Funny how things work, I got out of kse because of Howard, and back in when Jesse came back. But have liked other stuff Howard has done. Hopefully this new stuff will be good.
I had heard My Last Serenade sometime on iTunes back in the day and enjoyed it but didn't really get me into the band until I heard My Curse on Burnout Paradise cir. 2008 and that song really got me into the rest of their music. I've enjoyed everything Howard has done in and for the music industry regardless of the band because of his voice.
@@The_JustJoshing Howard Jones fanboy/girls are annoying af. Reality dictates KsE sells better with Jesse. For good reason too. He is the OG. The Jones era was great but it's gone. It's not coming back so deal with it. Don't like Jesse, fine, stay away from KsE comments because it turns toxic. Go support Light the Torch. They certainly need it.
YQu're being TrQlled exactly. I know I’ll get crucified for saying this, but As Daylight Dies wasn’t that great. Pretty boring if you ask me, and yes, I have given it multiple chances.
I love how humble and down to Earth Howard seems. His influence on metal could never be overstated yet he doesn't seem to have an ounce of ego about it.
Man this is gonna be so good!! Jared you're so lucky, proud of you man, I can't believe that you're working on an album with Howard Jones, his voice is amazing! He's huge. Congrats dude you deserve it.
Howard's smile is so precious, God, that's so nice to see. :) I'm so excited to hear more of what they have coming to us, glad they're working together!
I'm really not a fan of Jared Dines, but I will definitely give this a listen just because of Howard. Mid-era killswitch-esque instrumentation with Howards vocals is gonna kill it regardless!
@@chriskimmel7252 jesus, quit the cry. Carlos wrote a very humble comment, he could have written something way worse like a toxic kid. He simply just wrote "im not a fan".
Can't wait to hear this. Loved the Killswitch Engage Howard jones era to this day. As Daylight Dies is my all time favorite album. Jared and Howard working on an album is going to be awesome.
Can you guys believe this man is 50? I thought he was 40. Still in his prime bigtime! I also love his humor, honesty and sincerety. What a great dude all around.
I love how Howard is just a regular guy. He doesn't seem filled with ego and in fact seems very humble about his abilities and even his stardom. I can't wait to hear more from this album!
I've been listening to Killswitch for 10 years and I have 2 of their CDs in my car. I was listening to As Daylight Dies whenever I was in the car today and it doesn't get old. Loved hearing from then both, but Howard has a very special place in my ear.
This talk about touring together, they already do! What an amazing headliner for trivium and light the torch to combine for this jd and Howard combo album. I would give my life for that show. Praise.
I think Jared has a lot to offer in consulting bands starting out in the current climate. His experiences and knowledge in developing his brand and online presence itself would be a huge asset any band starting out.
Man i CAN'T wait for this album to come out!!!! I'm super stoked about it, jerred is a beast on the guitar, and Howard is one of my all time favorite vocalist, i remember jerred mentioning something about (possibly ) doing something with Howard in the future, i was like yes!!! Please do this and here we are
Amazing example of how you can end up working with someone you looked up to and also an example of how there's never an excuse to not make your ideas a tangible thing.
I cant tell you jared and howard how much you both have made me love music . kse is good now but best with Howard so i miss the good music that i hear at a daily basis . I got to hear Jared’s stuff and liked it for two years so cant wait to hear what is made ! Ready for the metal!
Jared is so full of himself and Howard is a true humble dude. Jared is a fake poser who mocks his fans and talks a lot of crap. Howard is the opposite.
Tyler Worrell I was witness to this at a winter NAMM, on the floor. I was completely taken by surprise. I was a huge fan and absolutely adored him. Never meet your”hero’s” love. He was an absolute joke. It was horrible. I’d would have never thought I’d see him act that way. In the end, who cares really? Life goes on, but I would have felt a right twat not to say something.
@@lenaelm9477 You clearly care if you're talking about it years later. People have off days and your anecdote that no one even knows is true or not is pretty meaningless. Why so vague on when this happened? You also didn't even say what he did. You claim he mocked his fans, then just said he's an "absolute joke" and that "it was horrible."
Howard Jones was going to become a legendary vocalist. For some genre of music. I hope I speak for all metal heads out there. When I say. That we are extremely lucky. That he chose metal as his platform. With his range and vocal skills. I could easily see him performing. Along side of the best opera singers. When he is in the zone, and maintains a high energy level on stage. I put him among the top of the list of metal front men. Even though I wish Howard was still with Killswitch. I will follow, and will look forward. To listen to any music. He is involved with.
Howard has a really nice smile gotta say. These dudes are legends in their own right, and I'm happy to see Jared get to work with a singer who elevated the metal game for vocals.
No... he isnt. He was the 2nd singer of KsE. Nothing more, nothing less. That's why Killswitch is still killing it and The Devil You Know/Light the Torch is dead. Not taking anything away from his contribution to KsE but gtfo with this nonsense...
I will agree Howard IS Killswitch....When you hear Killswitch Engage, you think of Howard. Jesse was cool, Alive or Just Breathing and original Self titled... Wasn't the same without Howard
I love me some KSE.......From Jesse to Howard back to Jesse...amazing metal music.....and with this collab I expect more amazing music...thank you for what you do guys
(Great Deceiver) is my favorite song ive heard so far. I love how the few main guitar notes in the chorus, perfectly dance around howards awesome vocals. That chorus is the future to me of how to use an 8 or 9 string guitar while singing with these strange new low notes. It's truely a service to humanity. I think vocalist are scared of the low notes, they are thinking they need to sing lower, but when you do it right, the vocalist is singing the same over your low octave. Vocalist should look at it as a way that they can sing in an extended range too! There is just soo much left to explore still. Music is great!
*Rock feed asks a question .. Jared: It will just happen naturally, wherever feels right, people would realise good stuff over mediocre Howard: I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and enjoying it
I freaking love Howard. 13 year old me. Like Jared said, Killswitch and As I Lay Dying era was sooo important to me. Gives me chills to this day listening to End of Heartache.
That is very Howard man, to think no one cared after her left Killswitch. When Shut It Down released, I was there man. I was so hyped and loved Devil You Know(Fuck you John Sankey). I love Light The Torch. Howards voice is gold, my favorite screamer. Him doing Signal Fire with Killswitch last year was amazing. I'm glad he has begun to understand how much people love him. I also hope they resume the tour with Killswitch, what a great way to have such a special collab on some songs while also promoting Light the Torch. Jared was great, the rock feed guy was funny. I will say I wished he'd have specifically made time to ask Howard his response, Jared had a lot to say, but I know Howard has always been the story vague one in interviews all the way back to Killswitch. Excited for future projects, thanks for the interview. 8k views is a real let down for such an awesome interview.
I'm not gonna lie! I really was into Rock Feed in its infancy where we mainly got videos of Brian's face and his opinions on breaking news before eventually falling off when the channel became less about Brian and what we thoughts about certain situations and had just images only in the video. I have come back in recent times through late 2019/early 2020 because of the format change and it's a good mix of the old and the new in my opinion.
What he said at 38:40. There's a great band called arcane haven. They have 300 followers on spotify. Their self titled album is amazing. Came out a year ago and nobody has heard it .
