al graza, I am an American, that's where I happen to have been born. However, I resent your implications that I have no culture, roots, or history. On the contrary, I live in the city that arguably was the birth place of the mass production automobile. I would definitely assert that we have a very strong sense of those values here. As for the fuel economy, while someone who buys a Jaguar may not care about it, it's part of our job as automotive journalists to provide each car's facts and stats.
Good review young man. Keep it up. I'm going to buy one of these in the next year. I wanted a sports car like a porche cayman but this is more practical for everyday use. That pop up knob had me.
Thank you very much, glad that you enjoyed it. Yeah, the Cayman is fun, but not always the most practical! This is nice sporty car though too, I'm sure that you'll like it alot. I agree about the dial, I think it's all of the little details that make a luxury car.
It doesnt matter where they placed the washer nozzles for the windshield, when you are driving and clean the window, the water will eventually begin to leak down the windows.
The 2012 headlamp design was actually introduced back in 2007 on the C-XF concept which complimented the car's overall design very well. It was a gorgeous car. But I don't know why Jaguar came up with the previous production model's hideous headlamps which, IMO, was an insult to the car. I'm glad they've reverted (wouldn't say updated) back to the original design.
Actually the XJL which is the car I was talking about weighs 5,149 and the XF 5,071. And the base XJ weighs 5,072 and the base XF weighs 5,071. So no, I'm correct the XF weighs less.
I agree 100% about the v8 growl. Drove a faster car twin turbo v6 but that experience is not as fun to drive when hearing that V8 rumble tearing up the streets...even at slow speeds.
Actually, a few years ago new emissions regulations came into effect in the U.S. and we have mandatory 4 cylinder models now in addition to the others.
Nice Video and thanks for posting. it is Jag-u-ar. having said that i did buy the car after this review. as for the wipers it is a good idea as i do car detailing and can spend hours cleaning and polishing the thing just for when i use the screen wash the head light washer splashes all over the bonnet, dam it. kind regards
XF is not "much lighter" then XJ. It's not lighter at all. XJ is made from aluminum, and that's why it's about the same weight or even a litle bit liter then XF
American Jaguars are not proper Jaguars they are made in America where as Jags in say England or New zealand are British made this is why Jags in America generally get poor reviews because they aren't proper jags
I can not find any evidence that any current Jaguar automobile is built outside of the United Kingdom. Although, I understand that they are soon opening a plant in India for the domestic market.
ah... no for the US market they have Jaguar plants in America i don't know where exactly because it has to be left hand drive also the company is owned by TATA so of course they are going to open a plant in india that's why i wont buy a modern jag out of principle not until England or Germany buys back Daimler Jag America can say its British made because all the parts are made in England but its assembled in America and they generally do an inferior job to England no offence but you can go ahead and like Jags all you want but i probably know more about them than you do my Family collects them from the Jaguar SS to the XJ220
indeed Everyone has there own criteria for determining whether they should purchase a car, I'm not arguing with you. However, as I said before, I simply cannot find any evidence that any current Jaguar model is assembled in the United States. If you do discover the location of such a plant, I would genuinely appreciate it if you would share that location with me.
indeed There is no evidence because there is no American Jaguar plant. They are built in the UK. The majority of Jaguars are left hand drive because China is its biggest export market.
