The most dangerous thing about visiting Jamaica is that you will leave a piece of your heart there and take some of Jamaica with you. The beauty and charm of the island are wonderful. Seeing starving dogs and cats there is not. There is plenty of food in Jamaica. There is no reason for any animal to starve. Starving animals detracts from the charm of the island.

@nevadadavoode83

Mey Bbobb You’re comment is proof you’re close minded, and manipulated to think that about white people. Since I’m sure you’re not white think of it this way. If you’ve been manipulated to think that, than it means there are many more people with the same background as you that think that about white people. Which makes whatever race you are more close minded and judgmental than whites. It’s sad to see in today’s world that whites are considered all the negatives. While in fact from all the civilizations we’ve had nothing has brought us more prosperity, equality, freedom, and peace more than the Western civilization, which whites are responsible for. And wether people believe in a certain religion or none at all, Christianity and Christian values where used from the start of the Western civilization. USA when it was formed is a perfect example of studying centuries of western laws, and culture, or it’s flaws to create THE best constitutional law. The laws that we are born with and no government can override that law and change it. Unfortunately as it’s well visible especially now, almost from the start there were corrupt, greedy, and evil people in the government that have done terrible things. It of course continued on over the years while at the same time the government got more powerful until were we are now. Which is nothing like what the founding fathers intended it to be, and were so smart that they knew this could happen in the future so they wrote clear constitutional laws to protect ourselves against a government like that. However were humans and there are many things we are obviously superior to compared to animals but just like them we have many flaws mentality and physical that limits us from progressing faster and only thru evolution we have and will be getting better to overcome that flaw. As a result decades ago Americans ignored apparent threats to our liberty and believed in the lies of many people in power, which is one of the biggest flaw humans have. As a result of that we now have a America that’s actually more divided than ever, more than when the US was on the brinks of a civil war. It’s been even more apparent this last four years how badly people are still brainwashed and easily manipulated by the media. With all the true information you can find so quickly on the internet by looking at the right place, we still have millions of people believing in socialism which always leads to communism, people thinking Obama was this perfect, most respected president that did a lot of positives for America and especially minorities, even though Trump is the president that has done the greatest accomplishments for America especially when it comes to the economy, and yes he had already done much more things to help minorities in the first two years than Obama did the eight years, that’s one of the small examples of how bad of a president he was. Not trying to offend you but your comment is proof that you have been manipulated easily as well. Almost everyone is to a certain degree, including me. Thanks to the millions of true American patriots for electing Trump I and many others which is still not enough realized how much more corrupt America is. I’m going to be judgmental here, I don’t know if you live in the US or not, but from my many many experiences people that write comments like that, also hate Trump. Now if you don’t live In the States you won’t know much really, but considering all this allegations that were later proven to be not true and all the laws they tried the things they tried impeach him for which is absolutely unconstitutional with how they’re doing the process. Or always going against any law that puts Americans and our safety first in Congress, or saying he’s not above the law even though if anyone knows the laws knows he hasn’t broken any rules, all the while this people are most corrupt, and greedy people in our government. What amazes me even more so frightens me is that, sorry again but people like you still vote for this people. It still applies if you live in a different country. Many of this hypocrites in government have been in government for decades. There are so many that are so brainwashed and clueless like for example here in California, that they have been voting for them, their family members, and friends for decades without knowing and it still goes on. One thing I forgot to mention earlier is about slavery in the US. I’m almost sure that the reason you think that about whites is because of the history of blacks in America, and not because you just think every race has racist which that is true. Again it’s unfortunate that people like you still think that way because years ago it would be easier to say it’s the government indoctrinating kids to think this way but now as i said it’s a lot easier to find the right information and quickly. First of all the statement that the founding of America is backed by slavery is completely bullshit. The north was doing much better economically than the south, that’s just one of the many reasons. Second the idea that Americans and the founding fathers were all racist is also not true. Did you know when whites went to Africa to get slaves, they were sold to them by other Africans who were of a higher statues. Only that. If you didn’t know again yes black Africans sold black African slaves to the whites. Other things are that in our history it wasn’t only black slaves, there were slaves from all colors, countries, empires, tribes etc. from around the world. Almost all if not all societies had slaves, and many did when America was made, especially tribes, even the native Americans. Guess what this other societies had slavery, the US was founded, slavery was abolished, and the civil rights act was officially law that blacks are equal as whites in the 60s and there were and still are countries that still have slavery. Unfortunately all of them or 90% of them are in Africans countries. Blacks owning slaves that are blacks. This is not to tell you minorities are actually the racists. I’m just trying to say that on purpose and by perfect design in our world the actual problem is 99% of the time not what we are being told, and because of our severe natural flaw we got manipulated very easily for most part of the humans existence. When technology became better which is very recent when you compare the amount that we’ve been around, information was much easier and faster to get but still very easy to control and manipulate. All the great inventions had this same issue, but only the internet was the true game changer in our history of our existence. The reason i made this comment unnecessarily very long is because I’m just sick and tired that it’s 2020 and I’m still seeing people brainwashed on such things as you said which is so easy to know the truth of. I’m especially disappointed of people that live in a western country, or a country that’s not like China, Iran, North Korea, and still be at this level of manipulation. My honest reason for this comment is not to offend you but just be informing, and by that it meant for me to criticize you, and if that offends still offends you, than I don’t care, I’ll just feel even more sad for you that you’re so gone, as if you’re almost a robot.

