Unstoppable team. 🇯🇵 I’m still amazed at how effortless they made it look while playing with a lot of disadvantages in terms of time zones, ball type, umpires etc. Ohtani is like a god, but Genda not missing one throw while playing with a broken finger on his throwing hand, and Shuto running on contact to score the winning run from first in the semifinal define the tournament for me.

Ohtani is the Messi of baseball. The king. I have never in my life seen a player dominate both sides of the game so much. And he is class both in and out of the field. This guy will be talked about for decades.

Mexico will never forget the names Yoshida(Red sox) and Murakami(future Mlb).

And what great respect they show by bowing to all of their fans after each game. In a world full of trouble and despair team Japan has been a bright flame of hope. They are bigger than baseball.
