the best roast you can do right now for Fro Knows without ever mentioning his name is tomake a T-SHIRT that says "I SHOOT JPG" then in smaller print below : "... and my results are superior because I know how to setup my camera properly", or a t-shirt with a bald guy and a camera cartoon and a blurb like this " I don't need to shoot raw, I'm that good "
@@peterkapunkt6783 that video sums me up more than any other. It was supposed to be quick filler video made over a couple of days that ended up taking 3 weeks to make. Why can I never make simple videos? 😂
@@philipbloom If you are after furry but less popular animals, consider doing video on tarantulas. They are pettable and nice. Just wear glasses when you do that -- you will thank me later.
Gerald Unview here thanking you for always being so kind! Appreciate it. 🤓🙏 P.s. I didn't ask you to be in the video because I got lost in the 45 message chains I had going to get that video made and eventually just stopped inviting more people, but if anyone asks, I'll tell them it was because even you don't know what camera gear you're using half the time. 😜💜 ...or maybe the magnets in my brain were out of alignment that day.
Tony Northrup: "We shoot Nikon... no, wait, now Canon is better - Let's sell all our Nikon gear (at KEH) and buy new Canon gear. Wait, now Sony is the best ... lets sell our Canon gear and buy all new Sony gear. No, wait ... Now the Canon R5 is the best - Lets sell the Sony gear and buy new Canon gear. I can afford it - I just sold my Tesla."
I find Tony's... un...natural...pauses....he... makes whenever he's trying to make a point to be really disjointed and difficult to watch. Feels contrived and predicable. Wish he would just speak with his natural cadence. But each to their own and he seems to be doing well, so full credit to him.
Tonys latest offering is an invented Canon which is OK. The video contained a comment that there was a camera he liked and he has seven of them. Why do you need seven of one model? I like some of his stuff, but it is a sales site, to me. I was afraid of DP Review - thought it was a pronhub link
OMG, I made it into a Camera Conspiracy Cripple hammer video!! I am famous now, I can die a happy man, hot dickety dog - let's change that to hot dickety cucumber lol :) Merry Christmas!! Thumbs up on your work Kasey, love you :) 👍👍👍
What a shock getting a shout out from you. Was watching along and not expecting to hear my name. I was wondering why I gained so many subs this week. More videos are coming, I am leaving my job and putting more into RU-vid. Big fan of your work and am honoured you mentioned me!
Hey Kasey, When someone said you mentioned me in your video, I expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised! :D Not even a comment about my funny accent.... ;) Thanks for including me in this! Much appreciated. Glad my reviews resonate with many of you guys!
Also, they all have it coming. Most good photographers aren't on youtube shilling gear, after all. The only ones i like are casey and the ones who just show what they actually do and are passionate about it. Like that australian who shoots the milky way. The gear obsession phase shouldn't really last for more than 2-3 beginner years anyway.
Kasey, I'm gonna send ya a "Helicopter decapitator" anyway, It could really help film some of your favorite past times, like cutting your own hair and sniffing your own farts. I'd love to sponsor that kind of quality content...JK i'm actually a closet subscriber of yours! Don't tell anyone :) Fujjjje forever
His howdy everyone is probably the simplest and most decent intro possible. But, he probably didn't mention him bc he's more of a lens expert guy and not much of a camera review guy. He's the best at lens reviews tho.
1stly … pumped you hit 100k congratulations brotha! I’m proud of you 2ndcuntly … I’m honored I made squad! 3rdLee - you’re a mind reader … needed this & loved it.
I was super pumped to see Anthony make the list. He’s super talented, funny, and keeps it interesting. Both Camera Conspiracies and Anthony’s channel are my go to channels if I want to learn a bit while cracking up at their self-deprecating comments.
Miss The Everything Man but things move on. Those days were the best. I bought an a6400, 10-18mm and a tiny gimbal because of that windy-ass day video you made. Go claim your commission!!!
Christopher Frost is one of the best camera review channels I’ve come across. He mostly focuses on lenses, but there great In depth reviews without being too complicated.
@@jimdabomb You're right on that. Kai and his DigitalRev team seem to have repeatedly captured the proverbial 'lightening in a bottle' with their storyline plus gear review or comparatives combinations; entertaining and informative.
Give Kai a little time to mellow out and mature. He was really irritating and sometimes offensive in the past with his ridicule of people in the street. Now he seems to have grown up a bit. Give him 5 years, he might find that golden spot of being funny without being teenagy-arrogant.
