I’ll have to get a generic one made. Specific is really designed around the athlete. Most of what I do is specific to my thrower and changes as needs change. I’ll do some thinking about it 👍🏻
Halley you doing a great job , it's just wonderful.Watching your videos from Kenya and I love doing Javelin, I'm hoping by this year I will have greatly improved. Thanks so much.
Coach Halley I just want to say Thank you ☺️ Thank you for you videos and your pointers. I use to throw in High School and 2 yrs in college until I got i injured, and now I’m coaching in my kids Homeschool Track Team and your pointers and refreshers are helping remember things and I’m learning new things. Thank you
Thanks Halley. Got new thing in running while throwing javelin. I like your coaching and try to watch your every video I come across. You give minute details. Though I am 72 now and not good at throwing javelin in masters athletics in B C (CAN) while participating in all the types of throws but javelin learning is close to my heart. Thanks a lot.
Its good to be aware that pointing the feet forward allow for more speed, but the athlete should keep in mind that getting the hips as closed as possible, within reason of course, will produce the best throw.
Sir I am Indian javelin thrower and watch your videos you teach a lot sir excellent but I have question that my javelin doesn't take height I don't know why
I’ll have to work on that video. Generally if you want to throw higher, you need more rearward lean before you hit the block. Once you hit the block, your body goes from a low position to a higher position and that will pull the arm/javelin from a low position to a high position while pulling from back to front.
Here’s one where I talk about the grip. Javelin Throw - How to Release the Javelin off the Fingers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uiP9ad_YRfY.html
Depends on how much experience they had before becoming a freshman. In Oregon average distance for boys could be around 120-140 feet. Girls between 60 to 90. I’m only guessing though. Athletic.net has a lot of stats.
Could be an issue with acceleration or just setting up to be able to move through the delivery phase in the right sequence. Do you throw any farther with a 7 or 9 step? If not, it could be the delivery phase. Maybe try this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H0MiISHC2ao.html
