Tanto knife made from ball bearing steel, brass plate and mutenye wood.
Overall lenght is 36cm with 23cm long blade 4mm spine thickness.
This is the first time I try this kind of construction, it's very satifing but takes a really long time as a good fit require lots of fiddling. I also love the fact that it can be disassembled, but it sure is some extra work!
This bearing steel is very hard, forging took some effort, but it does make for a very hard edge after heat treatment, with 65 Rockwell file barely scratching in some areas. Unfortunatly the steel did not took the hamon too well, it's there, but not very dark. Still, after finishing the steel to high grits it was cool to see the steel structure peeking through after the etch in ferric chloride.
Here are some of the videos about the tools I used:

This is not a traditional tanto. It's single-beveled, the tang has no bevel, there's no profile taper on blade or tang, and forged-finish doesn't belong on the blade. It's a beautiful knife, with great craftsmanship! But not traditional.

Definitely a nice fit up on the Tsuka (Handle) and the Saya (Scabbard) Nice touch using a steel Mekugi Pin to hold the Tsuka to the Tang as they last a bit longer and aren't prone to splintering like their oftentimes bamboo counterparts. Now... the next time you make one, here's ha few things to take into consideration. When you're applying clay to the blade... don't use a wire wrap to hold it in place, as you probably found in out making of this video... it can cause the blade to warp during the quench. Now then, properly applying clay for a hamon isn't very difficult... basically you mix up some Satanite with water in two different mixtures, 1 about the consistency of Honey, and 1 about the consistency of Exterior Primer. With the thinner mixture you're going to want to coat the whole blade, if you're tempering a knife at the time you can leave it on top of your tempering oven to dry. With the thicker mixture... after your base coat has dried... using a sculptors spatula or other such tool you build up a relatively thick layer on the spine (not nearly as thick as in the video) drying it between coats, then load the edge of your tool with the thinner mixture and make a crisscross/lattice work pattern from the spine to the edge (I personally use a series of X's with little dots along the edge) dry it and then Heat treat as usual. By the way... before I forget... you're going to want to clay the blade at no higher than 500 grit so that the base coat adheres, any higher than that and it'll pop off whilst you're drying it... Personal Experience ~facepalms~ Polishing is easy, take the whole blade up to a clean 2500+ grit, then alternate using Lemon Juice and Windex (Lemon Juice to etch and Windex to neutralize) on the blade to bring out the Hamon... hit it with a sunshine cloth and done.

I will preface this comment by saying that I really enjoyed the video and think your craftsmanship is impecable. That being said, I'm not sure if you decided to put your own spin on a tanto knife or didn't do enough research, but I feel like it's only somewhat a tanto. I would say the habaki fitment is not supposed to be like that and it lacks the bevels that make a knife a tanto. The way you sharpened it, with a secondary bevel, is also not the way it is usually done. I am sure that you are more than capable of making a kick-ass tanto and would like to see one in the future. Maybe look at some pictures online and see for yourself. The skill is definitely there.

Great craft. A manufacturing method that is not bound by tradition.

If you’re going to make a knife in 52100, got to do it right make sure you run it into the low 60’s on the Rockwell scale-refreshing to see it done properly. Excellent work.