Gerald Undone should do a Casey roast, that would be funny: sentence mistakes, filming squirrels, doing the board room B&W conversation. That would get a million views 😎
Gear channels that need some love, tough or otherwise. Mattias Burling - Dog Photography Award Dustin Abbott - Pioneer Award for offering two sizes (long and extra long) for each review. Simon's utak - Radiation Is Your Friend Award Three Blind Men and an Elephant - Hold That Hair Product Award
Q: "Where can I see your work?" A: "You're watching it, asshole! We're RU-vidrs, we have no work. We're out of work, begging you for money on the Patreon." 😆😂🤣
Kai Wong deserved an honorable mention. He really fell off though he has gotten to losing clips and not having batteries and stuff lol but I really REALLY used to like Kai Wong! His videos used to be very funny and informative.
I loved the Tony "Square space" roast, someone has to. I'm only surprised you didn't try to review 3 cameras and 2 lenses while doing this video. For someone who knows so little and deals in so few facts you are oddly the one persion I totally trust. Thanks for the great laughs, if ever I feel a bit down I watch one of your videos and laugh myself happy.
You're still the best channel ever! As for the rest of us, no m4/3 channels? I don't do many reviews but Peter Forsgard, Red35, Robin Wong, and Sulantoblog do great reviews.
Christopher Frost Mattias Burling The Art of Photography Kai W I know there are countless others, but these four are very well known and very much qualified for this list.
They are more of stills photographers and they aren't really his cup of tea. That is why Lok is there and Kai isn't. I remember the roast towards photographers before: "waking up at 3am in the morning to take a picture of the sunset." Love it.
@@tech-utuber2219 No, not too much of a kid. And he has great info. He just, let's say, very high energy. And he edits each clip so that there's no pausing in his speech. Just rapid fire speaking. Lots of youtubers edit that way these days. There's no pausing to let the thought, that they've just conveyed, sink in.
I was a bit surprised that Tony was so miffed about the toneh thing. David Oastler did the right thing and took it on the chin and had a laugh about the roast. He actually told his viewers to go watch your video during his latest livestream.
@@overnightdelivery That's a shame. That really makes him look weak. But that makes sense because he does come across as quite materialistic and one thing I've learned in life materialistic people have emotionally quite weak people. They rely on material goods to keep their spirits up.
You and Gerald are the first two I go to whenever I need camera thoughts. Gerald for the mind and you for the heart. Together you two make a complete camera reviewing superbeing. Keep up the great work.
This is brilliant. Now we need a part 2 of this covering Peter McKinnon, Kaiman Wong, Manny Ortiz, Caleb Pike, Thomas Heaton, Ted Forbes, Armando Ferreira, and Hugh Brownstone.
Thomas Heaton! That man has kept me from quitting photography several times, from just his ideology in general. His Mitsubishi Delica has me jealous! Lol
Check Media Division Company: that's where you go when you want to know how to film something being amazing: most stuff are super high end, but, BOYS it is worth it! I also suggest to check Lavikka Photography channel: he's a one band man, seems understated but, if you take your time, he's really knows what he's talking about and has put a lot of thinking behind that. Worth check.
Yeah but he is almost 100% just a Fuji shill. I loved his older videos, but now it's just obvious that he makes excited videos about stuff Fuji sends him.
Actually Omar Shot Canon 5DmkIII /IV for years and got Fuji X-T20 for family use .Omar got a X-T2 he tried to use professionally (any never admitted to it unsuccessful probably because X-T2 was always breaking down ) and Omar switched back to a full frame with the Sony A7III for all his professional photography 😉. Yes he was a terrible Fuji fan boy shill but ever since Omar failed with his X-T2 in his professional photography business a switched to Sony full fame his support of Fuji has waned a lot.
You didn't mention Evelyn & Dave from the Camera Store? I suspect you're a coward. 🤠 Also, Paltotech, the best Fuji channel on RU-vid. "Wife photography, its a new genre" 😍
I need to hear your opinion on Ken "Theoria Apophasis", that camera guy that tells his audience how smart he is all the time....damn you mentioned him at the end. Personally, I think he's a bigoted charlatan.
I like Arthur R for his Sony APSC content. One of the few reviews that doesn’t use an A7SIII. I also like The Everyday Dad, but he does too many reviews of the same product. You should have reviewed your own channel. I like your channel, but you need to take off that stupid filter, it looks like crap. As far as reviewers, I like people that review affordable gear, not high dollar full frame gear that the average person can’t afford.
@@kyletaggart thank you for your reviews. Every time I think I am going to upgrade to full frame I just decide that aps-c still works just fine for me.
Kai W seems too smug, I can't relate to him. And Chris from DPReview gives off similar kinds of vibes, but to a lesser extent... It feels like they are trying too hard, and come off as not genuine.
I love Gordon Laing. I remember watching him 10 years ago and I left the photography scene after losing my camera. Now I brought another camera, I am glad he's still trucking along.
