Of course the music and its performance are stupendous, but the cinematography (if it's still called that) is also excellent. Thanks for uploading.

It reminds me of the five great solo concerts Keith performed in Japan 1976 - especially that in Osaka - very exciting !

Did a Pinter version of Hamlet in In Cardiff in 90's. Was in a blacked out church Theater. We would open the evening with this sublime tune.

Andy Hay. somehow these things go together well: Hamlet, Pinter, Spiral Dance, in Cardiff.

Beautiful introduction by Keith. Probably inspired by Debussy's piano work or Stravinsky's Rite of Spring

The intro sounds like the music of Scriabine 🙏
@brianfinley6798
@brianfinley6798 8 лет назад
The intro doesn't seem to segue into the beginning of the tune as seamlessly as it does on Nude Ants, but boy-oh-boy, these guys are pretty good! I love to hear Gabarek play tenor, such a wonderful tone...I know people love to hate Jarrett's mannerisms and pain-in-the-ass pomposity, but he is undeniably one of the great American musicians of the late 20th century.

"people love to hate Jarrett's mannerisms and pain-in-the-ass pomposity"??? this is you speaking, Brian Finley, not anybody else. Keith Jarrett's immense, unparalleled art allows him his mannerisms, his humming and his lecturing assholes in the audience. *KJ is a god, A GOD!*
