I can relate to Julia’s anxiety over thinking she lost the cats over her email. If I had sent a calm email I would have worried that they would think I wasn’t enthusiastic enough to be a good pet owner and if I sent a really enthusiastic email I’d think they thought I was too unstable.

Technically there are different sets of primary colours for different purposes, Red-Yellow-Blue is for pigmented materials, or "additive" blending, but Red-Green-Blue is used for digital displays and is how human corneas interpret light waves, which is "subtractive" blending. And then there's Cyan-Magenta-Yellow, which is essentially a digital version of RYB that allows for more defined colours (cyan and magenta are shades of blue and red, if it wasn't obvious) And that was my much too long rant about colours!

Regarding the cats (at 19:00) -- one of our cats is friendly, social, and a big ole doofus. The other one is shy, reserved, and cautious (at first). Sort of like Joy and Olive. So we named the other one "Cheetah," which is phonetically about the same as Qita ... a Chinese phrase which means ... "the other one." We haven't told him that's what his name means. Shhhh...

Fun fact, you can combine Magenta and yellow to make red and cyan and yellow make blue. So red and blue, in pigment, are not technically primary colors.

Can I just say that blue is actually a really good color to paint bedroom walls. Cold colors encourage a person to calm down. All the suggestions for orange sound crazy to me because orange is a color that promotes activity and hunger, its why so many restaurants make use of it.

I once had a teacher who was colourblind and our entire class majored in art, so a lot of fun things happened, but the one I remember the most vividly, is him constantly just coming in saying "Oh, we're especially colourful today" or something along those lines, because like 70% of us were goths and emo kids and then there were like 3 girls who actually wore colourful clothes. I know this is an old vod but Julia hearing you talk about your struggles with anxiety makes me feel not so alone in my very similar bad brain, and I just...thank you for being brave and talking about it freely. It's uncommon for me to find a person who has that particular "everything is your fault SPIRAL" you talked about here, and ever since I found Drawfee/SSS years ago I've felt less alone. You've become so much more confident since these old videos and overall seem happier, and boy that gives me hope that I'll get there one day. If you see this, keep fighting the good fight, you're absolutely killing it! Jacob you're killing it too, and seeing how you support Julia is a constant reminder that, even with a busted brain, people shouldn't be treating me like I'm less than human. You are so genuinely kind and accept Julia no matter where her head's at, and that's honestly helped me realize I need to prune a few weeds from my social circle. I'm re-learning how to socialize after some STUFF, and you've seriously helped me figure it out with how chill and confident you are, esp when it comes to saying bad/wrong things (seriously, the way you roll with the punches is incredible). You're both amazing, thank you for mixing in some truly great lessons with content that cracks me up even on rough days.

I just have to say. As a person a colorblind person it's nice knowing that Jacob is colorblind. While never feeling limited by my colorblindness it's nice seeing people working in a field that I would normally think would be hard for people that are colorblind.

I took the longest thing of freaking notes in my life. They look me 2 hours! 2 hours!!!! Like what the heck!!!! This made for wonderful like background noise though, 100/10 beautiful, would come again.

Tbh, the best color on the wall is Pink! Pink is a very calming colour to for the brain and has been shown to make people relaw the best; this is also the reason why it's the color of lust! Please keep in mind that this information is from about a year ago when I was really interested in color theory :)

"They don't respond to their name anyways" NOT TRUE. my cat responds to her name, my boyfriend and i had a whole discussion about this when we adopted her. she had 3 or 4 different names written on her papers, so bf suggested just calling her whatever we wanted, she won't respond to her name anyways. i told him, she does, so he did an experiment, calling her the different names on her papers. "Sho Pao" no response "Silver Puff" no response "Lark" no response "Suki" Suki looks up at him and it wasn't just that one time either, she responds to her name all the time when i call her or talk to her. so, cats do respond to their name.

I was cleaning my glasses when Julia shaved the first window and when she said “looks it’s a little wiener!” I immediately shoved them back onto my face so I could see it.
