I LOVE the head drum major. He is very, very good. I look at the drum majors for the 2019-2020 and I love them too but there's something about this drum major that made them pop!!
I can tell this head DM has had his sights on being a DM since he was a kid. Probably knew every gotdamn step, twirl, and dip by the time it came to audition. All he had to do was show up. It shows.

It's amazing what the power of 1 man, 1 whistle has in the hbcu band world. Not a band director in sight. What a honor and privilege to be in that amount of leadership and control. Head DM✊🏾

This is a Step band., as opposed to a walking precision band like OHS (drum major entrance like a sperked chicken on speed) with tiny steps, big on formations. Step bands entertain. The oldest, the first, and the beginner of Step Bands is Alabama State University Marching Yellowjackets, Montgomery,AL.
What you’ll really sleeping on is that the boom is being powered by only four snares!!!👀 The whipping!!! Fewest number I’ve even seen us have snare wise...
i love that these DMs don't keep looking back like they are not sure the rest of the band is following them. Looks so bad when the DMs keep looking back. JUST MARCH!! WHAT ELSE CAN THEY DO BUT FOLLOW?
Sharon Snider they move there heads when they dance so it looks like there looking back but there really not ....plus they been entering that stadium for years ....why would it be necessary for the drum majors 2 look back ...smh
They don’t march in with no type of precision anymore after 2015 they feel off and lost number never have WT marched with 4 snares back before this they were at least 13 snares deep
I see a lot of bands trying to duplicate every aspect of this band. Why aren't the drum majors wearing their hats? I noticed sometimes they don't march in with them on
Always 1 low rated individual(s) putting down the sister. I live in the 19th century and now retired in the 20th century shit ain't changed. Seeing racism and being on the front line of change and choice you youngblood better get off the boat and get on the ship. Black Colleges was the institute in my opinion and still is go to the white house institute and see if black culture is taught, understanding me now.
