As an old Shane fan, I watched his content starting at the age of 10. I never understood his jokes and now as an adult it does disgust me. We all knew he was offensive, but some of the stuff coming out was just vulgar and disturbing. I work with children now, and I would NEVER makes those jokes or anything. There’s a huge difference between ‘edgy humour’ and whatever Shane was doing. The types of jokes that he enjoyed making are signs of some seriously dark things within him. He clearly had some form of hate or prejudice within him which is why he made these racist jokes so frequently. And with the creepy jokes about children, I don’t want to accuse him of anything because I don’t fully know, but the fact that he made these jokes so often, even involving actual kids in them, is a sign that he has some serious psychological issues. We need to stop babying him. It’s time that he faced up to his problems and actually got help. He’s hurt too many people. I can’t even imagine what the smiths and the kids in those other clips are going through because of this.
