The Jaguar XJ6 was the first production saloon car to be fitted with ER/70VR15 tyres. THe XJ6 ER/70VR15 tyres are exactly the same as a 205/70VR15 tyre, throughout the production of the classic Jaguar XJ6 series 1 series 2 and series 3 XJ6, Jaguar stuck to fitting 205/70R15 tyres. In the 1970s they moved on to fitting 205/70R15 Pirelli P5. Jaguar have again asked Pirelli to make the P5 again and Jaguar have homologated it with the J, as the recomended jaguar XJ6 tyres.
Pirelli also make 225/65 R15 P5 XJ40 tyres & 215/70R15 Jaguar XJ12 tyres.
