful dress, and then she is holding this giant square that covers 1/3 of her beautiful face 🤭. Of course she sings and looks phenomenal anyway. It has just always made me chuckle a little each time that I have watched it
It was during the TROY International Horse Show event in Beijing, China in June, 2017 where she was ambassador from the U.S.....performing this original song written for the event.
