I knew of Mr. Lipton throught SNL. In the late 2000's I began watching "inside the actors studio" nearly ritualistically. I eventually lost touch and am just now finding out Mr. Lipton died in 2020. I think he was a marvelous human being and deserves to be recognized in a long-term (perhaps infinite) medium. He should be the name of an acting award, or something to that effect. I hope future generations will know of him.
