I’ve never watched your channel. I don’t know who is who. But the guy with the glasses, he needs to narrate EVERYTHING!! He needs to be Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant, all Navmans, you name it. So soothing and relaxing to listen to.

Around here the vending machines would be safe it is the microwave that would dissappear I just wish we could get that quality in stores I would fill my freezer

Yeah, our vending machines basically have candy bars, chips, cookies, gum, and occasionally something like Pop Tarts or ramen noodles, and that’s really rare. They’re always horribly underwhelming. So are the convenience stores. A few very stale sandwiches, hot dogs on rollers, maybe some mediocre pizza if you’re in a bigger chain. Yay. 🙄

Shaniah Reddick If there was an American version, the U.S. version will undergo cost cutting and will most likely not taste good. Americans companies value profit rather than good service 😶

I can’t believe how nice these vending machines are! They would be trashed in a second in the US. I think the frozen meals would be a convenient way to stock up your freezer too. And I love that they grind the beans before brewing the coffee. Thanks for sharing this fun experience with us! Have a wonderful weekend!

I was thinking the same thing! I just love the Japanese respect for food- even if you’re in a hurry you are provided with well balanced meals instead of snacks. And even though he is eating on the street he takes the time to thank for the meal / wish you a good appetite.

There's a vending machine cafe called "Chef-in-Box" that's located in various parts of Singapore and serve local food. You guys should try it next time!

It's cleaner because you only open the corner of the film so no spitting food all in the microwave!

@@mikieson Try putting a bowl of water with lemon juice in the microwave, cook it for about 5-6 mins until it steams then you should be able to just wipe the mess out! Works on my microwave :)

i think this video just shows how the world of vending machines has grown since they first came out and the quaity of food they produce is really good. It doesn't surprise me that its in Asia where they seem to be leading the way in vending machines and the fact you don't need cash to pay and can pay by using card or prepay card. the food looked well nice and not what you typically find in a machine. great to see Satoshi enjoy his food, especially that ice cream and the look on he's face when they had he's favorite.

You have to have a very well disciplined people to pull off having public vending machines like these. We can't have nice things like these in the US because we have jackasses that would destroy/graffiti them.

I saw one of their videos about vending machines in Japan where there was just a pair of tongs hanging on the machine COMPLETELY UNTETHERED so they could pick up their hot sandwich. I couldn't believe it. Those tongs would be gone in ten minutes here.

I like these videos. In Finland we only have vending machines with either cold soft drinks or candy. And even those are mostly found in places like bus, metro or train stations.

I love Shinichi and Satoshi's food and drink descriptions and explanations.. makes me feel like i'm eating it right there with them! Satoshi sure was excited to get that Jumbo Choco Monaka HAHAHAHA! best part is that, because of this video, i'm headed off to the giant Asian supermarket in town, to see if they have it!

i work near tanjong pagar and didn't even know of this vending machine and only get to know via this video made by a Japanese (foreigner). LOL...i really need to explore more. thanks for the info...going to try it next week

In regards to airline food a big reason is altitude and it's effects on people's sense of taste. The science behind it is actually really fascinating and worth a look into. Theres some really good videos here on youtube that talk about it and how airlines are trying to get around that problem.

You guys are so adorable! I love seeing your reactions on some of the things you try. You asked why food on a plane doesn't taste as good and it is because of the pressurization. It prevents the food from tasting flavorful as it does something to suppress our taste buds.

Welcome to Singapore! There is a salmon vending machine too! And In Toa Payoh, near the very popular Creamier ice cream place (which you guys can try local flavours) there’s a row of vending machines there with beef yakiniku rice and other dishes too!

I found an ice cream almost exactly like Satoshi's at a local Asian market/grocery store here in the US. If you find one of those, look in their freezer section. The wafer ice creams are so good! And the chocolate bar inside reminds me of the chocolate shell on a Klondike bar, but thicker
