Not looking too bad. Can see where the brake fluid has been leaking looking at the run marks that have stripped the paint on the inner wing. More progress mate, well done 👍
Cheers, John, more stuff is done as you say. Hopefully, I will get onto the rest over the next few days. Those runs do point towards the master cylinder / servo area, so I had better have a butchers up in there 😉
Hi Simon, Loving the XKR videos. Looks good in the front wheel arch 👍 I’m sure you know this but check for corrosion behind the front subframe where the top wishbone bushes are. My T reg was rotted behind there, but hopefully with yours being stood for 10 year, it should be okay. Keep up the good work 👍
Hi Gary, good to hear from you, and I'm glad you are enjoying the videos. I really appreciate your tips, and I will make sure I get in behind every nook and cranny rhat u can to clean it all up. Thank buddy, Simon.
I'm surprised that those slide pins are Torx. Both our Jaguars are Allen but maybe there was some variation between models. EDIT: Just got to the bit where you show the pin to the camera and they do look like Allen rather than Torx ...... I'm confused. Richard
Hi Richard, Good to hear from you, buddy. I have just rechecked my pins, and they are definitely torx bits. Maybe they changed over the years as you first suggested? Cheers, Simon.
@@projectsinthebarn OK. That's very interesting, Simon. I'll watch out for that when I'm working on Jags in the future and won't assume that they will be Allen. Many thanks. Richard
