I still remember the first time I saw this from wean I was a kid. I had the same expression as Jak at the time, It completely blew my mind. Now it’s just hilarious.
The fact that this came after the most heartbreaking moment in the series was genius. The tears were genuine, then this scene helped us by cheering everyone up. Brilliant work. 😁
Personally I actually think it was the best thing they could have done to the series and I don't understand why some people hated it and when they went into the fan fiction they literally tried to rewrite this out of existence. It makes the entire series worth it.
Wait, what about the precursor stone being an egg in 2 tho? These are mammals and the projection was just for show, so if it was just an MP3/Light show player with a lot of power, that means the Barons bomb plan wasn't actually a bad idea at all.
No it still certainly was a stupid idea Even if the egg wasn't a baby blue eco God or some shit I'm sure it still would have blown up half the planet with how powerful the stone was
Tbh I liked this more than the precursors being these beings of pure light/eco cause it makes a bit more sense On top of that it adds a nice bit of irony for Samos and a rather cool feeling that jak (the guy who can channel the abilities of eco) this entire time had a precursor riding on his shoulder Looking deeper into the lore the guy who saved the world once all those years ago comes back as a grown man to build an amazing city then dissappears leaving his younger self to come to that very city and save it twice all while a precursor rides on his shoulder and no one ever realizes it
These plot was planned since the first game Samos tells you in the intro of pl that otsels are the precourser if you dont like the plot you dont like the whole series
