Awesome work David. Sorry to hear you're considering stopping. Thank you for all the great content and hard work! All the best for the future and hopefully you come back soon.
This deserves 50k views minimum. Absolutely fantastic and informative video all in 11min. Definitely the best things to do video on Hiroshima on youtube!
Oh how times have changed.. If this was video 📹 was taken back in 1998 or 99, you would have been invited to a Japanese TV 📺 show interview and viola..still my favorite travel vloger.. God bless
TV Host: "David san, you are known to like Japan 🇯🇵 very much-loved" ..David: was a Harajuku Cat 😻 in me past life, meow.. TV Audience: 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉🎆🌟🎆🌟🎉🎆🌟
Also......an emotional trip for some. As an American reviewing the damage done from the bombing is beyond description. Yet my ancestors defended Honolulu where I was born, which was directly bombed by Japan a generation ago, multiple ancestors served in WW2, the hospital I was born in later birthed the 1st black American president, and today my Asian descendents live and work in Japan. We've come full circle and I like to think a Brit, an American, and a Japanese citizen can all appreciate the wonderful city of Hiroshima together. Progress is truly a blessing, a healing, a place to remember, so we never forget. Thank you David. It's more than just a tourism video. It's love. Love for the diversity of humanity. Well done.
awesome comment! i've also been to pearl harbor 11 years ago, amazing experience, especially the Arizona memorial, so it's interesting to have experienced both sides of the story
Excellent! So many helpful tips, secrets, includes $, directions, seasons, weather, and more. Delightful fun, Cat Cafe, bunnies, day trips, serious history, sex shop and great national food. Something for everyone! Did I mention the beautiful cinematography and clear concise narration? Well done David! Well done.
Brilliant video David! This has to be one of your top 3! Thoroughly enjoyed this with my morning coffee just now. Never been to Hiroshima actually so thanks for sharing this. I truly hope you will come to Tokyo one day soon too.
Tokyo Drew thanks man, means alot! I'll deffo be back in Tokyo at some point in the future but first I need to save some money. This video has already been demonetized for inappropriate content so it's pretty much the last straw for this channel, I'm most likely going to post on my FB page in future!
Hi David. A much more mainstream constructed delivery i guess from your previous format (though i miss your unique and frank matter of fact style !), but it's all about what brings the viewers/subscribers in i suppose so let's hope for many hits ! As for the content - very informative as usual and professionally projected i have to say. Hiroshima is on my March itinerary and i'm only there for a day and a half !
I love this video :)) glad you have a great time spending in Hiroshima!! Don't forget to make more interesting videos after you come back from your break. We're waiting.(it's my first time to leave a message on RU-vid hahaXD) See you soon. :D
Thanks for the first comment! Yep don't worry I'm starting filmimg again next week when I get to Kyoto but you won't see these until April. More time to edit them and plan better videos like this one!
Yes, this video was actually put together in January. The only places I wouldn't bother with in January would be Takehara and Onomichi. Too cold and nothing going on there
Brilliant video! Will be going to Hiroshima in September and cant wait to see all these things :D How many days would u recommend spending there? We were going to do 2 days in Hiroshima and then another one for Miyajima :)
minkdevil thanks minkdevil! Most people only seem to stay here a couple of days! If you want to go Okunoshima, Takehara and Onomichi I'd add a few days on as each are about 2hrs travel from Hiro! Get the 3 day pass for 3000Y!
Love this video David. We are heading to Hiroshima now from Tokyo on the bullet train. Will try to check out the places you recommended on this video. Do you know of any good foreign exchange shops in Hiroshima with the best rate? We found for Tokyo, the best shop with best rate is Ginza Exchange close to Ginza station. Other shops had worse rates for CAD to JPY :)
@@davidostrowski679 We did look into ATM but my bank will charge me $5 in service fee each time I use an ATM plus the service fee of the ATM that I will use. So it could cost me like $8 total each time to use a machine = $5 fee from my bank +$3 in fees from 711 ATM for each time we use it :(
Wow thats crazy! I guess it depends on your bank, i've always been lucky with mine. I have a Revolut card now, usually I am cash free now as card payments incur no charge. Are u in Hiroshima now?
@@davidostrowski679 Yes we are in Hiroshima now. Just tried the famous dish at Okonomimura Village area. Are you in Hiroshima still? We are leaving tomorrow to head to Osaka. Wish we had more time in Hiroshima. People here are very friendly & more laid back than Tokyo. Would love to live here as its not as busy as Tokyo and not too small of a city too :)
You know what I don't understand?? How other travel vloggers with real bad videos have hundreds of thousands of subs and views and guys like you with real good content have got only 1/10 of that. :(
First World Traveller nice. I'm thinking about buying one too but to stiff for me hehe. I think I'mma settle for zhiyun or maybe osmo 2 as it seems it much cheaper than osmo 1.
Baduy deffo, I bought the osmo 1 in Tokyo in April 17, about $300, the osmo 2 seems much more affordable. May upgrade in the future. I met someone with a zhiyun a few weeks ago in the Mazda museum! Seemed a good alternative!
