Yeah Emilia Clarke has told the story many times that before the first season of Game of Thrones even started filming they had never seen each other or even spoken to each other but the day he showed up he just burst through the door and yelled “Wifey!” and ran up to her and put her in a big bear hug right in front of the entire cast. Everybody was in Northern Ireland for like a pre-filming party. I guess Amber isn’t wifey material.

I think he knows that a photo of them embracing would be used for clickbait and he doesn’t want to be associated with her bs. So he kept it short, sweet but most importantly professional like the gentleman he is.
He didn't push her, he blocked her as a well mannered married man. He has much respect and love for his wife and family. She shouldn't have tried to cross the boundaries, and he clearly looked uncomfortable with her doing that.
Amber was trying to create a compromising situation by moving toward Momoa for what could have become a very intimate embrace. He stops her, almost preemptively, and poses her next to him. She wanted to play the sex kitten with him, and he comes across as shiding her, which can also be precieved as an intimate gesture. Either way, she makes us suspicious of their relationship. That most likely was her goal. It was the last straw for Jason and Lisa. By my observation, If the actors were intimate off camera, I couldn't tell by watching the film. They had no on screen chemistry! That's why the movie didn't do well. When Amber's real private life blew up, this didn't help her look sympathetic.

Jason Mamoa, in a very gentlemanly way, gave off a body signal that said " DON'T F'ING TOUCH ME". I believe he handled his absolute loathing of her in a very wise and gentle way; his actions didn't hurt Amber's feelings, but made the rest of the world laugh our butts off! God bless that man!

I remember being taught at my job how to deflect when someone comes to close in your personal space. Also, how to stop a person from coming in to give you a kiss on the cheek if that isn’t your thing. I truly admire him in using this method.

Look at it from a different perspective, he opened his arm around back of her, before she moved into him, I think she stopped short on her own. He doesn't appear to be directing her physically. He appears to touch her arm in kind response to her shoulder/chest touch. He leans toward her slightly as they pose.
