Frankly couldn’t care less about the armour set, but love Jagex listening to the community (when actually constructive and not toxic AF) and then communicating back to players

Cares more about fixing an override than fixing customer support response.

They were able to respond quickly because they have a massive MTX team shoveling out armour models that making minor changes (mostly zapping off some of the added plates) is relatively trivial. They also probably had several iterations that were proposed during development they are just going back to instead. Reminder, this update was primarily an MTX update, so they could sell a recolor. Seriously, you could teach someone without a college degree to make these changes in a few days; hours for someone that knows what they're doing. I did it modding Oblivion in high school.

Different story similar result, I recently couldn't do the new quest due to a client issue and of course I reported the issue. This time round though I was contacted in less than a day and got the issue resolved in no time :) If you do see this one, thank you for listening and helping

This is good, however I noticed you made a a point that they are doing this JUST for a armour set, however it is because they have to know what people visually like, so they can better MTX in the future. There's a paid version of this set as well, which I assume had less interact than normal.

They should have put the old pernix next to their update post so you can compare between old pernix, the update, and their work in progress.

Great video! We need more creators to highlight when Jagex does something in the right direction instead of only negative content. Keep up the good work.

From what I hear though people like that the Jagex Launcher doesn't have a lot going on to slow it down. So there should be a careful balance between keeping it smooth and adding stuff that can just be done without

A appreciate them taking feedback and giving a quick turnaround, too bad it is for MTX content. Wish we had this with some of the content updates, instead of the current system which is fix this thing 2 months later. I really want Jagex to succeed because I love this game, but it is hard not to be cynical.

They're essentially forcing some people into using overrides if they otherwise wouldn't have. (Assuming they don't like the changes at the end result)

The main issue with the TH promo you need to spend like 400+ keys to even hit the amount of 8 for 1 shard, so it's a massive joke they forcing people to buy keys to complete the TH promo for the new outfit. Makes me sick. Toxic company

My jagex launcher has been working on and off lately. Some days I can’t log in, others I can for a few hours

i rolled the pernix token yesterday, was happy to see it was 2B ! yeahhh... it sold eventually for 350m LOL

personally i think metal finishes on range/mage armour make very little sense, these would be people who'd want to be light & agile, with a big range of mobility, heavy plate armour would significantly reduce one's mobility range and would increase stamina cost (not to mention drawing a bow when you have several kilos of plate armour on your arm is gonna be more difficult). range armour is also supposed to be weak to melee weapons so having a metal plate makes very little sense in that regard too.

This is good but I sadly think this is the only type of content they have agency on and what they can adress fast

I don't see them releaseing a whole post about something as minor as an armor overide as a "positive" that shows how much they care that they are getting feedback on the little things. I see it as a symptom of a gutted development team. They literally don't have anything else to talk about, because they are doing nothing to update the game in any meaningful way.

I vote we have in game polls again. They mentioned it and it needs to happen. Also don't stop with them, they should be permanent and should actually be taken seriously. I said before TH doesn't bother me, if they were to show that the revenue was going back into the game, instead of all the focus being on TH. MTX isn't bad if it doesn't affect the game in a way that makes it impossible to play without, which I argue you can easily do without buying any keys. Make the game the main focus and people will spend money to support it. Sure Whales have deep pockets, but imagine if the game drew in a bigger audience with quality content.

Why didn't they just make the modified graphics into an override? And screw discord and reddit. They don't even have notifications telling us the servers are down for maintenance on their homepage. That is quite frankly lazy and pathetic.

Why is it always a “win” for them when they backpedal? Wouldn’t a win be not fucking something up for once? That said - the old one is an override anyways so I’m not sure why people are crying about the new look when the old one is literally right there for free.

only the fact they are listening to the player base is all thats good from this, but now we know they didnt listen properly the last time. its just another BS money grab from them, right after the player base said hey too much MTX CRAP and not enough actual content, so before we get any content. along come another BS money grab, which proves they didnt actually listen to the players and the players said NO THANKS to TH cosmetics, and for them to make them earnable in game, all we see is GIVE ME YOUR MONEY, GRAB GRAB GRAB

I want a new area with good replyable content and new monsters and new quests 🤷🏻‍♂️ mtx and cosmetics are crap

they only listen to people on reddit and x... can they put anything in their jagex launcher. i can not stand anything on reddit or x and i think using those platforms for the "majority" voice is awful.

Runescape 3 players hsve the worst case of stockholm syndrome. Weeks and months of complaining and feeling cheated, then ONE "magical" update that restores all faith in the company. Kinda crazy lol.