On what basis are u arguing that Jamaica has a better educational system than the US or Canada? Because they have a university in the top 5 percent of the world? Uhmm if u haven't seen the world university rankings US schools dominate the rankings the make up half of the top ten schools in the world and several others are in the top 1 percent. I've been educated in Jamaica and in North America and I can say that the north american system has its faults but it is an excellent educational system. Jamaicas system could be much much better with better resources. It is good but I wouldn't say it is fair to compare it to the other systems given the resource constraints it faces .

@@balrogboxer5572 It's my opinion based on my observations. Hence I say "I would argue". I don't wanna throw stats around cuz we'll be here all day. But Jamaicans who come abroad to study are much better prepared. Perhaps not more intelligent, but better disciplined, better organized, better time management skills and even social skills in a lot of cases. North American students I find are very unfocused, scattered, preoccupied with other things and unwilling to do the work. They need instant results and instant gratification. So I'm speaking more on the behavioral aspects not the IQ.

The people are SO friendly and SO amazing. I stayed at a resort, but rented a motorcycle one day to go find where Ian Fleming wrote his Bond novels. I found it and it was very cool but...on the way back, I got a little lost. I was driving down a little back road and a rather large local woman wa ed me down. I stopped, not knowing what to expect. She smiled broadly and said, "You are very lost, mon." 🤣 I laughed and said, "YUP!" She laughed as well and gave me directions back to the resort. Amazing experience. I truly love, LOVE Jamaica.

Your so right in regards to foreigners overdoing the Jamaican expressions like "ya Mon" and "wah gwaan". It annoys me sometimes as a local . These words should come freely and not forced not over exaggerated. :)

First let me say this...This man is THE TRUTH! I followed your advice during my trip to Belize and it was SPOT ON! I have enjoyed watching all his videos! Now...my husband is Jamaican. I have visited 9 of the 14 parishes thus far. EVERYTHING he has mentioned is SPOT ON! This is a very comprehensive video. If you follow his advice you not going to go wrong. Jamaica...EVERYTHING about Jamaica is BEAUTIFUL! I guess I can add two things. Please support the people. You have NO IDEA what they face on the day-to-day as far as finances are concerned. I feel if we are going to go love and enjoy Jamaicans home, SUPPORT THEM! Please. That $20 tip will go so far. I am not saying people are helpless by no means, but the service will be impeccable. So just reward that is all I am saying. The other thing I would say is take your mind past the beaches and ask someone to take you to a river. OMG! The cold, beautiful, FRESH river water is my absolute favorite. My husband is from Portland Parish so I have enjoyed the rivers there. It is my happiest place in life. lol And ladies...do not be offended by the admiration you will receive from the local men. From my very first visit there to even now I get a lot of attention. Even with my husband the guys basically tell him he got something here. lol And my husband just smiles and says "bless up". No offense given or taken. So if you tryna get your grove back or been a little down about yourself...go to Jamaica. LOL you will walk away feeling like you Beyonce. LMBO Enjoy Jamaica in all seriousness. I have traveled the world and no other place outside of my home state of Louisiana have I felt so at home:)

You hit the nail on just about everything in this vid and what you started with is truth. Jamaica is a very chill place and they run on island time. They are also some of the kindest people I've ever met on a trip. If you're at a market or tourist area, if you don't want to be bothered just say no thank you. If you need to get around get a driver. You can see the island and if you go into the mountains, trust me you wont like squeezing by a truck on a 1 lane road with a 500ft cliff on your right. Driver rates are pretty cheap and don't forget to tip if you receive any service. It will be greatly appreciated! Have fun out there chilling, eating and looking at the beautiful scenery. Yea mon!

Jamaica is my husband's favorite country to visit. We went water rafting near Falmouth during our honeymoon and had a blast! And yes about the crazy traffic and driving. I remember seeing (very narrow) streets jam-packed with cars and going up a hill on a one-lane road feeling like we were going to fall off because we were so close to the edge. It was by far the scariest car ride I have ever been on. Still had a great time there.

I've been to Jamaica quite a few times - always flying there and usually flying alone. I follow the same safety tips I follow in US big cities and high crime areas. I avoid dark and isolated areas, I only wear jewelry that is obviously fake/cheap. I don't carry a handbag. I keep most of my cash in my shoes or bra (keeping what I need at the moment in my pocket). I was in Kingston once staying with a born and raised middle age/middle class Kingstonian. She laughed at my measures until we went to a festival together. Her money was in a bank envelope at the top of her open-top handbag that she had casually slung on her back. When we went to purchase some food, we found that only one of us had money. I took my shoe off to take enough money from my hidden stash for both of us to eat.

The drive to the plantation was great, country style roads and lots of healthy animals and dogs chillin' out. I really wanted to visit a country side setting, instead of a beach that might have too many tourist. The family that own the farm graciously showed my sister and I their beautiful fruits, flora and fauna; that they cultivate. So many amazing things grow in Jamaica; lots of history too. Thank You Thank you Thank you. This is a very recent review of Jamaica and I so so appreciate the positivity. I grew up there in the 70's, been back a few times to visit last time in early 2000's for my Grandmothers funeral. I am aware how much Jamaica has changed and have always been cautioned that Jamaica is now a very dangerous place to visit. Its always been a "hustle mentality" Island where people work hard and do what they have to to survive, but many people dislike that so therefore they do not recommend visiting the island. To be honest even I have had apprehensions about going for a visit myself. After watching your video I am now motivated to visit the land of my youth within the next two to three years. I am so impressed by your acclimation to the Jamaican lifestyle and your interpretation of why we are one of the happiest people and islands despite poverty and political upheaval. Jamaicans are proud and through the media and some spoiled visitors get a bad reputation. Yes there are some bad and unsafe areas but those exist everywhere. a bit embarrassed that I was even hesitant to visit. Enjoy your travels and now I am craving some curry goat lol
