@@thejfrd2490 my son in law works for AMR here in Phoenix AZ. He has been there 20 years. Just graduated Nursing school 2 years ago and and works on a critical care ambulance . Love our first responders.❤️❤️❤️
I couldn't believe there were actually people still alive in these vehicles. You guys are beyond amazing...I have never seen anything like this in my over 65 yrs on this planet....THANK YOU....Total Respect for all of you!
@@metarugia3981 We as first responders are bound by HIPAA laws...I have lived all that gore for the past 24 years, we are not trying to gross people out.
@@thejfrd2490 I was responding to OP, in that I've seen much worse than what these videos show. But yeah, you guys being first responders are on the front lines and witness first hand the brutality of motor vehicle accidents. First responders have my utmost respect in what they do, as these professions are not for everyone. I think there should be more channels like yours to educate the public and promote safe driving, because there's nothing that hits harder than reality itself. There's just way too many drivers on the roads not using common sense and logic, which could prevent and avoid a lot of these accidents we see.
A firefighter with 42 years of experience was very impressed with the coordinated effort to extricate the patients. A while back had a pickup truck that ran into rear of dump truck. Driver was so tied up we had to cut through the firewall to release his legs. Had another triple fatal where we had to use two winch systems to straighten out the vehicle enough to remove the patient. His leg went out the window, around a stop sign and back in the window. He lost an arm and a leg but living today as result of amazing effort of US and Japanese firefighters! Keep in mind that extrication is literally removing the vehicle from the patient, not the patient from the vehicle.
Wow, I never thought of extrication as you worded it! Removing the car from the human being and not the other way around! Major thanks to these amazing professionals whom work so hard to save our lives! ❤
Yea. Had one where we literally cut the driver's seat out of the car and then pulled the car away from it leaving it sitting in place on block in the road due to the driver having sever spinal pain and obvious pelvic injuries. 80+ years old, so we just removed the compact car from around her. THEN gently extricated her straight to the helicopter's stretcher. Moved her 1 time only on scene. Turned out she had fractures at C 3&4, T 4&5, and L 1&2, plus a two-inch pelvic separation. Also 3 cracked ribs and a hairline femur fracture. Never forget that call. It was also a double fatality. Occupants of the other vehicle died at the hospital despite all we and the ER could do for them.
I'm a mom but the pride I felt watching all of these first responders today brought tears to my eyes. You are very much appreciated even if you are not told by the public, we really do appreciate y'all. 😊❤
These first responders are a gift from God and should always be praised for the work they do and how they try so hard to save the victims...thank you so much for being the people you are.
I almost lost my life in Jax in 1996 on that same road, the same day I was discharged from the military, spent a week in ICU, I still have the surgery scars that remind me I'm lucky to be alive.
These guys are really good at what they do. Communicating with minimal drama have the incredible skill set of keeping the injured connected while the time passes.
My home town Fire and Rescue. They saved my wife and unborn child 21 years ago. I was not home when my wife went into labor 2 months early. I bring them gifts every year. Even though some of them were not even born at the time. I am forever grateful for their service and dedication.
Until watching RU-vid and coming across this site I never realised what a totally amazing job these Fire department guys do. This scene was amazing those cars it’s a wonder they survived. ❤❤❤
Awesome job JFRD. I love the way you’ll work so well together. Thanks for all you do. God Bless You All. Praying all the patients are ok. My Uncle Charlie Corbin was instrumental in the invention of the jaws of life.
50 YRS in Nursing (ER, Critical Care, etc) - Admin/ER - I have watched about 6 of your videos - JFRD is at the TOP of the game. WHAT professionalism, hussle with purpose, attention to details, WORKING AS A COORDINATED TEAM, admins on scene involved, equipment comes/goes swiftly as needed. I HAVE to believe your 'save' rate (critical patients) is Very High. I have so much respect for professionals who treat their roles as just that - Professionals (whether volunteers or not). BRAVO ZULU TO ALL!
Appreciate this very much...since this wreck, we have added Critical Care rescue units to the city...this in itself is increasing our success rater of saves.
I live close to a fire station and I-5 so every time I hear a siren I say a prayer for the first responders and those they are going to help. My prayer life has been very busy!
God Bless the men and women on the first responders crew. The things they see must be horrific at times. But they are like a well-oiled machine when it comes to extrication.
I Love all firefighters and 1st responders. My husband was a firefighter for 38 years and I lost him in 2012 from cancer. I have no regrets as far as his occupation. My husband loved his job . Just wasn't ready for him to leave me, he was only 59. Love my Fire Department family that still checks in on me ❤
God it's good thank you father for keeping this guys in such horrible accident, thank you first responders and everyone who works in this fields God bless you and keep you safe,I know that it is traumatizing to see people injured so bad,God bless you always 😊 ❤️
You can always tell how hard something is by how many tools are brought out. Bad wreck for sure. Great effort by fire and EMS. These guys know what they're doing.