Three Blind Men and an Elephant does exactly what you claimed no one did, comparing formats and specific Body+Lens combinations in the context of his reviews. He makes you ponder about your life while knowing every little detail about every camera. And you don't know about Hugh? - you monster
You missed paying tribute to the late David Thorpe. Most of the camera vids I watch are yours, Gerald (though he got too serious, the older videos were more fun/useful and non-sony-specific), and David's until he recently passed. Yours for entertainment. Gerald for practical stuff. David for M43 gear. RIP David, you were awesome.
I would mention: Ted Forbes, Hugh Brownstone, Atola Visuals, Griffin Hammond, Wolfcrow, Darren Miles, Jeven Dovey, James Popsys, Thomas Heaton, Kai W. I'm not subscribed to them all but I have the links (and more) just one klick away to see whats new if I like.
Peter Gregg picks up Oreo cookies * happy vegan noises * Peter Gregg mixes in milk * confused vegan noises * Peter Gregg bakes unholy Oreo cookies and milk mixture * angry raw foodist noises *
My faves these dates are The Art of Photography with Ted Forbes, Sean Tucker and you for more comic relief end of things. The most legendary however has to be the older DigitalRevTV stuff when Kai Wong and Lock Chung were teamed up and making really fun videos, notably the Cheap Camera Challenge series where they hosted several great photographers. It's high bar because they were similar to Top Gear in host talent and had a film crews and some budget so it set a pretty high bar but damn was that the prime of it's time. They just teamed up again too so fortunately we'll be seeing more from them.
I’m glad Phillip Bloom only releases a few videos a year.. because if he did videos more frequently, I would throw my Sony a7siii off a bridge.. His video filming techniques and instincts are so good, I realize how worthless I am and bad my videos are. However, I usually recover enough confidence months after I watch one of his new videos, that I forget how much I suck until he releases another new one..
A lot of people here knocking Tony but his videos are very informational. But unlike Kasey I'm not into the whole family. He doesn't need his wife to tag along - he is the knowledgeable one. I only like listening to _his_ reviews and views on photography. He is getting a lot of criticism for jumping brand ship every time one brand bests another but that is useful information for someone looking for what is best at the moment or someone starting out. Just get rid of the wife.
Steve Perry is as good as it gets. As for Jared, you forgot to trash Pentax and Olympus, find an excuse to take off his shirt and get excited about "look how it focuses on the eye".
I was actually laughing so hard. Love your approach and agree with all of your camera channel critiques. I was hoping you were going to roast Peter McKinnon because although I admit he knows a bit about camera stuff and has a very tidy studio, I'm always puzzled about his pocket knives twirling in his hands and crafty slow motion coffee making adventures. I'm curious of was he able to market himself so high up. Like his own line of Polarpro filters and Camera bags? I love Potato Jet and you description was spot on!!!
A lot of micro 4/3rds guys are really cool (especially the olympus guys). Its a shame about the company, but David Thorpe was a legend (rip), and Red 35 always had the most charming model/co-hosts before the covid lockdown times.
I think she does very good reviews (Leigh the Snapchick)- not extremely in depth, (would be boring for me) and she often combines her reviews with outdoor activity and she has a lot of experience with different camera brands. I would also recommend the channel of Julia Trotti for beginner photographers who want to shoot portraits and for her gear reviews.
But I like that Camera Conspiracies seems like he doesn`t give a sh1t, and I think he shouldn`t put a woman in his this list just to add a woman. There are amazing female Camera-YTer though, like Leigh, and I hope he get`s to know her videos!
Haha!! Good stuff! I steer clear of Gerald Undone’s videos after noticing critical errors for years. More than enough trusted sources that are quite reliable exist for people who carve out a living working on serious cinema and TV.
I come to you to point out the glaring flaws on a camera. Basically I get sold on a camera from other reviewers, then I come here to get the real story and realize its far from perfect with a million deal killers.. then I end up never upgrading my camera (Samsung NX500).
From what I heard Tony Northkruttt still wakes up every night, all sweaty, screamin NOOO TONEHHH NOOO... don't be too hard on the guy, he'll forgive you eventually.
Hi Casey, Thanks for another beauty. I’d like to give a shout-out to Harry Bunn for his old GRVOTV channel. He is a very humble and no nonsense reviewer now of “Collectable Watches” with his “Watch the Time” channel but with GRVOTV it was really his passion for Micro Four Thirds that took my interest. Anyone into straight forward user reviews of this gear will still find his old posts very enjoyable and useful. Thanks for your continuing entertainment with Camera Conspiracies. You are Number 1 in my list. Kudos!
Jan Wegener is amazing. Great content that answers a lot of wildlife questions and is always quick to answer the questions to us mere mortals. Also, Morten Hilmer. Great storytelling!
Pal is my entire fuji manual supplement. He covers everything I need, just a little too excited sometimes. “Will you look at that, just look at that…” 😂😈
Being around here since you had 14k. Finally, congrats from the bottom of my heart to 100k subs! Dang, I wet myselve laughing just 1 minute in the vid.
