Sistah - the reason Jarkko's screams sound so divine is that he is able to freely open up to higher register, using similar technique than operatic tenors. He is able to bring so full colour to screams and add vibrato, overtones...whatever he fancies... PS. This is from analysis by vocal coatch

When the group Teräsbetoni appeared it took everyone by surprise with the opening line for "Taivas lyö tulta" and of course the attitude. Utterly shameless but at the same time knowing exactly what they were doing with full delivery. Sword, fur capes, leather boots and all that.

I met him in Helsinki when he was doing a promotion for Tähdet Tähdet, a Finnish star competition show. I was having a very bad day, he saw me crying and he came up to me to say hello and to see if I was ok.

I live in Jarkko's hometown, its a small village of ~5000 population. Once i was doing some work in my yard and Jarkko was walking by while talking with someone, i didnt even have to look to recognice who was there, voice of speak was so familiar. Thanks for nice reaction👌

Metallisydän is Jarkko Metal God Ahola's signature heavy ballad, composition and lyrics are by him. The new version, with Bratislava Symphony orchestra, was released just before our world turned into chaos. In my opinion the message of the song is now as current as ever.
