No one told him that other drivers and cars were faster, so he overtook Senna, Prost, Piquet, Villeneuve, Scheckter, Arnoux, Pironi, De Angelis... Quite a collection there.
The Ligiers JS11 and JS11/15 were probably the most elegant-looking F1 cars ever to have graced the sport. That they won races as well, with Jacques and co at the wheel, was an added benefit. The Williams FW09, on the other hand....
Um grande piloto, deu azar de correr por uma equipe com poucos recursos ( Ligier ) e quando correu pela Willians em 1983 não tinha motor e em 1984 era o segundo piloto e não tinha o mesmo tratamento que teve Keke Rosberg... Uma pena...
Things will get better but it will take time. There is a lot of bureaucracy, doctrine and tradition to combat first. F1 has less become a rich mans play-thing and more a sport over time
my bad. i meant to hit up and it wont let me reverse it.. people either forget or never saw him because he had big ones. with villenueve and arnoux. and he was the best in the wet!!!
