I had heard this song hundreds of times before 9/11 and then it took on a much deeper meaning. Took on an even deeper meaning after watching my dad die in front of me in April 2103. Today I can't really watch, or hear this song without crying. Grief can make one feel even more alone. Thanks for such a beautiful touching song.

+Jollynoose Dealing with grief and loss is never easy. Especially for someone who is in recovery from drugs an alcohol and then all of a sudden the dam burst. Unless someone has gone through this, they have no way to understand. This will be the third holidays without my dad and my two long time friends. no i am not in a holiday spirit

Thankfully i have given myself permission to cry or i might have had my third breakdown or lost my sobriety. There are some songs i might never be able to hear without crying. That is one of the effects of not being able to kill the pain with the drugs or alcohol . Am in caution zone for next six weeks and not really in a holiday mood. Will go through the essentials.

Years ago we went to one of his outdoor concerts, had stage front seating. We traded our seats for grass (picnic) location & beers.