@@thejfrd2490 No. We only respect firemen. They have never been abandoned us when we are in dangerous situations. The other departments are the Trators of our city that as like the government that sell and betray us.
What an unbelievalbe job you do - my father-in-law was a firefighter and I never realized the trauma you all see first hand and how you handle a situation like this. We are truly blessed to have people like you who will take on such a difficult job. I kept thinking while watching this how hot you must be in your gear.
Good job to this brave firemen's and ambulance nurses you did a complicated situation kudos to all of you God Bless all of you sir's stay safe always👏👏👏
WOW amazing and major KUDO's to all the JFRD and medical personnel who worked tirelessly to extricate these two guys from a really bad day for both of them. God speed for recovery for ALL involved!!! 🤕
Such great work. Patience with expertise, all the way to the organized clean up. Now all ready for the next emergency. Those victims will live because of this crew’s expertise.
I watched in Amazement on how there was very little communication between everyone! Just show how good you guys REALLY are! You guys an gals deserve all the praise in the world!@!
Dear God, please bring all your healing to both people. Provide comfort and guidance to their family and friends. Thank you for such great men and women who work with such dedication and talent. I don't have all the right words to express how awed I am by the incredible first responders. Thank you for giving us such an intimate look at the men and women who work so hard to save lives. ❤❤❤ I wish y'all well.😊
I have been in a traffic accident where they used the Jaws of Life to get me & my parents out. You're right, that the emergency workers don't get enough praise for their efforts. God bless them!!
First responder here Australia SES State Emergency Services) I specialized as a ( RCR ) Road Crash Rescue technician, nice work indeed by both teams especially the pillar cuts and roof removal done that more times than I care to remember , I would be proud to work with either of those teams.
The training and practice drills of these men is so very apparent in this video. Calm, coordinated and effective with everyone clearly very skilled. Amazing equipment they know how to use.
Amazing team work. People don't realize how much training that ya'll go through. And why you need to be physically fit. I don't think you can ever train for the Florida heat.
Wow...is all I can say. I never seen such a job before, and I am just amazed how great these guys performed their work. Thank you, men and women, for all your hard work, and I sure hope it was all to the benefit of your patients that day.
She is probably one of the department Public Information Officers. I would rather see her give a report like this than stand there in tears and cry the whole time.
Kudos to all of you emergency workers. The hard work and dedication towards helping others is beyond all gratefullness we could possibly give to you. My prayers go out to all who selflessly sacrifice themselves to help others who may not otherwise survive. Thank you for all of your difficult and hard work. You are all amazing!!
Thanks for all your work! All the devices that have developed over the years not only to survive these collisions but to make it to the hospital by all the care and efforts of the firemen and EMTs to do the rescue. Old RN/EMT/Vol
Do you guys not have heavy rescue/USAR companies? I would have thought that for complex extrications like this you wouldn't have just truck companies doing it...
@@jmWhyMe we have squads, special ops, and USAR technicians spread out through the city. Just because you didn't see them does not mean they weren't there.
@@thejfrd2490 let me be more specific. I have been to many USAR scenes. USAR crews typically have rescue helmets, USAR emblazoned on their turnouts, and they use their tools, not Truck tools. In this video, you had to wait for L1 to arrive to start the second extrication. If USAR were there, they would have already been on it...
Amazing team! I cannot believe anyone survived those accidents. While watching these extractions I kept thinking about all the training these firefighters must go through to be ready and able to know how to so quickly assess the situation and then execute as a team working in such close proximity to each other with such care and precision. I have total respect for these brave and dedicated heroes!! Thank you!!
Fantastic job to these first responders with a very difficult situation. I did this briefly back in the mid 80s and every accident is different. I hope these people recover soon and this was a great video showing how hard it is to remove someone from a vehicle you have to use brute force but need to be delicate at the same time risking more injuries. Thank you JFRD for your selfless dedication to save people from these horrific accidents.
Wow. What a complicated situation. These people are so strong so dedicated, Some how they set chaos back and keep moving forward. Never say no to one of these people. They are wonderful.
Those poor people may have life changing injuries. It’s tough to think of what these poor people went through and what lies ahead for them. Just a miracle they survived!! Thank you to all the hard working well trained rescue personnel for pulling this rescue off with all that was involved. So professional!
Great cohesiveness guys… smooth, compassionate extrication. I haven’t forgotten the horrific accident; those injured or their loved ones. It’s disturbing to all involved. God bless everyone.
As a wife/widow of former JFRD fireman of over 32 years it is very hear warming the skill & dedication that is shown in this job. First reasponders are amazing.
Ive just found your channel and wow, what a team you have. Your videos should be made essential viewing for anyone thinking of becoming a firefighting on how to deal with incidents like this. Also major kudos on replying to messages as well. It shows manners and consideration to those who post a message. Thank you.
